  1. False. False. No. God is not real. Even if you do believe in the bible there’s nothing relevant to modern geopolitics.
  2. I don’t understand Canadians who deride and troll the CFL. Many of the same people who claim they won’t watch the CFL because they *think* the players aren’t NFL-caliber talent happily watch minor league hockey. And it’s uniquely a Canadian thing. Nobody is more into football than Americans and those who have seen the CFL speak very highly of it. They certainly don’t troll it the way some Canadians feel the need to. I think some Canadians need a league to have American teams in order to feel validated. In their mind Canada is “small time” and USA is “big time”. If the Canadian NHL teams split off to form their own Canadian hockey league even with the same players I wonder if they would also get the same level of trolling from their fellow Canadians.
  3. Here’s my problem with that sentiment, it’s not like CFL players fumble the ball more or drop more passes so I don’t really understand what people are saying when they say NFL has better athletes. The leagus emphasize different attributes, what makes someone successful in one doesn’t necessarily translate to the other league. A 300 lb NFL lineman couldn’t hack it in the CFL where lineman need to be able to run down the field after a passing play then the ball is snapped 20 seconds later but that never gets mentioned by people. Same goes for other positions where small nimble players specialized for the CFL with its wide-open running and high speed cornering while NFL prefers large lumbering players who “crash through” their opponents. Ricky Williams is a perfect example of a NFL player who at the peak of his career couldn’t hack it in the CFL due to the style change and then went back to have a stellar NFL career. The flawed logic is that since the NFL pays its players millions of dilapidated they must have every talented player on the planet on their rosters but that’s not true. Perhaps BECAUSE they pay millions of dollars they can’t afford to recruit every talented player and the us college system produces a fresh crop of talented players every year The NFL can’t even scout them all much less absorb them all and they don’t always choose correctly among those they do sign. As for “the product” this can only mean the non-football spectacle: the celebrities, the media hype, the T&A, the megabowl with 80,000 screaming fans. The NFL game itself is slow and boring in comparison I don’t think NFL fans are there because they are rules connoisseurs and would take up CFL if only it had NFL rules In fact the opposite NFL would be better if they played CFL style, which in fact has been sort of the trend as NFL uses more CFL style “athletic” running quarterbacks and the pass-heavy “California offence”
  4. First the changes, which many think make it too much like the NFL Mixed reaction, BC’s QB Rourke calls them “garbage” I am ok with tinkering on the Rouge rule but the rest I feel are either bad or unnecessary changes for no reason. The Commissioner who pushed them through without consultation has only been with the league for less than a year. What are your thoughts?
  5. Your link doesn’t say half support Hamas it says half don’t support anti-Hamas demonstrations that Palestinians are also doing which isn’t exactly the same thing. So AT MOST half support Hamas but likely it’s less than that for those who don’t support Hamas or the protests. At any rate Netanyahu forced this outcome because he is on the cusp of swallowing up west bank making a viable Palestinian state an impossibility. Anyone can tell that there will never be lasting peace without a 2-state solution.
  6. And The Germans voted for Hitler what’s your point? This is your analogy here so be consistent And besides that ONE election was decades ago already, and was an anti-incumbent vote against the PA due to dissatisfaction with corruption. Hamas at the time did not campaign on attacking Israel and even promised a ling-term truce
  7. Trump’s lie-filled gaslighting and rambling at the UN today was a sight to behold. Even by his standards is was pretty ridiculous. It was quite clear that none of it was intended for the international audience in front of him, just more fake news and res meat for his domestic base. Absurd lies about the economy, absurd lies about the environment, absurd lies about Biden I wish the MAGAs could really just see their cult leader through the eyes of the outside world for just a minute and realize what a buffoon he truly is to everyone else.
  8. No, “giving land” to Palestinians and saying Hamas can play no part is like giving Germany to the Germans and saying Nazis can play no part, which is exactly what happened. No, its not. Hamas doesn’t want a 2 state solution either.
  9. Listening to that orange m0r0n ramble on with hilariously absurd claims that “he heard” about Tylenol and autism, it’s like what you would hear from young kids when they’re talking about something they know nothing about. “They” currently pump babies full of injections from a vat of 80 different chemicals like a horse. The amish and Cubans don’t have autism. None of its true and yet it’s the president at a national press conference spewing this nonsense. The idiocracy is real.
  10. But we all need steel. Burning coal for steel is a necessary evil. We don’t need to burn coal for energy the fact that republicans want to not only continue this unnecessary pollution but increase it just to “pwn the libs” and their crony capitalism. It’s ridiculous you would try to equate the two. But that’s your specialty, equating 2 things that have nothing in common. Anyways as I have pointed out to you several times now, this thread isn’t about the environment, it’s about America’s shitty decrepit power grid that Trump is making even worse just when electricity demand is expected to increase exponentially. You’re just trying to change the subject because you know you don’t have a leg to stand on and you’re grasping at straws
  11. The conditions were quite clearly laid out in the declaration
  12. LMAO so now you’ll have us believe Kimmel earned all his money from adding Trump jokes to his monologue? You are by far the worst gaslighter on this forum. Donnie is the one who has made a fortune peddling hate to clueless dupes like you
  13. To be fair, Blundell is no authority. Even calling him a sportswriter is a bit of a stretch. He’s a former Toronto radio morning shock jock who lost his job after one too many on-air controversies and now make a living with online content and I believe he has or had a show on sports radio.
