  1. It is tragic. I just skimmed through the BC Green Party website and if they have their way, it looks like BC will be under a very heavy hand of environmental regulations, increasing carbon taxation, and elimination or blocking of pipelines, and liquid natural gas (LNG). It's a mystery where people think the huge amount of money and jobs are going to come from if they stifle industry in B.C. Companies and investment will simply go somewhere else in the world. It looks like the BC Green Party will hold the balance of power which means they can exercise influence and control of some government decisions far beyond the percentage of vote they received to hammer resource development and impose carbon taxes simply in exchange for them to keep the government in power. We may have another election sooner than we expect.
  2. I guess I should have made in clear Green leader Weaver is said to be a "climate change" scientist and as head of the BC Green party, we can assume he is an environmentalist who is a believer in man-made climate change. The name "Green" should tell us they exalt the environment, maybe at the expense of resource development and jobs.
  3. At the moment , 10:25PM, the election results are showing the B.C. Liberals leading in 42 seats, NDP 42 seats, and Green Party 3 seats. This is probably the closest election race in B.C. history. This will have Albertans on edge because the Trans Mountain Pipeline expansion to ship Alberta oil to Asian markets could be threatened if the NDP and Greens together form a majority, which is 44 seats. The NDP Alberta government, must be on pins and needles tonight because there are 100,000 people out of work in Alberta. Getting a lot of these people back to work may depend on the pipeline expansion so that Alberta can sell their oil to Asian markets. What we need is a strong Federal government who can show some leadership and get these pipelines built, including Energy East regardless whether provincial governments oppose them. Pipelines are a national enterprise, much like railways and require Federal leadership. This NDP/Green win does not bode well for the economy and jobs in B.C. The Green Party leader in B.C. is likely a strong believer in man-made climate change and believes more should be done on fighting climate change. It shouldn't be a surprise because isn't that the reason for a "Green" party. With the B.C. carbon tax the last eight years, I have already paid directly about $2100 in carbon taxes which is very discriminatory for several reasons. A small minority of people pay most of the carbon taxes in B.C. and almost nobody in the rest of the world even pay any carbon taxes. So people in B.C. may be hit with more costs for the climate change scam.
  4. The Islamization of the world and of Canada is directly connected with the duties of Citizenship of Canada. Those of us who are concerned about the Islamization of Canada see it as a duty to be concerned with immigration policies of Canada and this is a duty of citizenship.
  5. Exactly. I raised the issue of the Islamization of the world because this is directly to do with the Responsibilities of Citizenship, but Michael claimed I am drifting the topic. I think it is a responsibility of citizenship to support immigration policies which will not contribute to the Islamization of Canada. This is a central duty of citizenship.
  6. "Two Muslim politicians who won municipal elections in Belgium's capital, Brussels, on 14 October 2012, vowed to implement Islamic Shari'a law in Belgium. Redouane Ahrouch declared: "We are elected Islamicists, but above all we are Muslims… we embrace the Quran and the traditions of the prophet Muhammad. We believe Islam is a universal religion." He said that he will strive to make sure that the town councils' motions and solutions all emanate from Islam. He said that his ultimate goal was creating an Islamic state in Belgium based on Islamic Shari'a law." http://www.frontline.org.za/index.php?option=com_content&id=1556%3Athe-islamisation-of-europe-what-can-be-done-to-stop-and-reverse-it
  7. The Islamization of the world is progressing as demographics confirm. Belgium is one of the leaders. The actual percentage of Muslims in Belgium is 6% but in the city of Antwerp the Muslims make up for 25% of the population. Some schools are 40% Muslims. The traditional giant Christmas tree was not put up in the town square recently because a number of town councilors are Muslim and so some kind of lighted statue was put up instead. It is a matter of decades before Europe is taken over but it is coming. Quote With the low birth rate of Belgians, and extremely high abortion rates, the indigenous Belgian population is in steep decline. However, the Muslim community continues to grow through both high birth rates and marriage migration. Nearly 35% of the Moroccans and Turks in Belgium are below 18 years of age, as compared to 18% of Belgians. In Antwerp, Belgium's second largest city, 40% of elementary school children are Muslim. Unquote http://www.frontline.org.za/index.php?option=com_content&id=1556%3Athe-islamisation-of-europe-what-can-be-done-to-stop-and-reverse-it Canada also has a low Caucasian birth rate and high Caucasian abortion rate.
  8. Way back ions ago before creation, heaven had a very beautiful angel called Lucifer. He looked at himself and thought he was the equal of God and so rebelled against God and one third of the angels followed him. He and his followers were kicked out of heaven. They exist now on earth as Satan and the demons. Their day is prophesied to be coming in which they will be judged and thrown into the lake of fire forever. Not a very good way to go.
