OMFG WHAT TANKS THERE ARE NO TANKS - NO ATTACKS ON AMERICANS BY ANYONE You continually refuse to explain how any of these people are terrorists. Your dumbass analogy of the guys fuelling tanks RELIES ON the idea that they are still supporting attacks on Americans but in REALITY none of the Venezuelans are supporting any attacks. So its not like fuelling tanks at all. AT ALL. And then your next ignorant argument was to claim that the US military thousands of miles just to bomb the low-level guys who did minor jobs like “fuel tanks” when in reality they only did that to kill leaders and high value targets not the peasants who work for them. No they are not and it’s not “semantics” when will you MAGAs learn that words have meaning for a reason. You’re not a terrorist just because Donald Trump says you are. He doesn’t have free license to just murder who ever he pleases and make it legal by just calling them terrorists. And you continue to lie and misrepresent what I said which again proves you have no real argument. FACT: NO EVIDENCE HAS BEEN PRESENTED TO THE PUBLIC AND YOU KNOW IT For you to suggest that the fact that the military followed orders is evidence is beyond stupid even for you FACT: you continue to lie about what I said There’s an actual thing called war crimes, look it up. Not a distraction at all. The Iraq war, which was based on a President’s lies, is a valid rebuttal to your ridiculous claim that the military doesn’t carry out orders unless they’re justified so that’s “evidence” that Trump’s claims are true. That’s not a conspiracy. The president is commander in chief of the military. They follow his orders, they don’t refuse orders unless the President can persuade them they’re legitimate. Clearly you know nothing about the military. No, you and Trump are the liars Trump is singlehandedly responsible for these attacks because he is the one who concocted up this half-baked ridiculous story about America being targeted by these fictitious “narco-terrorists” and then he ordered the military to the coast of Venezuela to hunt them down This is his campaign that he dreamed up You are talking as if you think the US military just bumped into these people by chance or something. Are the people being killed local smugglers? Sure, maybe. Perhaps even probably. But they’re not “terrorists” and they’re not targeting USA. SO go ahead a keep lying that I’m claiming that they’re families on sailboats because you’re off your rocker and have no rational argument, everyone who reads this thread can see that. You’re not only ignorant about the war on terror you can’t even follow simple statements of fact. When ACTUAL terrorists targeted the USA or Americans at hime or abroad they were hunted down wherever they were hiding. YOUR so-called “narco-terrorists” are not actual terrorists by any stretch of the imagination and are not targeting USA or Americans. Genius, the problem isn’t with killing terrorists overseas it’s that the people Trump is targeting AREN’T TERRORISTS by any stretch of imagination. How many times does it need to be said????? JFC you really know nothing. Obama and Trumo don’t staybup ant night doing intelligence work finding target Obama says “find me Al-Qaeda targets”. The military finds the targets tells Obama they’re confident it’s legitimate and clean and Obama gives the green light. Obama doesn’t say “go bomb a wedding of innocent people and go bomb some US troops” Trump says” Go bomb some smugglers off the coast of Venezuela, I’ll tell the public these are “narco-terrorists” targeting America, my gullible supporters will believe anything I say. Those smugglers are criminals anyway so who cares.” Trump hand pick the target he relies on military to identify and if some were fishermen that’s on the military but the whole fake mission is on Trump. So to recap 1) You don’t know what Trump’s justification for these attacks is 2) You don’t know what the evidence for Trump’s claims of “narco-terrorists targeting America” is or how they even supposedly targeted America 3) You don’t know what a terrorist is 4) You don’t know what war crimes are 5) You don’t know anything about the Global War on Terror 6) You don’t know what my arguments are so you lie and make up straw men

Per this link, I believe the Beowulf is the variant on offer: https://www.baesystems.com/en/article/bae-systems-teams-with-general-dynamics-land-systems-to-compete-for-canadas-dame-project I believe Beo is the armoured version, the “flat front” apparently allows for heavier modular frontal armour to be mounted and a v-shaped hull with crew compartment higher up, while the Viking’s long nose shown in your pic is better for amphibious operations, less water resistance and splashing (but both are amphibious). The Viking does look cooler though. And since this is for domestic mobility one would think they wouldn’t need armour but they did take the bv206 to Afghanistan so I suppose they’re just covering their bases. Edit: for all I know this announcement is just going to be about northern infrastructure or northern supply hubs or something it just come on the same day that Canada gets admitted to SAFE and Sweden was just here so I’m taking a shot in the sark. As I think about it, maybe it is an infrastructure thing. Or maybe Globaleye AWACS that I mentioned earlier. But it sounds like something good.

