  1. enjoy your WEF Globalism on steroids in the Union of Woke Progressive People's Republics, although I suspect that Canadians won't actually be willing to give up their social welfare entitlements, in order to pay for their own defence therein,
  2. the F-35 is optimized for interdiction, that is destroying ground forces prior to them making contact, secondary role is air support of friendly ground forces in contact in a non stealth configuration, but air to air, it is not an superiority fighter, yes, the F-35 can execute high angle of attack manoeuvre, to defend itself air to air, but that would bleed off all its energy, leaving it vulnerable to secondary attacks, by all reports the F-35 is fast, but as soon as you pull hard into a turning fight, it slows down to a crawl, F-35 is for penetrating Integrated Air & Missile Defence Systems to strike ground targets, but it's not actually worth the price if all you are doing is air defence / air policing
  3. but if Canada is becoming an adversary of America ; strike is less of a requirement, since the whole purpose of F-35 is to join the Americans in bombing other countries, it's not like the F-35 is the right platform for the Defence of Canada, if all you are doing is defending Canadian airspace, the Eurofighter Typhoon is the better option; you don't need stealth in the defensive role
  4. none the less, the F-35 is totally dependant upon America for logistics ; maintenance, parts & software, if that was cut off, the fleet wouldn't become unusable overnight, but it wouldn't be long before most of the fleet was severely degraded / non serviceable
  5. nerdy kids don't attack simultaneously, nerdy kids are terrified to engage in any violence at all, hence how they are easily bullied, there is never any mass school rebellions against the bullies, that's not a realistic analogy in fact, what actually happens, is that the school rallies around the bully; bullying vicariously
  6. this would only be a 30 day ceasefire, which is hardly binding
  7. the Russians aren't agreeing to a ceasefire while the Ukrainians are holding territory in Kursk, if the Ukrainians are pulling out of Kursk as part of the deal ; maybe
  8. that is how it works with chimpanzees, the alpha is always taken down by an alliance of two challengers, but I've never witnessed the nerdy kids at school gang up on a kid who can fight, that never happens
  9. Rafale is closer to an F/A-18, optimized for multirole A2A the Rafale relies on high angle of attack, two circle pitch fight, Typhoon is closer to F-15, air superiority first, strike as an afterthought pulling 9g sustained in a one circle rate fight, Typhoon beats an F-16 Typhoon is also more NATO compatible; operated by Britain, Germany, Italy & Spain Typhoon can carry both Canada's existing inventory of AIM-120 AMRAAM as well as MBDA Meteor while Rafale can only carry the French MICA & MBDA Meteor early models of Typhoon have a Passive Electronically Scanned Radar on a mechanical repoistioner while the Rafale came with an RBE2 Active Electronically Scanned Radar, fully phased but the latest Typhoon's have the Euroradar CAPTOR AESA
  10. yeah, that's what India does as well ; never source all your kit from one vendor, in case you get sanctioned but by that strategy, Canada wouldn't cancel the F-35, rather you would operate more than one platform, two Squadrons with F-35 ; 410 Cougar, 416 Lynx two Squadrons with Eurofighter Typhoon ; 409 Nighthawk, 425 Alouette with the added advantage that F-35 is way better for strike, while Typhoon is way better air to air otherwise known as a High-Low Mix, same as HM RAF
  11. well what I learned in HM Royal Canadian Infantry Corps ; is to not worry about that which is beyond your control, don't anticipate contact, if it comes, just let the training take over then, in the meantime, keep calm and carry on, just another pilgrim on the road to Calvary Ducimus
  12. if you say so, I honestly don't worry about that which is beyond my control
  13. bad news for Canada then ; being no man's land in that war
  14. I would suggest that the threat is not invasion, but rather blockade how long could Canada last if America sealed the border and blockaded the Canadian maritime approaches ?
  15. I would suggest that the majority of Canadians are delirious in this way, yet the dynamic in play is called ; brinkmanship it's like a nuclear confrontation; you need to convince the adversary that you are fully prepared to go all the way ; mutually assured destruction it's a paradox ; burn the village to save the village, I would however suggest that the advantage that Canadians have in this fight ; is that Canadians are far more invested than Americans are, most Americans are not even aware that they have incited an existential conflict with Canada, tho that in of itself is an existential threat to Canada ; Americans have crossed a red line without even realizing, in the fog of war
  16. all these fantasies about Canada presenting an existential threat to America ; they amount to national suicide in of itself ; burning the village to save the village
  17. but attempting to acquire nuclear weapons from North Korea would be the justification for America to invade, even the Democrats would authorize it in that scenario
  18. Canada could in fact deliver them by truck bomb ; Nuclear Timothy McVeigh
  19. you just said that you want to buy thermonuclear weapons from North Korea to employ against America,
  20. there's no need for that, since Canada possesses plenty of plutonium from the CANDU reactors lithium detueride is easily fabricated in this day & age thermonuclear weapons are 1950s tech, assuming the Government of Canada had the resolve to do so, Canada could manufacture them in relatively short order, in fact, it would be far quicker & easier for Canada to produce nukes, as it would be for Canada to build a large conventional force
  21. I've been predicting this outcome for years now, I've said right here on this forum many times, that Canada was going to get frozen out, caught in no man's land between America & China I've said that there was going to be a massive backlash against Woke Progressive lunacy, resulting in widespread chaos to include civil disorder,
  22. all these Canadian lefties assume that the Laurentian Elite ruling class is going to fight the Americans for them, when in fact the ruling political class would sell Canadians down the river to save their own skins, there is an assumption that the Canadian military would fight the Americans on behalf of the Canadian left, I'm skeptical as to that as well, more likely the Canadian military would simply obey the orders of the political elites, the Liberals have already destroyed the Canadian economy & military, and nobody in government has ever revolted against it, quite the opposite; as no matter how crazy the orders that have been coming down from Ottawa, the Canadian military chain of command has simply saluted and obeyed those orders to the letter, not that I haven't known a few good officers over the years in the combat arms, but the reality is that the Canadian officer class are fundamentally careerist government apparatchiks, the CAF has been an armed civil service for decades now
  23. well it's not generally understood that the Vietcong did not succeed, there were three major offensives led by the Vietcong, including Tet 68', and they were all catastrophic failures then the CIA led Phoenix Program had essentially wiped the Vietcong out by 1972, it was only after American withdrawal and removal of air support, that the North Vietnamese Army was able to take South Vietnam by conventional force. but in the case of Canada, I've said that it is more relevant to look to a British civil war, which was Northern Ireland Canada is like a giant Ulster, already divided into factions, so the more realistic scenario is Canadian v. Canadian, essentially Republican v. Loyalist with America backing the Republican faction as Americans did in Northern Ireland, and frankly, that war ended in a stalemate, followed by negotiated settlement. considering the entrenched vested interests which control the Government of Canada, I don't think it's a given that the Government of Canada would resist in the event of invasion, much more likely that the Government of Canada would capitulate, then if there was an Anti-American insurgency, it would be Canadian troops who be ordered to conduct the COIN operations against the insurgents suffice to say, I wouldn't foresee a large American occupation force with boots on the ground America would more likely operate through proxies, supporting them with the NSA & CIA
  24. I didn't vote for him, the Democrats went woke and got broke,
