GOP Politicians Panicking
QuebecOverCanada replied to Aristides's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Incredible that you don't even have the semblance of knowledge to at least realize whose side the former president was when he initiated Operation Warp Speed. You are just drinking the propaganda Kool-Aid, like a zombie needs brain to survive, the idiot needs his fake news to comfort himself. -
But... but... You don't care! Even if you know the facts. Demon!
-
Hey, thank you for caring, Karen. Have a nice day.

No it's not true ok! They got the virus because some Trumpists who did not get the vaccine and do not wear masks crossed their path in a McDonald's in the outside parking lot, and breathed too much which created this super spreader variant called Delta plus 5G at $599/year, which Pfizer deems its vaccine efficiency at only 39,97423% right now. Also they were affected by online misinformation from conservatives, which infected them.

Lol.

Can we really trust mainstream media any more?
QuebecOverCanada replied to blackbird's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Never trust anyone by its word. Always doubt and be critical, even if it seems cynical but it isn't. Both political spectrums are absolutely retarded. You probably are retarded too, just like almost anyone, or at least very badly informed about subjects. But we're arrogant and think 'we know' better. Or we're else very interested in the subject matter which forces us to lie unconsciously to ourselves and everyone around us. Mainstream, independent, everyone has interests, bias, intellectual limitations. You can't base your opinion on blind trust in people, that's dumb. -
Is Canada becoming a Communist state?

39 pages for that... Loneliness and fake news, alongside censorship does really blur some minds. -
Is Canada becoming a Communist state?

Could we reach an agreement from both sides? Clearly the current government isn't outright communist. Clearly, the biggest threat to our society isn't white supremacy. -

Canada is quite woke. Giving grants to businesses based on the color of your skin based on some kinds of reparations is an example of a measure which I think is woke. -

What you're claiming or implying is troubling; like all right-wingers support white supremacy, or most of them do, and it contributes to the inflammation of words thrown around who do not hold the same value as say 5 years ago. Most polls show otherwise, violence is not supported in the mainstream population and History has shown last year the Left has been much more prone to use violence for their own gains in the past few years, and everywhere on the planet, and use the power of tech corporations to silence dissent as we can see in some what so called less democratic countries. The latter point is in my opinion the most violent thing all political sides confounded did. It will create animosity to silence speech on a side. Especially if you don't give valid reasons for said censorship. Censoring the news that the SARS-COV-2 virus might come from a Chinese Lab as a 'Conspiracy theory', and then uncensoring it when only Joe Biden and the Democrats now investigate on that idea is very dangerous. -
Is Canada becoming a Communist state?
QuebecOverCanada replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Years and years of inflaming partisanship and depicting all Left wing's alternatives as Nazis or Fascists contributed for this political climate. From Brexit to the last American election, it has been unhinged in the West as a whole, be it in Canada or not. It is true we're not heading towards communism, but sorry for my whataboutism which is warranted in that case, the academic and media of the Left, alongside censorship of the Right, created a much tension prone environment, an hysterical one even. -
Boris Johnson warned the English about a rough winter ahead, in June. Do you think these kinds of news, will hurt other countries vaccinations numbers seeing that our civil liberties are still going to be stampeded on by the State at the snap of their fingers? https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/health-chiefs-covid-winter-plan-24440330.amp?__twitter_impression=true

USA Election 2024
QuebecOverCanada replied to myata's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Incredible how authoritarian and demonic Donald Trump was. When there was a pandemic, he did not use his powers to impose restrictions on his population. He let riots happen in the streets for almost a year. Black & latino unemployment at all time lows. Gay rights activists were not targeted, and even funded more by the State. There were finally peace talks in the Middle East and in Korea. -
No, the glaciers melted above Canada up to Virginia before industrialization. For your second point, we don't have data to say what you're writing is true.
-
Cite me drastic climate change now please. 3 days of hot weather is not climate change. Just like a rough winter isn't a sign of a coming global cooling.
-
First link insists on this summer. Second link you can also make correlations between less pre burning management of forests and bigger fires just as well, but it is causation.
-
Drastic climate changes occur, naturally.
-
I stand by that fact. We had ice glaciers the height of skyscrapers on top of Canada all the way to Virginia. It melted without human industrialization.
-
First link: America 'may' have the worse drought this summer, an article predicting what could happen. Second link: Worse fires are due to ecological policies of not pre burning forests. You know, people read, right?
-
That's the difference between you and I. You speak in opinions and feels. It is your level of intellect. I speak in facts.
-
That's a very sound and scientific argument, just like saying an Ice Age never happened.
-
You should care if you were of good faith. It would mean you would care about the cause of climate change. Which is not driven by human industrialization. Climate has never been stable. And having a hot week is not an indication of a change in climate, too.
-
But it does get as hot as the hottest place in Canada, frequently. Do you know about standard deviation in statistics? An outlier is not a means, and outliers are not systematic -this is what an outlier is, Boges-, I have to remind you, since you took an average to say that no, it's not hot there.
-
Nobody contests that. So, how come Canada has so many lakes, if not massive glaciers on top of Canada melting over thousands of years of naturally occuring climate change? Do you have another explanation?
