  1. https://www.google.ca/amp/s/beta.ctvnews.ca/national/coronavirus/2020/6/19/1_4991365.html The fact that Canada has only seen a fraction of the illnesses and deaths projected in early worst-case scenarios is testament to the success of preventative measures, says Zain Chagla, a physician at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Hamilton Health Sciences in Hamilton, Ont.
  2. Swine flu killed far less with way more infections. 284,000 deaths with infections somewhere between 700 million and 1.4 billion. So far covid has 23.4 mil cases and 800,000 deaths. If we didn't take precautions and lock downs, etc then we'd be way past the 1 million mark for sure.
  3. Well I remember Michael Richards tried that. Didn't pan out too well for him.
  4. "Though he has repudiated racism and anti-Semitism in some of his writings and speeches, he has also made statements that have openly denigrated nonwhite cultures," writes Alan Feuer in the profile of McInnes published in the New York Times on Tuesday. Feuer cites one example: McInnes praised white men for bringing "roads and infrastructure" to India and Australia, claiming that the people who lived there first used those amenities as toilets and beds Right...."infiltrated" lol
  5. Jason Kessler, the primary organizer of the deadly 2017 Unite the Right Rally in Charlottesville, is a former Proud Boy. Several members attended the violent August 12, 2017 demonstration that ended in the death of counter-protestor Heather Heyer. Model citizens. We should all aspire to be like them.
  6. Sounds exactly like a trumper. Mass media corrupts everyone, everything that doesn't pan out the way I want is because of a conspiracy. Lol paranoid much? I know the stuff is legal here but I think you're overdoing it.
  7. https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/gavin-mcinnes-quits-proud-boys Canadian founder Gavin McInnes quits Proud Boys after FBI labels it an 'extremist group with ties to white nationalism' So I guess thats the fake broadcasting invention?
  8. OK so you don't want to believe them. How about the proud boys founder? https://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/video/proud-boys-founder-feels-responsible-controversial-behavior-59766444 Bribed by the media I guess? Give it a rest, they are scum.
  9. The Proud Boys is a far-right neo-fascist organization that admits only men as members and promotes and engages in political violence. It is based in the United States and has a presence in Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. But the media won't tell you that. I'll rather settle for no protection. Standing next to these guys I might as well paint a target on me
  10. Conservatives select a tool for leadership :P

      Disagree, he's decent.

  11. Thats just baloney. If they didn't take precautions and enforce rules things would be far worse than they are now. People need to understand that we cannot keep everyone in the hospital infected. Even if we had enough equipment and supplies the cost would be astronomical.
  12. They could in the case of severe violations but people have gotten the message. (sort of) I can't understand why people feel they need to have huge parties in the middle of this pandemic. If it was something at least understandable like a church sermon I could say yeah ok that's still wrong but not as bad, but parties are just gratuitous.

Pc leadership ballot opener malfunctions, ballots to be counted manually.

  14. https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.cheknews.ca/b-c-announces-fines-up-to-2000-to-curb-large-gatherings-694000/amp/ Could I have a source for that please.
  15. B.C. upped the amount you can be fined for breaking rules to $2,000. Not that big of a deal. During the spanish flu outbreak people in the u.s. were shot by police for non compliance. https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.express.co.uk/news/world/1269659/coronavirus-outbreak-spanish-flu-latest-death-toll-uk-news-update-pandemic-spt/amp

      Army Guy

You need a modern military for that, not F18 over 40 years old , frigates 40 years old, and 20, second hand Main battle tanks... we could not attack NB the day after Poggy check arrive and everyone is hung over...

  16. https://m.huffingtonpost.ca/amp/entry/june-retail-sales-statistics-canada_ca_5f3fe34bc5b6763e5dc28df3/ Things are looking up atm but it's difficult to say if it will last. If there is another outbreak that is large enough to force closures again we are going to be in for a rough ride.
  17. Its too risky for them. After last time with snc they only got a minority and tomorrow a new leader for pc will be elected. It would be disastrous for the liberals even with Freeland at the helm. The budget is a mess, they all know there's nothing to be done about that until next year at least, especially with schools reopening in two weeks.
  18. https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.theglobeandmail.com/amp/opinion/editorials/article-how-is-ottawa-going-to-pay-off-its-covid-19-debt-with-any-luck-it/ We can pay it off the same way we did in ww2. It will take a very long time to recover due to the slow restart of the economy but it will happen. Of course that does imply the need for inflation but as long as its kept at reasonable levels there really isn't an issue.
  19. https://www.fraserinstitute.org/article/lacking-constitutional-protection-governments-routinely-trample-property-rights Trudeau had pushed for property rights as justice minister in 1968, again as prime minister in 1969, and in 1980 during constitutional talks. But property rights never made it into the final 1982 Charter because Trudeau and Bill Bennett, then-Premier of British Columbia, were the lone advocates. The crown will never give up crown land since it only becomes more valuable over time and there are too many issues with native reservations. There are some instances where you can lease crown land but never really own it.
  20. Big Trudeau pushed FOR property rights but did not have enough support. In Canada you can have a tenure on land which is essentially a title from the queen. Most people in the u.s. do not own their land either. They have a deed but true ownership is in a land patent.
  21. Honestly it doesn't make much sense. When parliament resumes on the 23rd they'll restart the investigations and expose whatever was redacted. Unless Trudeau is resigning on the 23rd or they are just playing with the conservatives this is pointless.
