Blasphemy! You need help. What conversations involving public's business? Any conversations between MPs or officials and the public are private. There is no right to have cameras recording what are private conversations in the political world. Sounds more like Orwell's 1984 with Big Brother watching everyone. Everyone's home had a camera that monitored everyone. Perhaps that is what you will say next.

You don't understand the basic principles of democracy here. Cameras cannot be used between MPs and their constituents or Canadians. The right to private conversations about issues is a fundamental right.

The reason Canada is an easy target for authoritarian countries like China is because our system is completely open to the world and there are so many laws and practices that keep it open. China on the other hand is not open. Their system is an Orwellian system of absolute submission and control. It is an authoritarian country which is strictly and tyrannically and I might add, controlled by one party, the CCP's central committee and chairman. It is Chairman Mao's party which believes they are god and will not countenance any other god or competition. Did you know they have statues and pictures of Chairman Mao throughout the country? He is like a kind of prophet of Communism that must be obeyed and worshiped. But anything in the world that enhances their vision of authoritarianism in the world and control over everyone else is supported and approved of. They view open democratic systems with human rights and freedoms as a threat to their own system. That is why they can never really be trusted and at peace with the west, although I admit we must do everything we can to try to come to some sort of peaceful understanding and agreements. However, if they are infiltrating our countries institutions and increasing control, and attacking the west with a virus, that changes the whole picture. Perhaps we should be moving away from them, and reducing trade and all ties and influences. Welcome to the new world. From my experience here, I doubt eyeball reads more than one or two lines. I don't think he is here to learn anything, but I could be wrong. Just haven't seen much evidence. You may be wasting a lot of time and energy on answering him with a long post, but there is always hope.

Unfortunately science has a lot of conjectures and speculations that many claim as fact. Good example is the theory of evolution which has been debunked by a number of scientists and educated professionals. Still educational institutions still cling to it and teach it to school kids as if it is a scientific fact, when it is far from it. It is a now debunked theory by many. This has led many to believe in creation or intelligent design by a Creator. Some things just cannot be proven by the scientific method. It is not possible to re-enact things like evolution and nobody was around to observe it as according to the theory it happened over millions of years. In the case of the Covid virus, apparently no witnesses have come forward, as far as I know, to give credible proof of how it originated and was initially spread to humans. That doesn't mean it was not spread from a laboratory in Wuhan. It only means nobody has clear proof. It is pointless to debate over proof or hypothesis. There may be good reasons for suspecting it originated from a lab. So it seems rather nonsensical to post on here endlessly that there is no proof. Proof is not necessary to have suspicions about something. Lack of proof does not in any way end the subject. China has not cooperated in investigating it with other countries which also leads to suspicions that they know more about it than they are willing to admit. Maybe China has something to hide.

We are also witnessing attacks on government websites by foreign powers. This is the new frontier the west is facing. They are actually being attacked on many fronts: political, information technology, AI, communications technology, biological, and media. If it is a biological weapon, then of course, it would have to be done in complete secrecy. That is how unrestricted or unconventional warfare works. If the country or countries being attacked don't know or realize they are being deliberately attacked, this gives a huge advantage to the attacker. It is unlikely that it will ever be proven where this virus originated and why.

The fact that China (the CCP) was and is so secretive about where the Covid 19 virus came from is proof they have something to hide. Biological warfare must be done secretly or it loses it's effectiveness.

Do you work for the People's Liberation Army of the CCP? Deliberately starting a pandemic is a logical tool of unrestricted warfare against the west. Understanding that is called reason or logic. The power that uses it is going to be very careful to make sure they are not caught. Allowing it to become a "proven fact" would be against the whole strategy of unrestricted warfare. How can the countries who fall victim respond if they have no proof? They can't. The fact that many people do not believe it is deliberate is the goal of the state that uses such warfare methods. We are talking about news reports of sitting MPs possibly working for foreign powers. Why would you be saying there is nothing here folks? Maybe this is too difficult for you to understand. So why even comment.

If the CCP and People's Liberation Army believes in unrestricted warfare as described in the two PLA officer's book written about 25 years ago, then it is certainly is a possibility that the Covid 19 virus was part of that unrestricted warfare. They certainly have no qualms about using political interference and other tools to extend their control and influence in the west.

Socialism is stealing and is therefore evil to begin with. In the government socialized health care system, people are protected by powerful unions. Also, there is a benefit for the unions to having shortages of staff and services. It puts more pressure on the bureaucracy and government to keep bad employees. They can't afford to let anyone go. In a private system, people can be more easily given the boot if they don't produce. The employer should be able to let people go who are doing a poor job or who are lazy. They can't now with the powerful unions. Also, unions should not be given the power they have. In a private system, people should be rewarded for doing good work. This provides some incentive to deliver good services efficiently. Public systems often have huge bureaucracies that control things and it harder to get things done. If would be better to have a private system side by side the public system and take the pressure off the public system. People with money could afford to pay for some health insurance and pay a deductible when they receive some service. That would add much more money to the overall health care system which would improve the service for everyone.

That's an oversimplification and a poor example. Canada is over-burdened with bureaucracy, powerful health unions, and various levels of government that get involved. Plus I never said we need to follow the U.S. system. There are some very highly-rated systems in Europe.

So you don't know there is a difference between influence peddling and spying and working for a foreign power in positions of power in government.

This is also part of the reason the public health care system is a failure. It is run by bureaucracy, politicians, and unions which are all looking out for their own interests first. That's Socialism.

Quite true. One fact is that many seniors in many, if not all, seniors homes were not properly protected and a large number died. Yet, who and how many authorities who could have done something to prevent the disaster, have actually been held accountable for what happened? Even governments who have the power to do something appear to have failed to act in time to protect the seniors in these homes.

So far we have heard little to nothing. I don't think that law enforcement has even said they are investigating this. Perhaps there are national security reasons why we are not being told anything. Time will tell. The other question is do Canadian voters have a right to know who has been working for foreign powers so that we can vote with some knowledge? Because we live in a parliamentary democracy and must choose by election our MPs, it seems an absolute necessity that Canadians will have to be informed who was involved in this and what happened. This strikes me as fundamental to our democracy to know what is going on with the people we send to Parliament to govern us.

Remember Trudeau was sucked in completely by China and wanted to buy protective equipment from them, but they wouldn't deliver it and the deal fell through. This shows his naivety. Another embarrassment for Canada.

The NCR defense is being used very often now. It allows people who committed multiple murders or one murder to get off. They are sent to a mental institution and some board somewhere decides when they are fit to be allowed day pass or some kind of release on certain conditions. Psychiatrists are being used by the defense to make the case that the accused is not guilty by reason of insanity. They even claim temporary insanity at the time the murder was committed and can be declared NCR. This doesn't sound like justice. First off, psychiatry is a very questionable profession and there are differences of opinion about the theories behind it. But when psychiatrists are used in murder trials, then it becomes very difficult to deal with. People just take what they say as absolute truth. The common success of the NCR defence is also sending the wrong message to society. It could be adding to the number of murders by making potential murderers think they will get off anyway. I believe if they committed murder, there should be no NCR defence. Murder is murder. But NCR is often used and childhood upbringing, etc. etc. If they commit the crime, they should do the time. They already escape capital punishment since that was abolished long ago.
