I guess now we know what Trudeau meant by post-national state and his admiration of China. By stripping constitutional rights away from individuals, we are being granted what government thinks we deserve based on their look-fors. The truckers are fighting to protect our constitutionally protected individual rights. Peckford knows this as well. Please note that this isn’t conspiracy nonsense. This is what Trudeau is trying to usher in as The Great Reset to solve all social ills in a kind of post-national utopia. Already our government can freeze your bank accounts. Trudeau is currently working against our Charter of Rights and Freedoms. This is an attack on Canadian sovereignty and the Constitution. It’s an assault on the Canadian people.

Yes this is all coming out now. I guess the question we have to ask about Freeland with regard to her role in the implementation of fascistic policies to put down dissent is, what else is she covering up? The business about Schwab bragging about infiltrating the Canadian government and the timing of imposing ever greater controls over the population is raising serious questions about a much bigger long-term agenda for the Liberal government. This government is highly, highly interventionist. Never in my life has a Canadian government worked so hard to assert its prescriptions for the citizens.

This new Chief sounds like he’s on a real power trip and says that protesters will be charged as criminals? What? That’s fascist police state speech. It’s actually a declaration of war on the constitution and Canadians.

Yes we’re seeing people’s characters now, the cowards and the cowed. I guess it’s times like these we have to ask ourselves, what’s it all for? What kind of a person do I want to be and what kind of world do I want to live in?

Yeah this is seriously horrifying stuff. I’d say the US should intervene but Biden might simply throw his support behind Trudeau’s dictatorship. I don’t know whether Canadians will be able to salvage democracy against a police state. Canadian democracy is in peril.

Actually there’s an exodus from much mainstream legacy media right now. Fascinating to hear on Real Time with Bill Maher that more Democrats are watching Fox News now than MSNBC. WTF? Massive shift underway culturally. It’s like suddenly people are realizing how restrictive leftist woke ideology is making life. The centre cannot hold in our cancel culture. Beri Weiss is calling cancelation almost a badge of honour. Wokeness is being rejected along with mandates and all forms of overreach. This is the libertarian moment. We’ve lived under de facto totalitarianism under the public health authorities and a technocracy of data reports from our digital surveillance systems. This is a movement against digital totalitarianism. Marshall McLuhan would’ve found these culture wars in the Information Age fascinating. Global theatre. However, the threats to our civil liberties are real. We really could go the way of China if we don’t demand the lifting of mandates and restrictive policies. Digital vaccine passports are the stuff of dystopias.

It was pretty sucky stuff. Yes the protests were probably a bit much for residents downtown in the capital for the most significant protests in Canadian history. It was messy but no one got hurt (except the protesters). The injunction worked. The blockades were being removed before the Emergencies Act. Ottawa residents are safe.
