  1. Wow, I didn't expect this at all. The Europeans predictions were... DEAD WRONG. The economy is actually on fire and overperforming, salaries especially for starters are increasing by record rates. https://www.reuters.com/world/uk/uk-starting-salaries-rise-by-record-amount-jobs-squeeze-tightens-rec-2021-08-06/

  2. If we start doing that for 'safety', what else will we censor and target as a society? What is to be going the next crackdown?
  3. What the actual... --- New Zealand announces it's locking down the entire country ... over one Covid case https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/17/asia/new-zealand-lockdown-one-case-intl-hnk/index.html
  4. Canadians are near extinction in your mind? You sleep well my friend?
  5. You truly believe that or were you conditionned by your echo bubble? Be honest and truthful with yourself man.
  6. Comparing it to Venezuela is exactly what I portrayed you doomsaying about.
  7. Here in 'socialist Québec' we don't get in debt for our education for example, because we have college that is very affordable. Maybe if the rest of Canada could increase their province taxes a bit like we do here for publicly funded programs, maybe the working class would get a bit more. You are right about the fact the working class are having it difficult, and it is hard to figure out what to do about the complex problems such as the lack of employment. But saying that because Liberals are elected the country will burst into flames or resemble Venezuela is totally hysterical. It is a corrupt party with lots of flaws. The leader is not bright and lacks diplomatic tact. He is taken very lightly internationally, and the public finances are not well managed. But it's not like we have a Maduro leading us. That's why Tories are laughed at right now by regular, unpolitical folks. You are a bunch of nuts who think the sky will fall on Canada because Justin Trudeau cried in a speech and wore Chewbacca socks. Get the f'ck over it.
  8. That made me laugh, because I think Alberta is now the net recipient of subsidies and publicly funded projects. Cope.
  9. Climate change is not a threat to Canada. It could be a blessing for us actually. Economically speaking, we're a first world country and I don't see any indications we're heading to thirld world status. Housing is getting expensive, but is not scarce. It's a bubble. Overpopulation..? We have the 2nd biggest country on Earth with tons of water. Can't you see we have it good?
  10. Once again, what is the impending doom you guys are always talking about? Debt? We've got through much worse in the 90s. Security? Immigration? Foreign invasion?
  11. That's a fair point. Bureaucracy could be minimalized by improving government processes/cutting some administrative work, get rid of the Governor General, get rid of half the Senate, hiring less for the State, but no one is talking about it. Even the 'lower the taxes' party, the CPC, doesn't talk about that issue. They resort to infantile tweets such as: Unfunny, unprofessional, lame and cringy.
  12. I don't support Trudeau, I'm hesitating between Conservatives and BQ... and I think History will tell Tories went crazy about the fact Trudeau won so many times and said doom was coming everytime he won. So dramatic, man. That's food for thoughts on our side.
  13. According to reliable projections on a proven model, Libs are at 36%, Tories 29%, NDP 19%. 170 seats needed for a majority, Libs are projected to win 173. https://338canada.com/
  14. Like a contributor from another forum said to me in French, Tories can be stupid enough to shoot themselves in the foot optically speaking, and get too gnarly against COVID restrictions and passports come election time.
  15. So, Trudeau majority or minority? Make your friendly bets on this, oh so close, election that is coming. (sarcasm, it's going to be a landslide for Trudeau)
  16. Father Trudeau had many acquaintances with the red regimes in the 1970s. Those who are flabbergasted by Justin's words on China in 2015, which are condemnable morally though, have to see our History into perspective. By the way, Justin said he admired the 'dictatorship' of China, not the fact the country was Communist. Rather than being an intellectual that could be dangerous, I see Justin as someone who is not that bright, and has no real ideology whatsoever. If they seriously think on this forum that we drifted toward communism since the 1970s, while we privatized our economy but also liberalized our society, they are seriously wrong.
  17. In 2020, all the media and social networks conspired to silence the story about Hunter's first lost laptop at the end of the run. Wall Street Journal details it; The Hunter Biden Laptop Is Real Our ‘newspapers of record’ become something else when they conspire to deny facts and hide truth. The problem isn’t Hunter Biden—it’s Joe—as major media outlets may be discovering, sort of, with the White House’s absurd intervention in the younger Mr. Biden’s latest career as a budding Van Gogh. In fact, the intervention smells like a scheme dreamed up by Hunter himself, designed to call attention to his connection to the president, advertise it and enable it, while pretending to do the opposite. For details, see a long account on the front page of Friday’s Washington Post. Under the plan, a New York gallery will keep secret the identities of those paying up to $500,000 for his novice pieces, but of course this wouldn’t stop the buyer from letting Hunter know who just bought his art or from turning up later as Hunter’s guest at a White House event. All of this is magnificently obvious on its own terms, but even more so in light of the ludicrously detailed, well-documented revelations from the Hunter Biden laptop published over the last nine months by the New York Post and Britain’s Daily Mail. https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-hunter-biden-laptop-is-real-11625868661
  18. This is his third one he loses. One is being examined by the FBI after being stolen by a federal agent, and two have been lost due to recklessness on his part. Many videos/photos of him are circulating right now, that are pretty damning, including also incriminating emails showing his father intervened for him to get his undisclosed $400K in 2014 for a couple of months on an advisory board of an Ukrainian gas company.
  19. The surprising support for the Russian pipeline from Joe Biden with no concessions shortly after elected, has created internal turmoil in America. NordStream2 has the green light from Washington. https://foreignpolicy.com/2021/07/26/biden-merkel-putin-nord-stream-2-gas-pipeline-germany-russia-ukraine-geopolitics-central-eastern-europe/
  20. Another laptop has been lost by Hunter Biden. This time, he claims he's been stolen by a Russian drug mob, while he had sex with prostitutes in Las Vegas. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9881213/Unearthed-video-shows-naked-Hunter-Biden-claiming-Russian-drug-dealers-stole-laptop.html This is the third one he has lost. In 2014, he did not disclose the astronomical $400K he received to advise an Ukrainian gas company, and is under investigation from the FBI. In 2021, he created a scandal for selling his paintings $500k each at times. He became a painter in 2016, for fun, according to the official narrative, that even CNN questions; Cillizza: How has the art world reacted to Hunter Biden the artist -- particularly given that he has no formal training as such? Smee: Mostly, a shoulder shrug. A few people probably sniff the chance to make money from his notoriety. But for the most part, people with influence in the art world are looking at his work and thinking, "Nothing much to see here." https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/17/politics/hunter-biden-art-sale/index.html What do you think are the ramifications of having such a mess in the background, for a President? Is Biden compromised?
  21. Yes and no. It was also built in between fights implicating different religious groups, and the imposition of Christianity to the masses. Spain was not made out of religious freedom at all, for instance, nor did Germany or France. It's more like a Magna Carta thing for anglo-saxon societies, and even then, English society was not really open until much later in Canada. For instance, Jews were only able to partake in higher education with the same rights as everyone until very much later after 1867.
  22. And you rely on sound facts, like panic, fearmongering, hatred and anxiety to base your opinions.
  23. I like how out of the two pages of arguments, you only pick and choose the obvious wrong one and not even mention another one at all.