  14. The headline is sensational. He didn’t have time off simply “for being indigenous”. “The offender’s life has been directly influenced by many of the Gladue factors,” Williams said. “He has existed for extended periods of time in his life in a state of severe poverty or homelessness, he is under educated, he has struggled with severe addiction issues and as a child was taken from his family and placed in a foster care system where he was sexually abused and separated from his siblings. The racism he faced in his own family and in the outside world, no doubt impacted his views as to how others should be treated.” According to the decision, RJM “lives his life in a state of fight versus flight, it is a direct reflection of how he has been forced to live since a very young age.” If he had been your typical middle class Canadian who had grown up in a healthy home environment he wouldn’t have had time reduced simply because of his indigenous ancestry.
  15. Well he’s been travelling so much lately it was bound to get lost in an airport somewhere. Gdp per capita is not the same as average income
  16. Great so now that immigration has been capped you’re not angry anymore right?
  17. BREAKING NEWS: Visible Minorities don’t experience discrimination if they’re immigrants Omg even for the National Post this article is bad
  18. The Americans have this irrational fear of public services but have no qualms about indenturing themselves to unaccountable private organizations and corporations that are far more overbearing and self-interested. Look at their healthcare system for example.
  19. The HOA is set up by the developer when the community is built and the HOA is meant to so a lot of things we Canadians normally expect municipal government to do like maintain roads and parks etc. When you buy a property in one of these communities the property title comes with “Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions” language stating that you agree to abide by the HOA and pay all associated fees and any fines they may levy against you for non-compliance. They can even force you to sell or remortgage your house to settle even just a couple thousand or dollars of unpaid fees and fines. Of course these HOAs are notoriously corrupt, rife with favouritism, nepotism, bullying, kickbacks, skimming, etc and they’re also famous for massively overreaching, dictating people’s lives forcing them to put up specific types decorations on specific holidays for example, what colour paint and curtains they can have, and so on. Thankfully we don’t have anything really comparable in Canada. Maybe the worst condo boards might be the closest. Apparently there are a very small number of “residents associations” in Canada that aim to have some community social organization and pay for things like swimming pools and such but they have nowhere near the power or overreach as the American HOAs.
  20. The Trump pin is real, the only questionable part is whether the.cult followers wear it voluntarily or if it’s mandatory edict of the dictator, as if one explanation is slightly better than the other. The Trump White House is saying it’s only a voluntary symbol of one’s devotion to Dear Leader. Meanwhile the cultists are draping large banners of the scowling Dictator On Day One over federal buildings, something that is a feature of.literally every depiction of a dystopian future dictatorship all that’s missing is the “big brother is watching” line at the bottom How can anyone think this totally normal?
  21. But I don’t do that at all, troll.
  22. Har har har. I’m sure Trump is the top of that leaderboard.
  23. I don’t “run away”. Unlike losers like you who have no life outside the the internet and presumably live alone, I limit the time I spend going round and round with people making absurd arguments like your claim that Trump’s attempts to steal the 2020 election were no different than Gore exercising the explicit provision that allows any candidate to request a manual recount, or your suggestion that Trump’s baseless lawsuits being dismissed as lacking the basic standard for evidence or legal argument for a hearing and tossed out more than 60 times is the same thing as Al Gore winning his cases in all the way up to highest level of appeal and losing by a single SCOTUS vote and that Trump’s refusal to concede the election until after his Jan 6 assault on the Capitol failed is the exact same thing as Gore conceding as soon as the SCOTUS decision was delivered. Amd here you are trolling me when I wasn’t even talking to you. AGAIN. You’ve got Beaver Derangement Syndrome.
  24. No, you’ve distorted the story beyond all recognition and don’t know the facts. The FBI never told anyone to censor content specifically about “Biden’s notebook” They encouraged companies to have their own independent policy to identify and remove foreign disinformation and to enforce it. They didn’t tell them what or who to censor Similarly during the pandemic they pressured social media companies to crack sown on COVID disinformation Specifically:"When confronted with a deadly pandemic, this Administration encouraged responsible actions to protect public health and safety. Our position has been clear and consistent: we believe tech companies and other private actors should take into account the effects their actions have on the American people, while making independent choices about the information they present." They did NOT demand certain public figures be censored for insulting Biden, which is the equivalent of what Trump did to Kimmel and it ridiculous but typical of you to pretend these are the same thing LMAO this is that pathetic thing you do when I bury you with evidence that you can’t refute. “Wah you typed too many words my ADHD to process!” And then without any attempt at explanation you somehow claim baselessly that the things that prove you wrong actually prove you right. Like you think it’s some master debate move to just reply “you proved me right” no matter what the other person says. It’s really sad.
  25. The link you provided is talk about campaign contributions and political advertising, not people who say things politicians don’t like.
