Do you realize how much "fighting climate change the past ten 17 years has cost Canadians and the economy? Carbon taxes were started in B.C. in 2008. We in B.C. paid for this while the rest of the world paid none. I pointed out some of the costs above. For myself, I believe that God was merciful to me when I heard the gospel over the radio one evening about 45 years ago and believed it. It made complete sense. The best way to approach it is to read it in small parts regularly or daily. It is not difficult to understand. I would be happy to try to answer any questions you have. The Gospel of John in the New Testament is an excellent place to start. Just read one chapter. I will give an example of part of chapter 3 to show it is not too difficult to understand. Jesus was speaking to a man called Nicodemus, a Pharisee. He was explaining to Nicodemus what being born again means. He told him that no man can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. Nicodemus thought he was speaking about the earthly birth from a mother's womb. But Jesus told him He was speaking of being born of the Spirit. In other words He was speaking about a spiritual birth. None of it is "nonsense". It's sad that you don't actually read what I posted and do a little further study of the many verses I referred to in the Bible. Perhaps even read some summaries of what the Bible is all about. I don't think you really know anything much about it. I don't take what you say seriously on the subject because I have dealt with many people on this topic who don't seem to have much idea of the subject at all so they just dismiss it out of hand. It is sad really because where we spend eternity depends on it. I couldn't think of anything more important than that. It is tragic what is happening in places like Nigeria. However, I am sure God has it all covered in his plan. Christians are losing their lives in huge numbers there, but they are not the losers. The murderers there are on their way to hell for eternity. The Christians are going to heaven with their Lord for eternity. That is the bottom line. So who loses in the end? It is definitely not the Christians. They seem to add strange shaped symbols to the spelling which are not even a part of the alphabet. They do not meet any rules of grammar or pronunciation. So what is the reason for all these changes in place names? Perhaps it is all part of the pushback against the colonials for being here. Perhaps part of an effort to claim vast areas of land that never even occupied to begin with and demand endless compensation from non-natives for even being here.
