I think I heard the Bloc does have some demands of the Liberal government as a condition of their support. So we will see what happens. The Conservatives are demanding that the deficit not be above 42 billion dollars. But I think the Liberals are planning to go way above that deficit. So I'm not sure how that can be settled. The Liberals have a number of items on their agenda that require billions of dollars more than the Cons will agree to. Carney needs to get his act together on making Canada an energy superpower, but I think that goes against his globalist climate change agenda. He doesn't seem to realize he is in a minority parliament position and should be willing to sit down with the opposition leader and negotiate something that will appeal to the Conservatives such as making Canada an energy superpower. That would require an oil pipeline to the BC northcoast. Also, Conservatives want to see some realistic plans to bring the cost of living under control and see real house construction happen. The only one in a position to approve that is Carney. But he seems unwilling to bend. I guess he would rather take a chance on another election, which seems kind of risky for the Liberals. Not a good strategy.

Ford stood up to Trump. He did the right thing. Carney sucks up. Not so good.
-
It is nonsensical to blame Ford. This is entirely due to Trump and his unpredictable, erratic behavior. Trump is looking for any excuse to keep the tariffs going because he is opposed to free trade and thinks it somehow is unfair to America to have free trade. We will see how long this lasts if he indeed halts talks. It may be just another one of his negotiating tactics. That's how he thinks.

"But the Metlakatla First Nation says in court documents that the decision relied on "speculative economic concepts" to justify the project's adverse impacts, while ignoring "mounting evidence" that it's not economically feasible." How could the parties involved in investing and building such a project not have an idea how much money they would be making once the project is completed? The Metlakatla FN's claim that it is "speculative economic concepts" and "not economically feasible" is complete nonsense. Of course the companies know what kind of money will be generated by the project. There is already an LNG terminal in Kitimat that ships LNG. So they obviously know how much LNG will be shipped and how much money will be coming in. The BC government also would have some idea of the kind of revenue they will get in taxes and royalties when the LNG begins flowing through the terminal. This is a huge revenue generator and the FNs who are opposing it don't really know what they are talking about or just making up a fake narrative. Their court case should be dismissed as frivolous.

The federal government has spent an avalanche of money on FNs since 2015, but the living standards on reserves has barely improved. Where is all this money going? There should be a deep investigation into this and determine exactly where every dollar has been going. This is not helping FNs or the taxpayers of Canada. " An Avalanche of Money: The Federal Government’s Policies Toward First Nations Since 2015, the federal government has significantly increased spending on Indigenous Peoples. The annual Indigenous budget has almost tripled from 2015 to 2025, growing (in nominal dollars) from roughly $11 billion to more than $32 billion. In addition, class actions have been settled without litigation, with estimated liabilities reaching $76 billion in 2023, while specific claims have been settled at a rate four times higher than by the previous government, leading to a significant transfer of land and money to First Nations. From 2016 to 2021, the gap in Statistics Canada’s Community Well-Being index, which measures the socio-economic well-being for communities across the county, between First Nations and other Canadian communities was reduced from 19 to 16 points. This reduction was due chiefly to an increase in reported income of First Nations people living on Indian reserves. Closer analysis shows that this increase in income was due mainly to the Canada Child Benefit (CCB), introduced in 2016. First Nations people benefit relatively more from this new program because they have lower incomes and more children than other Canadians. First Nations’ Own Source Revenue derived from business activities is increasing less rapidly than government transfers, making First Nations more financially dependent on the federal government. Simply increasing money transfers to First Nations does not necessarily produce improvements in measured well-being. Improvements in well-being can come from general policies, like the CCB, that are not targeted at First Nations." An Avalanche of Money: The Federal Government’s Policies Toward First Nations | Fraser Institute The federal government has been and is the one in the driver's seat. They are responsible. This should be closely investigated and action taken to correct the problems. This is also just another example of anything the government touches turns to dirt.