  9. The question is what is it that KIm actually wants?
  10. AT least when one starts talking about morality or the right and wrong of something such as the discussion about advocating violence, I have some basis to support my position. You have nothing but your own opinion and the same for others who argue one way or another who don't accept the Bible.
  11. The main message of the Bible is not morals contrary to what many people might assume, but it is the kiing, mediator, saviour, who offers salvation. However, morals are taught in the Bible. The Bible is a moral compass even though people who follow the Bible might not always be on the narrow road. However, all you have to do is look at the ideas many people have to see they have no direction. People often veer off on some direction contrary to even rational thinking. Take the idea of advocating violence for example. Who would think there are people who think that is perfectly ok. Obviously this far from biblical teaching. But without a moral standard, your opinion or mine or the guy next door is might be out of it on heroine is just as valid as anyone else's.
  12. Check the Religion and Politics section. I posted the Five Reasons why the Bible is inspired in a topic there a few days ago. Can't repeat it here. Honestly I think you should read the Five points and give it serious consideration.
  13. The upper part of her face was not covered. I could tell she was smiling.
  14. I don't think there are any Muslims in this town. At least I don't recall seeing any. Once when I was visiting Thunder Bay and going to the bank, I saw one covered from head to toe and her face was covered except her eyes. She was in the lineup for the teller as I was. She did smile. I thought she was friendly. When she smiled, it made a whole different impression on me. Makes one feel there is someone like myself, that maybe I could relate to, under that black covering. Sorry, I now realize I drifted from the topic which is terrorism and Liberal
  15. It was a brash statement for me to make without giving some evidence. The claim is actually based on what God says in the Bible. I said it partly to get your attention. I knew you would respond. It is in the book of Proverbs, written mostly by King Solomon, who was considered one of the wisest men in the world at the time. He wrote most of the book of Proverbs under the inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit. If you read the Proverbs you will understand that no ordinary mortal could have written it. For example, it says "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Proberbs ch1 vs7 ---King James Bible (1611)
  16. Depends what religion and what you mean by "nut case".
  17. Interesting. I wish I had the opportunity to sit down and talk with her. If you had been a Bible-believing christian you would have had something tremendous to offer her. It is not too late. You could become a Bible-believing christian right now and if you can see her, you will have something. I thought the hijab was not a requirement for a Muslim woman to wear. Isn't it more of a tradition or custom? The Quran falls far short of being a Bible or Holy Scripture. It does not meet the criteria for different reasons.
  18. Yes Canada is in poor condition. The secular-humanistic philosophy is rampant in Canada. This has led to confusion in many people's mind. If they are looking to the government for any kind of moral guidance, they are making a tragic mistake. The problem is many people are willing to look anywhere for guidance or wisdom except the one place they should be looking, which is the Bible. By dismissing the Bible, they commit their lives to confusion and many problems. I am not saying following the Bible will mean there are no problems. My experience is that christians often face daunting problems. But there are certain advantages to being a christian that the secular world or other religions cannot offer. There is no such thing is wisdom apart from the Bible.
  19. CBC television will have a documentary on Saudi Arabia on Sunday night at 10PM PDT.
  20. I don't see this as a gain or a good thing. Shows how unstable Kim Jung Un is. That's bad.
  21. Why not write to Trudeau and ask him why he doesn't force Qntario, Quebec, and the maritmes to buy their oil from Alberta instead of Saudi Arabia? I know. Might as well throw a letter in the garbage as write to Trudeau. It will get the same amount of attention.
  22. The U.S.'s relationship with other countries is a complex relationship which takes in many factors that experts working for the departments of foreign affairs and other departments determine.
  23. Who the west, mainly the U.S. deal with and sells military equipment to is determined by politics, military power, need for natural resources such as oil, alliances and geography. There would obviously be different types of associations and alliances. It is a complex situation and changes as circumstances change. Many factors have to be taken into consideration.
  24. From a little searching on the internet, it appears weekly church attendance is declining slightly in America. I seem to recall it has been declining in Europe and Canada as well, although I am not positive. I don't see any christian religious resurgence happening at the moment in America. I believe there is a slow but steady growth of Islam in Europe and America though due to immigration and birthrates. If you look at the Statistics on the internet, I think you will find the Caucasians are actually in decline in Europe and North America due to a birth rate below 2.1 per family, which is the minimum for sustaining an identifiable group. The decline of church attendance and the decline of the Caucasian birth rate in the west could indicate the disappearance of the Judeo-Christian culture and civilization as we know it in the not too distance future. Many will dismiss this as nonsense, but the demographics statistics seem to bear this out.
  25. According to apologists for Islam, anyone who is opposed to Islam or criticizes it is Islamophobic. So it depends who you are talking to whether you are Islamophobic or not. It is purely subjective opinion.