Canada reaches deal to join EU military procurement fund Canada has concluded negotiations to join the European Union’s military purchasing fund as the 27-member economic bloc ramps up defence spending, Ottawa says. Prime Minister Mark Carney’s government, however, is refusing to reveal the entrance fee it will have to pay for its membership in the Secure Action for Europe, or SAFE, program. As part of SAFE, Canada will be able to make joint weapons purchases with other EU countries to achieve savings through large-scale buying, and Canadian companies will be eligible to bid for contracts financed by the €150-billion fund…. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-canada-eu-military-procurement-fund-defence-spending/

But there has been growing frustration among some Canadian defence firms that the Canadian military is ignoring Carney’s call to decrease reliance on U.S. suppliers. Canadian military leaders are extremely close to their U.S. counterparts and despite the prime minister’s direction have advocated for increased ties to the Americans. The recent sole source purchase of the U.S. High Mobility Artillery Rocket System or HIMARS also contributes to the use of American-only equipment for the Joint Fires Modernization program. The Joint Fires equipment will be used to co-ordinate artillery and rocket capabilities on the battlefield. South Korea had pitched Canada on its alternative to HIMARS which Poland recently purchased as part of its arms buildup to counter Russian aggression. South Korean companies pointed out that they were not only offering industrial benefits to Canada but sovereign control over the technology. That level of control over military systems is a particular area of concern for a number of nations considering some of the issues that have emerged with U.S. equipment. Ukraine, for instance, has used HIMARS in combat against Russian forces, but earlier this year the Americans were able to reduce the effectiveness of the weapon system by limiting the flow of data and intelligence needed for its operations. Despite the significant amount of U.S. control over HIMARS, the Canadian Army leadership convinced the Liberal government to go ahead and purchase the American system. However, that equipment won’t be delivered until at least 2029. The estimated total cost is US$1.75 billion or CDN$2.4 billion and the principal contractor is Lockheed Martin, located in Texas. The Canadian Forces and Department of National Defence did not respond to a request for comment on HIMARS and what industrial benefits, if any, were to be obtained for the more than $2 billion in spending. The Ottawa Citizen also reported Nov. 19that the Canadian Trade Tribunal issued a recommendation to reboot $100-million Canadian Army project to buy night-vision equipment in the wake of allegations the proposed purchase was designed to favour U.S. manufacturers. Canadian and European companies had complained about changes brought in by the Department of National Defence which put emphasis on U.S. products, according to government documents discussing the procurement. In a series of written responses to the government, the companies noted the changes restricted the purchase to equipment sourced exclusively from the Americans. In addition, the companies were told that the level of Canadian content in equipment to be tested would not be taken into consideration during the evaluation of systems. The federal government is aware of the tribunal decision “and is determining next steps,” Public Services and Procurement Canada spokesperson Michèle LaRose stated in an email. https://ottawacitizen.com/public-service/defence-watch/canadian-army-u-s-equipment Point of correction in the article, Canada hasn’t purchased HIMARS yet. But regardless, basically what the US is doing is restricting technology such that “interoperable with US” means “must import and only use US-made equipment and software under US-made terms of use” But at the same time Trump is making US interoperability less relevant by suggesting to NATO countries that any US support in a future conflict will be conditional and transactional and on terms favourable to the US, instead of an alliance. Already NATO leaders are planning how to operate without the US. The World is sick of being under America’s thumb. As for these American bootlickers in the CAF leadership they need to wake up.

