Is the population of Canada growing too fast?
Legato replied to NAME REMOVED's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
But when adjusting for the rising population, Canada’s real GDP per capita has been deteriorating for many years (chart 3). At the start of the 1980s, Canada enjoyed an edge against the average of advanced economies of almost US$4,000 while keeping fairly level with U.S. estimates. By 2000, this advantage had all but evaporated, and U.S. per capita GDP had pulled ahead of Canada’s to the tune of over US$8,000. Still, since the 2014-15 oil shock, Canada’s performance has gone from bad to worse. Canadian real GDP per capita has grown at a meagre rate of only +0.4% annually, paling in comparison to the advanced economy average of +1.4%. https://economics.td.com/ca-falling-behind-standard-of-living-curve -
So what happens if you live on a boat, Are you just borrowing the water? If so, yesterday's water has moved on. That would mean having to constantly find new lenders. Also the fish would have to do the same thing. then along comes a storm. Oh dear.

Simple. The carbon tax inflates the cost of everyday needed items, but you already know that and are just being obtuse and trying to confuse the issue That is Poilievre's point.

The Catholic church has become an obsolete behemoth more interested in enriching itself instead of offering any help other than empty words to the followers.

Where does he say Canada is not supplying munitions. He said he will focus on it. Not the same thing. It's not a spurious point but a major issue that Trudeau's incapable of seeing. It's not dishonest to show Trudeau's obsession with a carbon tax.

Just a small point... “I really think it speaks to how pathologically obsessed Trudeau is with the carbon tax, that while the knife is at the throat of Ukrainians, he would use that to impose his carbon tax ideology on those poor people,” said Poilievre before his caucus meeting on Wednesday. “The last thing they need is a carbon tax when they’re trying to rebuild from war and from this illegal invasion by Russia,” he added. Bruce Christie, assistant deputy minister for trade negotiations at Global Affairs Canada, told a parliamentary committee meeting on Nov. 7 that such pledges are “not binding provisions; they are co-operation provisions”. Other recent trade deals with the U.S., the European Union, the Trans Pacific Partnership have not mentioned carbon taxes. Poilievre said that Conservatives would remove any reference to the carbon tax in the Canada-Ukraine free trade deal if his party took office, and would instead focus on providing Canadian energy and munitions to Ukraine so that it can defend itself against Russia’s invasion. https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/poilievre-accuses-liberals-of-using-trade-deal-to-push-carbon-tax-ideology-on-war-torn-ukraine

Ass backward POV. Infrastructure is required before importing people. Tell your Unicorn story to the thousands of homeless, I'm sure they'll understand.
