Not all Canadians have those beliefs, or come from/have roots in the British Isles. It's foolish to think so. The native beliefs are strong and deep pertaining to the land and what it gives and takes away. It will provide for you or eat you. The organized religions of other worlds are window dressing for the old ones in most cases. I know.

The natives of the Great Plains have a connection to Mother Earth/Father Sky . . . this runs so much deeper than the missionaries stories of splitting water, riding unknown animals following stars, and a fish feeding many. Ireland & Northern Ireland religious beliefs are no different than any other war torn hellhole in the Middle East or anywhere for that matter.