Concerns raised that another Canadian Army project is being tailored just for U.S. equipment There has been growing frustration among some Canadian defence firms that the military is ignoring Carney’s call to decrease reliance on U.S. suppliers. Published Dec 01, 2025 Last updated 7 hours ago 4 minute read The Canadian Army's Joint Fires Modernization program will acquire modern hardware and software to aid in targeting enemy forces and connect forward observers with artillery units and other systems.Photo by CANADIAN FORCES IMAGERY A new Canadian Army equipment program that could be worth almost $500 million is designed to select only U.S.-provided equipment, despite claims by Prime Minister Mark Carney the military will be reducing purchases of American systems. The Joint Fires Modernization program will cost between $250 million and $499 million and see the acquisition of hardware and software to enable the Canadian Army to digitally share data and targeting information between its various units and coalition forces. But the technology for the Joint Fires Modernization will be acquired through the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) process with the U.S. government, according to the draft request for proposals provided to the defence industry. Not only does that exclude Canadian and European companies from bidding but the FMS process — which is a direct equipment purchase from American companies via the U.S. government —does not require any industrial benefits for Canada. Multiple defence industry officials contacted the Ottawa Citizen to raise concerns about the Joint Fires Modernization program, complaining that army commander Lt. Gen. Michael Wright and Defence Minister David McGuinty are ignoring domestic firms and European companies for upcoming major equipment programs. Those contacting the Ottawa Citizen did not want to speak on record about their concerns for fear of jeopardizing future efforts to obtain government contracts. But a review of the draft request for proposals clearly outlined the requirement for U.S. technology. “All components of the Digital Joint Fire Support C2 software will be used in conjunction with the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System and subsequently the AFATDS Artillery Execution Suite, available to Canada via Foreign Military Sale,” noted one of the requirements. Other key components of the project require modules and software that only American firms have access to through the U.S. government. Radios to be used are those operated by the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army and which are only available to American suppliers via the U.S. government. Standard Canadian military radios are not included in the requirements. Neither Wright nor the Canadian Army responded to a request for comment. McGuinty did not respond to a request for comment. This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below. Initial delivery of the new system would be set for 2026, according to the Canadian Forces. During a June 9 speech, Prime Minister Mark Carney repeated an earlier promisethat Canada would cut back on using its defence dollars to purchase U.S. military equipment. The U.S. has become increasingly hostile to Canada, with U.S. President Donald Trump continuing with his economic efforts to punish Canada and push for this country to become the 51st state. “We should no longer send three-quarters of our defence capital spending to America,” Carney said. “The transformation of our military capabilities can help with the transformation of our economy.” But there has been growing frustration among some Canadian defence firms that the Canadian military is ignoring Carney’s call to decrease reliance on U.S. suppliers. Canadian military leaders are extremely close to their U.S. counterparts and despite the prime minister’s direction have advocated for increased ties to the Americans. US MILITARY, dumbass. It not “combat” if you’re the only combatant. You are so absurdly dense. . Another of you RIDICULOUS ARGUMENTS These are not terrorist groups by any definition of the word. If they were them maybe you would start to have a shred of a point. Terrorist groups are armed, politically or ideologically motivated and declared war on USA, actively targeted US civilians amd soldiers all over the world. By joining such a group you are a combatant even if you only fuel their truck. The terrorist group is armed even if you aren’t NONE of that applies to local drug smugglers thousands of miles from US soil, if that’s even