Two FNs bands are taking a huge proposed LNG project on the BC north coast to court. Same old story. Something needs to be done to end these repeated roadblocks to making Canada an independent energy superpower. Perhaps it could be just another attempt to grab a large chunk of wealth out of it. FNs bands and environmental groups who oppose industrial and resource development should never be able obstruct these projects. We need some laws to prevent this from repeatedly happening. This is bad for the economy, bad for jobs, and bad for all British Columbians. Many of us are tired of it. "B.C. First Nations make legal challenges to huge Ksi Lisims LNG project" " VANCOUVER — Two British Columbia First Nations are taking the federal government to court to quash a decision approving the Ksi Lisims floating natural-gas facility and marine export terminal. The Lax Kw'alaams Band and the Metlakatla First Nation filed separate judicial reviews in Federal Court earlier this month, alleging the Minister of Environment and Climate Change ignored their concerns about the adverse impacts of the massive LNG project. The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada announced last month that the minister had given the greenlight to the facility off the northwest coast of B.C. Federal Energy Minister Tim Hodgson hailed the decision -- just hours after B.C. issued an approval -- as an example of the federal government's "one project, one review" system in which it relied on the province for its assessment. But the Metlakatla First Nation says in court documents that the decision relied on "speculative economic concepts" to justify the project's adverse impacts, while ignoring "mounting evidence" that it's not economically feasible. The Lax Kw'alaams Band says in court documents that the project is to be located in its traditional territory, and threatens to displace its Aboriginal rights and title in "perpetuity." Both applications say the Metlakatla First Nation and the Lax Kw'alaams Band have outstanding Aboriginal title claims for the Mylor Peninsula in B.C. Supreme Court, where construction of a transmission line is needed to power the natural gas facility. The project to build two floating facilities off Pearse Island in northwest B.C. is huge, designed to process two-billion cubic feet of gas per day and export 12-million tonnes of LNG per year. In September, two other legal challenges were filed in British Columbia claiming that a pipeline to supply the project had not been "substantially started," contrary to a decision made by the provincial government back in June. The "substantially started" assessment meant that the environmental assessment certificate approving construction of the Prince Rupert Gas Transmission line, issued in 2014, remained valid. The project is being developed in partnership between the Nisga'a Nation, Rockies LNG Limited Partnership and Western LNG, although documents show the project's assets will be constructed, owned and operated by wholly owned subsidiaries of Western LNG, based in Houston, Texas. This report by The Canadian Press was first published Oct. 23, 2025" B.C. First Nations make legal challenges to huge Ksi Lisims LNG project

Wow! It should be obvious to anyone. You have a serious problem. Could be demonic influence of some kind. Everyone is under demonic influence of some kind. We are not perfect. All anyone has to do is look at tattoos on people and you should realize that it is not a proper thing on a person's body. Some are worse than others of course and some are very extensive while others only have a small amount. Tattoos in general do not honour God. The body belongs to God and should not be defaced. They devalue the human body that belongs to our Creator. Now I realize some people got tattoos before they became a Christian or before they learned that they were wrong, and so they are stuck with them unless they can have them removed. I have a relative like that. She is a very enthusiastic Christian now but she is stuck with some tattoos I guess. No, they are not something anybody should choose to get. That's all I can say about it for now.
-
No, he didn't specifically mention tattooing, but he did say the verse I quoted above. I don't believe tattoos glorify a person's body which belongs to God. It is not necessary to mention every possible thing on how a person's body could be misused. Paul makes that general statement which covers anything that defaces a person's body. He says we are to glorify God in our body, and in our spirit, which are God's.
-
That is an involved subject and there is a lot of confusion around it. Perhaps we could both do with some study on it. It is an important subject. I don't believe myself that the Old Testament laws are irrelevant to Christians. That is why we need to study the subject and what Paul said. There is much to learn in the Old Testament. It is important to understand how the O.T. law fits into a Christian's life. As for tattooing, the Apostle Paul says: "19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. " 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 KJV Tattooing one's body is not glorifying God with your body. It is defacing what belongs to God.

You live in an alternate reality. What dispossession, subjugation and oppression are you talking about. You love to make up nonsense. Natives receive huge benefits, services, including health care, roads, water, housing, education, and support from Canadians. You love to always be contrary don't you. It is time to put aside all this divisiveness and join society. Nobody can change the past.
-
Nonsense. I said treaties or the absence of treaties had nothing to do with her ruling. You need to go to the link and read the history of that piece of land. Sometimes it is impossible to negotiate. The fact is native bands claim the whole province and some have overlapping land claims. Native are only 5% of the population and we are living in the 21st century now with 4 million residents in B.C. B.C. is not going to give natives a huge chunk of B.C. or pay billions of dollars. We are not a money tree that can be milked endlessly. Natives have always received many services and benefits of non-native society and continue to do so. Most has been paid for my white man. The government has no mandate to negotiate away the province of B.C. Times have changed. The ancient history of pre-settlement is long gone and you need to study history and reality.

