  1. You haven't read the book I mentioned. There are numerous documentaries on the rise of China. China and Russia are collaborating and the U.S. may be declining for many reasons according to this book. The Coming War on China - True Story Documentary Channel - Bing video The Rise Of China - BBC Click - Bing video
  2. I hope you are correct, but I wouldn't be so sure. Documentaries tell a different story. One said China will surpass the U.S. within 20 years. Don't forget that there are ties between Russia and China, which could make them a double threat to the west. Also read the book "Alliance of Evil" by LTC. Robert L. Maginnis. This details the new cold war between the Russia, China on the one hand and the United States on the other. China: Rise of an Asian giant | Insight | Full Episode - Bing video
  3. What colour is the Communist flag? Red or partly red. What is the colour of the Liberal Party of Canada? Red What is the flag from the old USSR (now Russia)? What is the flag of Communist China? What is the flag of North Korea? What is the flag of Angola? What is the flag of Cuba? Finally, what is the flag of Canada and is there any similarity to the Communist flags? Red symbolizes blood and the Communists have killed about 100 million people in the 20th century.
  4. You can be sure that China would never put up with this kind of nonsense. China is advancing rapidly and may become the strongest superpower in the world economically, militarily, technologically, and academically.
  5. I was talking about the actual system of Capitalism. You are forced to pay into a pension you don't want because that is Socialism, not Capitalism. Bringing in older immigrants under "reunification" is an extremely costly business for Canadians and the pension plan. How is it government can force Canadians who worked all their life to pay for pensions for all the old immigrants brought in from the third world?
  6. I don't really see where the pension plan is a ponzi scheme. Vast amounts of taxpayer money is invested to earn a return. That has nothing to do with corruption. The pensions, OAS and CPP, must be paid out to the pensioners and the more pensioners, the more money must be collected by incomes taxes. As the population ages, it costs the pension system more money and more working people must be brought into the system to pay for it. Hence, we have immigration. But the government had better be sure the immigrants they bring in are going to be working and paying income taxes. Otherwise it will be a drain on the system and just add more people who will collect pensions. There is also the medical system which takes a huge portion of government revenue to run. That too is now being stressed to the limit.
  7. I would agree with a lot of what you say. But I don't think Capitalism is the same as Socialism in the sense of personal freedom. Socialism deprives citizens of their freedom. Socialism steals from those that have something to give to everyone else or provide social programs for everyone. Capitalism does not steal from everyone. Capitalism is a free system in the sense everyone is free to start or run their own business with little government interference. Everyone is free to work or not work if they prefer. But there is an incentive to work in Capitalism because if you work you get paid and if you don't work, you don't get paid. You will have to live on whatever the social services system gives you or depend on charitable organizations to feed you and provide shelter if that is even possible. But Capitalism provides an incentive for those with some money to invest in it to develop industries and make a profit. In Socialism there is no incentive for investors because government controls everything and reject the profit motive. In Capitalism, people with expertise make decisions about what is profitable to invest in. In Socialism government bureaucrats decide which industries should exist under government control and how everything should be run. In the USSR, that is how things were run and there were tremendous shortage of essential products and supplies. I heard of a telephone system in one of their satellite countries where it was very hard to get parts for the telephone system because anything ordered had to go through a huge bureaucracy under central control. That is why the system became antiquated and far behind the western world. They likely had dial phones and antiquated equipment in their telephone exchanges while the west had advanced electronic exchanges and touch-tone phones. It would have been the same problems in every industry in the USSR, including hospitals and medical technology. They would have been years, if not decades, behind the west. China changed to a certain degree in the 1980s with a new leader of the CCP. They decided to allow private corporations in China and abroad, but under the ultimate control of the CCP. Personal freedoms do not exist, but corporations were permitted because they created wealth for the country and the government. So it became a sort of hybrid system of Capitalism-Communism.
  8. Part of the problem was created because Canadians in general are Socialists and expect government to provide for them from cradle to grave. Canada has an aging population and the number of seniors is growing rapidly. This means government must provide Old Age Security and CPP at an increasing rate. As more people retire, there are fewer taxpayers to pay for all these social programs including pensions for the old people. Since Canadians are reproducing fewer children, that leaves only one choice. Immigration. More and more immigrants will be required to start paying taxes so that Socialist Canada can continue to pay for all it's social programs and pensions for the old people. Canadians have got themselves into this by demanding more and more social programs from government. They continue to demand more. There is no end to it. Somebody has to pay for it. Who else if not the immigrants? Canadians will also gradually lose their freedoms because that is necessary to maintain and expand a Socialist state. Freedom and Socialism cannot co-exist. It simply will not work. Socialism requires control of everyone so the system will in theory function without breaks or diversions from building the Socialist utopia. So fundamental freedoms cannot exist forever within a Socialist utopia. Orwell wrote about this in his famous book "1984". In order for the Socialist system to grow and entrench itself, it is necessary to have everyone walk, work, speak, think and live in lock step so the state's objective of a utopia can be achieved. There are plenty of examples of freedom being eroded. The very existence of Human Rights Tribunals where people can be punished with heavy fines for exercising their freedom of speech if it offends someone is prime example.