what these people even were There you go lying again and still misusing the word “conspiracy” Another ridiculous argument. Letss just be clear here ZERO evidence has been presented publicly verifying that any of the Trump administration’s claims are true. Your dumbass argument is basically that they wouldn’t be doing this if there wasn’t evidence therefore the fact that the strikes happen is the only evidence required. Totally dystopian Orwellian logic you’’d expect from Stalin’s Soviet Union. “The fact that I’m executing you is the evidence that you’re guilty”. Need I remove you the military under previous Republican president invaded Iraq because of the false claim that Saddam had WMD and was involved in 9/11? The military follows orders especially under this administration who has placed loyalists throughout the leadership. You expect us to believe the military only follows orders when they’ve carefully reviewed the evidence and they’re convinced the president is right ? Another right wing chickenhawk who doesn’t know shit about the military but sniffs military jock at every turn. Quelle surprise. Trump is a liar. His claims are fabricated and exaggerated. His arguments have no basis in US or international law and defy common logic. The military follows the president’s orders. Anyone who can’t understand those facts is the stupid person. LMAO you’re clearly becoming unhinged. I don’t think you even know what you’re arguing anymore you’re just responding line by line trying to think of something that disagrees with the sentence you just read. I clearly said all over the globe multiple times, go give it a re-read. USA targeted terrorist organizations that attacked the US no matter where their people went in the world. What don’t you understand? If they bombed terrorists in a certain country its because those people were 1) members of a terrorist group at war with USA and 2) involved in planning or carrying out attacks on Americans somewhere in world. NONE OF THOSE APPLY to Trump’s attacks off the coast of Venezuela. USA didn’t bomb random people because they didn’t like what they were doing. They certainly never bombed people just because they were drug smugglers. How f king stupid are you? Obama didn’t have a policy of deliberately blowing up weddings and Americans , those were accidents and didn’t happen on Obama’s personal orders….unlike Trump’s boat strikes which is official presidential policy carried out at his personal directive. What is his argument then?
-
Nope
-
I assume you’re just referring to the “collusion” here. And no it wasn’t proven to be a lie just because he OJ Simpson’d his way out of it. He is still kissing Putin’s ass and trying to engineer Ukraine’s surrender.
-
Nope not at all
-
No it is NOT combat. Only one side is armed and doing the shooting the other side is unarmed and not a combatant. If someone murdered you in your sleep that wouldn’t be combat either. The fact that Trump can’t produce a shred evidence to the public (whether legally required to or not) shows that he is full of shyte. Its not a conspiracy that the military is following Trump’s orders and not speaking out. That’s what the military dies. You’re also lying by claiming I said they were families out on a cruise, which just shows you have no argument so you invent false ones for the other side. . They may or may not be smuggling drugs or other contraband that is irrelevant. No your argument is stupid! Trump is the one who ordered this unprecedented campaign and these are his alleged justifications for it. The military isn’t just out there doing this with Trump’s ok, Trump’s administration dreamed this up amd the dubious arguments behind them. No, Apparently you’re not aware. Those REAL terrorists were attacking US troops in active combat zones like Iraq and Afghanistan and Americans all around the world (as I already mentioned and you ignored for another false argument of yours). They were card-carrying members of known terrorist organizations that publicly bragged about attacking America and posted beheadings of Americans on the internet. the fact that you think that has any similarity is YOUR stupidity. What don’t you understand? 1) Trump says smuggling cocaine into USA makes you a state-sponsored “narco-terrorism” against USA punishable by immediate execution 2) Trump pardons former president of Honduras who smuggled hundreds of tons of cocaine into USA while he was in office after only 1 year in prison….clearly contradicting point 1. You “irrelevant”! Explain how that is “irrelevant”. You can’t.