We have some very strange commenters on this forum. They have lost touch with reality. Past treaties had nothing to do with this particular judge making this bizarre ruling. The commenters in question are more likely motivated by their animosity to other people's comments on the forum. That seems to be a proven pattern. They automatically always take the opposite view and seldom contribute anything constructive. The article that I am Groot posted the link for explains the problem. It says in part: " In numerous cases involving aboriginal interests over the past several years, Canadian courts have weakened or abandoned what were always considered fundamental precepts of our legal system, often in a manner so damaging that it is impossible not to impute political motivations. These include granting quasi-citizenship rights to residents of foreign countries, creating areas in the country where the Constitution and its protection of individual rights do not apply, enabling nation-to-nation treaties with an undefined and amorphous collection of special pleaders, and recognizing spiritual and subjective claims as superseding provable physical reality. These shocking outcomes are the consequence of many choices and intermediate decisions by lower-court judges across Canada to favour the interests of Indigenous plaintiffs over the broader interests of Canadian society. And nowhere is this process more obvious and troubling than in the actions of B.C. Supreme Court Justice Barbara Young in the recent case of Cowichan Tribes v. Canada. Young’s judgement threatens to undermine the very concept of private property rights for all Canadians. If that isn’t revolutionary, what is?" "The Cowichan could, presumably, offer to relinquish their aboriginal title for $100 billion, or about $12 million (tax-free) per Cowichan band member. Regardless of the ultimate settlement, this ruling puts all property owners in Canada on notice: aboriginal title can now be retroactively asserted over any disputed piece of land." How Canada’s Courts Promote Indigenous Radicalism This has nothing to do with treaties having been signed or not signed in B.C. Any judge is free to make whatever ruling he/she makes. There was nothing that forced this judge to give a native band on Vancouver Island any rights over private land owned by over a hundred people in Richmond as well as other lands. The existence or non-existence of past treaties had nothing to do with that ruling. How some activist judge could be able to make such a ruling involving 100 billion dollars worth of private homes and other real estate is beyond belief. This country is in serious trouble.

"Tasha Kheiriddin: Cowichan decision exposes toxic 'colonizer' narratives" "This week, over 100 homeowners in Richmond, B.C., got a notice no one wants to receive: Mayor Malcolm Brodie warned that due to a recent court decision, the title to their homes may be worthless." Tasha Kheiriddin: Cowichan decision exposes toxic 'colonizer' narratives How could one judge make such a ruling that throws over 100 homeowners actual ownership of their homes and lands into question? I do not understand how any judge could make this kind of ruling and cause unnecessary pain and turmoil on so many people. It is beyond belief.

It doesn't help the people when the NDP/Liberals spend like maniacs and run Canada deep into debt. Now expected to approach 60 billion dollars. Interest must be paid on the debt by the taxpayers. That means less money available for all the services. Less money for services because we the taxpayers are forced to pay the interest on the debt. At some point the government will be forced to start cutting back on services to pay for interest on the debt and pay down the debt itself or we will never recover. All that means it is impossible to bring in new social programs like Pharmacare and increased spending on our failing health care system. All that has happened under the Liberal-NDP coalition is the cost of living has gone up, two million people depend on food banks, the cost of homes has gone through the roof, rent is out of sight, and the health care has got worse. The NDP would only make everything worse.

No. Watch the CBC House of Commons Question Period and you will see PP attacks the Liberals constantly for all kinds of issues especially the high cost of living for Canadians. He is right on. Maybe you have been listening to other party's comments or the liberal mainstream media's liberal propaganda.

Both the Conservatives and the Bloc are warning the government that they have certain demands for the Liberal's budget coming out in early November. If these demands are not met, there is a possibility that the budget would be defeated which means the government falls and an election must be held. This could be good news if the Conservatives win. The Conservatives may abandon the no more pipelines law, the tanker ban, and other things that are keeping Canada from building a pipeline to the BC north coast and from becoming an energy superpower. More pipelines could bring in billions of dollars to help fight the federal deficit and have more money for various government priorities. It could create thousands of jobs for Canadians. Carney is not willing to do it. Carney could save his government if he would agree to some central Conservative demands such as making Canada an energy superpower and keeping the deficit down, but I don't see any sign of it happening. Liberals 'worry' over potential election after Bloc, Conservative budget demands

No, it's not hatred. I try to warn people. You take warnings as hate, which is your biggest mistake. The Bible says clearly: "36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. " John 3:36 KJV "18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. " John 3:18 KJV There is only one religious belief that is true. That is the Bible. You are making a fatal mistake in condemning me as being hateful for trying to warn you and tell you what God says in the Bible. However, God can forgive you if you change your attitude.

Not sure how you figure that. The King James Bible says you are a fallen sinner on your way to hell. So all your babble about me being a hypocritical bible thumper only condemns yourself. It just proves you reject the truth. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? " Jeremiah 17:9 KJV "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; " Romans 3:23 KJV So you see you are a sinner. Since you mock and reject the Bible or anybody who preaches it, that leaves you dead in the water as a sinner. You have no hope. You are making your own choice and that is rejection of any salvation and forgiveness from God. Sadly you spend your life feeding that self destructive mode of thinking.

Bring back capital punishment with help from MAID.

Didn't answer the question in an understandable way. " In the King James Bible (KJV), the soul is often understood as the immaterial essence of a person, encompassing their mind, will, emotions, and life force. It is seen as the seat of personal identity and the vital principle that connects individuals with God and the spiritual realm. The spirit refers to the deeper connection with the Lord, often associated with faith and moral choices. Key verses that discuss these concepts include: 1 Thessalonians 5:23: "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." Matthew 10:28: "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Genesis 2:7: "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." These verses illustrate the distinction between the soul and spirit, emphasizing their roles in human existence and their relationship with God. " 5 Sources -
What! You are a sinner who totally rejects Biblical truth.
