UN Staff Tried To Sabotage Trump?
BeaverFever replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
So you’re certain that there is a circuit breaker that controls JUST that one escalator and someone was down there standing by and somehow still able to see the president approach the escalator ? Must’ve been the UN flew in some kind of A-Team specialists with cameras and walkie talkies to get that timing down that somehow even the secret service didn’t detect just so they could execute a covert mission to…make him walk up steps? LMAO do you know how dumb it sounds? A photographer in Trump’s entourage at the top of the escalator accidentally bumped the button, genius. Yeah the staff of the person speaking, aka another unqualified Trump employee hired solely for their undying cult loyalty to their Dear Leader (if male) or their superhuman ability to tolerate sexual harassment (if female)- 15 replies

Bullshit. First Trump DID commit the crimes he was convicted for the only republican complaint was that he should be exempt because he is a politician Second, prosecutors took those cases under their own authority and discretion, Biden didn’t order them to Amd Obama didn’t order any “faked” intelligence reports on Trump Third as Ive pointed out before your argument of “now it’s OUR turn to be corrupt” has no moral or legal basis. Even you claims of Biden/Obama corruption were true (which they’re not) the only solid is to END the corrupt and govern with integrity, not make corruption the permanent “new normal” by perpetuating it. Fifth, neither Obama nor Biden had to fire a prosecutor for refusing to bring charges against Trump and then replaced them with a completely unqualified INSURANCE LAWYER with ZERO criminal experience in order to bring charges against Trump

UN Staff Tried To Sabotage Trump?
BeaverFever replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
There is no secret remote control that secretly turns off an elevator right when some is about to step on it. Or one that turns off a teleprompter Someone in Trump’s entourage bumped the emergency stop button on the escalator and Trump’s incompetent staff were operating the teleprompter when it stopped working. Trump sabotaged his own speech with his absurd, meandering, lie-filled rant that went on for over an hour when he was only supposed to speak for 15 minutes.- 15 replies

Trump promised he would weaponize the DOJ and use it to settle grudges and personal vendettas. After the first US Attorney refused Trump’s order to indict his enemies he was fired/forced to resign and replaced with an unqualified 36 year old insurance lawyer with no criminal experience who is willing to do the dictator’s dirty work. Gotta love that fascism.

LMAO That’s some premium gaslighting there! 5 minutes ago Trump and and his cult were supporting Putin while complaining “war monger” Biden was prolonging the war and bankrupting America by supporting Ukraine. NOW it’s “Trump is trying to support Ukraine while Biden did nothing”. Seriously do you actually believe your own bullshit? Where’s @Nationalist@taxmeand @WestCanMan?

We are here at least in our current form and condition by an accident of the cosmos. It makes perfect sense. It makes as much sense as any religion, past or present. Hinduism, Buddhism, Zeus, Thor, indigenous tribal beliefs and so on. Those make sense to man because they were made by man. Also, the bible is full of irrational and illogical stories perhaps more so than many other religions simply because it’s been tampered with and adulterated so much. Man-made morality makes right and wrong and you can clearly see that a Christians can’t even agree among themselves what is right and wrong. Christianity and many religions don’t really teach morality or right and wrong, they teach blind obedience to scripture. What is obedient is right and what is disobedient is wrong, period end of story. Criminals almost by definition think they can do whatever they want y get away with it. And the vast majority of them are religious BTW they’re not atheists. Nah.

Trump’s about-face on Ukraine baffles leaders on both sides of conflict …Mr. Trump posted Tuesday on his Truth Social platform that “after getting to know and fully understand the Ukraine/Russia Military and Economic situation” he believed that – with the support of the European Union and NATO – Ukraine “is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form.” It was yet another stark reversal on Russia and Ukraine from Mr. Trump, who came to office boasting that he could end the war in 24 hours. As recently as the Aug. 19 meeting in the White House – which followed a face-to-face summit in Alaska with Russian President Vladimir Putin – Mr. Trump was pushing Ukraine to accept a peace deal that would allow Russia to keep the roughly 20 per cent of Ukrainian territory it has conquered since February, 2022. Mr. Trump has also whiplashed between blaming Mr. Zelensky and his own predecessor, Joe Biden, for “starting” a war he viewed as unwinnable (Mr. Putin instigated the conflict by ordering an full-scale invasion of Ukraine), and expressing disappointment with Mr. Putin’s unwillingness to make peace. https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/115255130298104593