-
There is ZERO evidence that people Trump is killing are “terrorists” by any definition of the term or are intentionally trying to “harm the USA”. There’s not even any evidence that they trying to smuggle drugs, and if they are trying to smuggle drugs , there’s no evidence that it’s destined for the United States. To follow your argument one has to: 1) Believe the “facts” alleged by Trump are true (that they are carrying cocaine) despite Trump being a known shameless liar. THIS MAY OR MAY NOT BE TRUE 2) Believe the “fact” alleged by Trump that they are not simply middlemen passing drugs along to the next cartel in the globalist supply chain but deliberately smuggling cocaine to USA If 1 is true, 2 is plausible simply because USA is a large and nearby market but cocaine is sold GLOBALLY and it all moves through the same region 3) Believe the “fact” that they’re not just selling cocaine to make money from selling a profitable contraband buy as a deliberate for of warfare against USA. This is LAUGHABLE. Cocaine is mostly a party drug for people with hundreds of dollars to spend for one night’s worth of amusement. Don Jr. probably snorts his weight in coke every weekend. It’s not fentanyl or heroine Venezuela doesn’t even produce cocaine so they wouldn’t be the source of it anyway. Then after believing the above dubious claims you then have to make the ridiculous leap of logic that 1) the smugglers and their employees are therefore “terrorists” or “armed combatants” when there are no arms or combat involved ANYWHERE (unlike in your ridiculous tank analogy) 2) they can therefore be killed on sight as if they were 3) completely ignore the fact that Trump just pardoned a head of state who smuggled hundreds of tons into USA and that Reagan/Bush allowed an incalculable amount of cocaine into USA to fund their Iran-Contra death squads and secret wars as this completely contradicts your sudden newfound moral outrage and demands for summary execution for anyone smuggling cocaine into USA oh and when they did recently capture 2 survivors of a strike, they let the supposed “narco terrorists” go. Why ? At least when the previous Republican president wanted to gin up a phoney excuse for regime change to seize a country’s oil they had common courtesy to fabricate evidence Trump and his minions just expect you to believe their lies That is seriously the dumbest thing you have said on this forum. Are you seriously not aware of something called 9/11 and that for a 15-year period afterwards there were constant deadly terrorist attacks on US and European soil and against US troops abroad, perpetrated by terrorist groups that publicly avowed to destroy America and kill Americans anywhere in the world? How old are you? You think that’s no different than smuggling contraband rich kid party favours into USA (if that is even what they were doing). People smuggle drugs into USA because Americans WANT them and will pay hundreds of dollars a pop for them. Nobody wanted to be killed by ISIS. The fact that you think these 2 things are identical is just ridiculous. And when Americans captured REAL terroristS they sent them to GITMO or some other prison they didn’t let them go. HA! In what way is it irrelevant? It’s COMPLETELY RELEVANT! You have no rebuttal and got your ass handed to you so you do the typical MAGA “inconvenient facts are irrelevant!” maneuver. Pathetic. False on both counts!

Biden EO'S Canceled
BeaverFever replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
What amusing is that whenever a Democrat president issues EOs republicans scream that it’s unconstitutional, abuse of power, president is only supposed to be a figurehead or isn’t supposed to enact EOs that are controversial, the founding fathers intended for congress to run the country, and so on. But then whenever a Republican is elected suddenly he sets a new record for the number of EOs and Republicans cheer that it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread, finally someone is bypassing the swamp, cutting through red tape and congressional deadlock, founding fathers meant for the president to run the country and congress is just for symbolic debates, and so on. -
Those have not all been proven true now. They are all lies, depending on what your definition of “colluding” is. His Special Envoy was caught coaching his Russian counterpart on how to sell the Russian “peace plan” which is basically Ukrainian surrender and disarmament and lo and behold what is on offer. “Obama” didn’t “spy on him” Millions did NOT vote illegally. There is ZERO evidence of any unusual amount of fraudulent voting Trump lies daily about things big and small, he even lies about things that are obviously lies where you can only assume he knows the people he’s speaking to also know its a lie. The truth is simply irrelevant to people like him and the cretins he’s appointed to cabinet.