Major CFL Rule Changes: Like or Dislike?
BeaverFever replied to BeaverFever's topic in Travel, Leisure and Sports
I don’t understand Canadians who deride and troll the CFL. Many of the same people who claim they won’t watch the CFL because they *think* the players aren’t NFL-caliber talent happily watch minor league hockey. And it’s uniquely a Canadian thing. Nobody is more into football than Americans and those who have seen the CFL speak very highly of it. They certainly don’t troll it the way some Canadians feel the need to. I think some Canadians need a league to have American teams in order to feel validated. In their mind Canada is “small time” and USA is “big time”. If the Canadian NHL teams split off to form their own Canadian hockey league even with the same players I wonder if they would also get the same level of trolling from their fellow Canadians. -
Major CFL Rule Changes: Like or Dislike?
BeaverFever replied to BeaverFever's topic in Travel, Leisure and Sports
Here’s my problem with that sentiment, it’s not like CFL players fumble the ball more or drop more passes so I don’t really understand what people are saying when they say NFL has better athletes. The leagus emphasize different attributes, what makes someone successful in one doesn’t necessarily translate to the other league. A 300 lb NFL lineman couldn’t hack it in the CFL where lineman need to be able to run down the field after a passing play then the ball is snapped 20 seconds later but that never gets mentioned by people. Same goes for other positions where small nimble players specialized for the CFL with its wide-open running and high speed cornering while NFL prefers large lumbering players who “crash through” their opponents. Ricky Williams is a perfect example of a NFL player who at the peak of his career couldn’t hack it in the CFL due to the style change and then went back to have a stellar NFL career. The flawed logic is that since the NFL pays its players millions of dilapidated they must have every talented player on the planet on their rosters but that’s not true. Perhaps BECAUSE they pay millions of dollars they can’t afford to recruit every talented player and the us college system produces a fresh crop of talented players every year The NFL can’t even scout them all much less absorb them all and they don’t always choose correctly among those they do sign. As for “the product” this can only mean the non-football spectacle: the celebrities, the media hype, the T&A, the megabowl with 80,000 screaming fans. The NFL game itself is slow and boring in comparison I don’t think NFL fans are there because they are rules connoisseurs and would take up CFL if only it had NFL rules In fact the opposite NFL would be better if they played CFL style, which in fact has been sort of the trend as NFL uses more CFL style “athletic” running quarterbacks and the pass-heavy “California offence” -
First the changes, which many think make it too much like the NFL Mixed reaction, BC’s QB Rourke calls them “garbage” I am ok with tinkering on the Rouge rule but the rest I feel are either bad or unnecessary changes for no reason. The Commissioner who pushed them through without consultation has only been with the league for less than a year. What are your thoughts?

Your link doesn’t say half support Hamas it says half don’t support anti-Hamas demonstrations that Palestinians are also doing which isn’t exactly the same thing. So AT MOST half support Hamas but likely it’s less than that for those who don’t support Hamas or the protests. At any rate Netanyahu forced this outcome because he is on the cusp of swallowing up west bank making a viable Palestinian state an impossibility. Anyone can tell that there will never be lasting peace without a 2-state solution.

And The Germans voted for Hitler what’s your point? This is your analogy here so be consistent And besides that ONE election was decades ago already, and was an anti-incumbent vote against the PA due to dissatisfaction with corruption. Hamas at the time did not campaign on attacking Israel and even promised a ling-term truce

Orangey and The Brainworm Strike Again
BeaverFever replied to herbie's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Trump’s lie-filled gaslighting and rambling at the UN today was a sight to behold. Even by his standards is was pretty ridiculous. It was quite clear that none of it was intended for the international audience in front of him, just more fake news and res meat for his domestic base. Absurd lies about the economy, absurd lies about the environment, absurd lies about Biden I wish the MAGAs could really just see their cult leader through the eyes of the outside world for just a minute and realize what a buffoon he truly is to everyone else. -

Listening to that orange m0r0n ramble on with hilariously absurd claims that “he heard” about Tylenol and autism, it’s like what you would hear from young kids when they’re talking about something they know nothing about. “They” currently pump babies full of injections from a vat of 80 different chemicals like a horse. The amish and Cubans don’t have autism. None of its true and yet it’s the president at a national press conference spewing this nonsense. The idiocracy is real. -
But we all need steel. Burning coal for steel is a necessary evil. We don’t need to burn coal for energy the fact that republicans want to not only continue this unnecessary pollution but increase it just to “pwn the libs” and their crony capitalism. It’s ridiculous you would try to equate the two. But that’s your specialty, equating 2 things that have nothing in common. Anyways as I have pointed out to you several times now, this thread isn’t about the environment, it’s about America’s shitty decrepit power grid that Trump is making even worse just when electricity demand is expected to increase exponentially. You’re just trying to change the subject because you know you don’t have a leg to stand on and you’re grasping at straws

The Latest Confirmation of the MAGA CULT
BeaverFever replied to robosmith's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
To be fair, Blundell is no authority. Even calling him a sportswriter is a bit of a stretch. He’s a former Toronto radio morning shock jock who lost his job after one too many on-air controversies and now make a living with online content and I believe he has or had a show on sports radio.