-
You’re the one being obtuse. Your ridiculous analogy bears no resemblance to reality. Members of a military that is at war with your country are by definition enemy combatants whether they are armed or not, driving tanks or fuel trucks. Civilians who are unarmed and whose country is not at war with you and who are thousands of miles from your border are neither combatants nor armed. Obama bombed terrorist groups who were at war with USA and committed attacks on US soil. Also not at all similar to Trump’s contrived offensive against Venezuela. And now Trump has declared all Venezuelan airspace closed to all civil air traffic, implying he will shoot down airliners full of civilians who I guess will also be enemy combatants? He already has special operations on the ground in Venezuela it clear he’s planning to invade. Also you clearly avoided acknowledging his pardon of major cocaine kingpin after only a year. If smuggling cocaine into USA is now considered a state-sanctioned act of war by a state against America deserving of immediate execution then why is Trump showing such leniency to a clearly guilty larty? Would be like pardoning Bin Laden after 9/11 and letting him out of prison after 1 year. You’re such a shameless unthinking apologist
-
But it’s not in the MOU. This is all moot anyways nobody in the private sector actually wants a new pipeline there’s not even olan sitting on shelf somewhere to dust off. What we’ll probably get is expanded capacity on TransMountain, which the federal government still owns and can’t find a an interested buyer for. If we cant find a buyer for an already operating and less controversial pipeline what hope is there for a hypothetical highly controversial pipeline that hasn’t even been designed mapped or fully conceived beyond theory?

I think without the Trump-triggered crisis Canadians wouldn’t have been willing for the massive reforms needed. Certainly business and finance would have fought to preserve the status quo and only accepted minor policy tweaks. And PP doesn’t have the business chops or the connections to make any real reforms possible. I think it really took the Trump Crisis and someone like Carney to really make waves. What remains to he seen is how much friction he will get from the business and finance community. I understand Carney and co. are really pressing Canadian pension funds, banks etc to invest more in Canada and to demand more reinvestment growth and innovation from the firms they invest in rather than just distribute their profits to shareholders as dividends.

The Alberta oil patch is also funded by foreign money, far more than environmental charities and non-profits. Some oil patch companies are majority foreign owned and controlled That’s why they don’t want to do any refining or value-add in Canada, they want to continue the colonial model off forcing Canadians to sell unrefined crude overseas at wholesale discount prices and then import it refined petroleum products back at a retail premium. They just want to feed their offshore value chains to please their foreign masters rather than building a Canadian value chain that builds a strong Canada.
-
This is why Conservatives can’t get elected. Even when they get what they want they complain they’re the victims and try to stir up controversy. But I guess when the right is complaining you sold out tot eh left and the left is complaining you sold out to the right, you know you’re in a reasonable spot. Notably, “the NDP Premier” points out that the MOU doesn’t require BC approval at all, so once again PP is caught in a lie.
-
Snipers are a key asset, they exist for a reason, most military assets don’t singlehandedly determine battles but are key nonetheless. They point is that the different assets all play different roles.
-
You can’t just declare anyone you dislike an “enemy combatant” to make killing them legal. In what way are unarmed people thousands of miles away from your shores and not engaging in combat a “combatant”? Per my earlier post Trump will be pardoning someone who flooded USA with hundreds tons of cocaine why isn’t he an “enemy combatant”? Ronald Reagan’s goons like Ollie North flooded USA with cocaine (or allowed it to be flooded) for their Iran-Contra scam. They got pardons from a Republican president too. That’s the real “sedition” not Kelly accurately telling servicemen they can ignore illegal orders. Why do some people get summary executions and others get pardons?

Survivors on ‘narco boat’ targeted by Trump order were blown apart after Hegseth verbal command to ‘kill everybody’: Report Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reportedly gave a verbal order to leave no survivors behind as Donald Trump’s administration launched the first of more than a dozen attacks on alleged drug-running boats that have killed more than 80 people over the last three months. On September 2, U.S. military personnel fired a missile striking a vessel in the Caribbean that carried 11 people accused of trafficking drugs into the United States. When two survivors emerged from the wreckage, a Special Operations commander overseeing the attack ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions to “kill everybody,” according to The Washington Post, citing officials with direct knowledge of the operation. https://ca.news.yahoo.com/survivors-narco-boat-targeted-trump-181519748.html

MTG Calls It Quits
BeaverFever replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I said it before, I’ll say it again, extremists always turn on each other in the end. Why did she quit? One or more of the following: 1) Finally realized her dreams of becoming a MAGA queen in Trump’s administration weren’t going to happen so she’s done with politics now that she can’t rise any higher 2) Trump’s people have dirt on her and forced her out. 3) Disillusioned with Republicans after so many turned on her over the Epstein controversy