  9. I just heard a report of a man in town who told his 90 year old father not to get vaccinated and now the father just recently died from Covid. The guy's mother is in hospital with Covid as well. This guy told his doctor about this and claimed he was not responsible for his father dying. The doctor told him he definitely is totally responsible and told him he is fired as a patient and he kicked him out of the office. Good for the doctor. This is criminal. The guy should be investigated for a possible criminal offence.
  10. I am a conservative, although not happy with the present CPC party, and I support all the health guidelines, vaccinations, and mandates to fight Covid. I think it is a serious threat to the world. It has already taken many lives. I don't think all Canadian conservatives oppose vaccinations, mandates, and the health guidelines. So it is wrong to generalize and accuse every conservative of being opposed to mandates and health guidelines. A small percentage do and they have given the majority a bad name. The opponents may come from other parties as well. Also many of those protesting against the mandates and health guidelines might not be supporters of any particular party. Many think their rights are being threatened although I disagree with them. They are still a small minority of Canadians. I think something like 80% of Canadians support the health measures. The U.S. is a different story. There are likely more conservatives in the U.S. who oppose mandates, although I think more are getting vaccinated as they see the writing on the wall. But the U.S. is not Canada and they have a different view of things. One should make it clear if they are talking about Canada or the U.S. because there is a big difference.
  11. I think we can thank PM Pierre Elliot Trudeau who in 1970 was one of the first western countries to establish full diplomatic relations with Communist China. Since then roots have been put down in both countries and China has become Canada's second largest trading partner. Now, Canada has joined three of the Five Eyes, the UK, the U.S., Australia and possibly another country to not send diplomats or politicians to the Beijing Olymplcs in February, in order to defend human rights. France and Italy won't join the boycott and plan to send diplomats. I am not surprised as I have read a good part of the book "Hidden Hand" that goes into extensive detail about how countries in Europe have been heavily influenced and brought into China's sphere of influence. The book is available on Amazon as a Kindle download for a few dollars. The influence on western politicians and former politicians and other influential figures in the west is extensive.
  12. If NASA or the space administration and industry had adopted affirmative action and hired people based on skin colour or gender, the U.S. would never have achieved all the success in space that they have achieved in the last 50 years. Affirmative action means choosing people for key jobs, based on race or gender or sexual orientation, rather than merit, education, experience, achievements, or skills. That would have left America in the dust in the space race. They probably would never have put a man on the moon, never landed and explored Mars with unmanned spacecraft, never sent the successful space ship to explore Saturn and it's moons, and countless other achievements that required the best minds in the world. The same situation applies to every achievement, technological advancement, medical discovery, and any other advancement mankind has made.
  13. One reason why there are a lot of rich people in China and Hong Kong is back in the 1980s, I believe, the CCP leader decided that they needed to loosen up a bit and allow corporations to grow in China and the rest of the world. That decision made a lot of people rich in the following years right up to today. The CCP still retain ultimate control over these corporations, but it has brought a lot of wealth to China and made them a superpower economically and militarily. But from what I read, the rich people in China know that their wealth is not safe in China because the party can decide to seize it at any time. So they prefer to invest it abroad and Canada is a safe place to invest it. Could also be a reason why there are 300,000 people living in Hong Kong who hold Canadian citizenship. The come to Canada, obtain citizenship and many move back to Hong Kong. China is Canada's second biggest trading partner, after the U.S. The economic ties are deep. This may be one reason why the Canadian government has been delaying a decision on banning Huawei 5G in Canada. Canada's security branch I believe is concerned about all these things, but does not have much power to do anything. It is really in the Liberal government's hands. The ties between Canada and China are deep. There are 140,000 Chinese students in Canada. It is a big money maker for educational institutes. 14. Shen Yun 2021-2022 is coming to Canada and U.S.A. in dozens of cities across America and cities in Canada, including Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver. A number of shows in Vancouver March. It is sold as the rebirth of 5000 years of culture in China before the Communist Revolution. Shen Yun 2021-22 in Canada This is a major extravaganza show. Tickets in Vancouver are listed at $138 to $440 depending on seating area. You can watch the trailer of the show at: Shen Yun Performing Arts Tickets | 26th March | Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, Canada It nowhere reflects Communist China as it is today and does not claim to. The west are open democracies and likely do not have the power to prevent such events, while China is a tightly controlled totalitarian state and can do whatever the party wants at the snap of fingers of the supreme leader. As Trudeau said when he praised them, they can "turn on a dime".
  15. We are going to be further propagandized by Shun Yen this spring, an extravagant entertainment show about China before the Communist revolution. They say it is China "before the Communist revolution" but still the whole thing is to sell China as a place we should be connected to. We are not all that dumbed down. They can propagandize on a large scale like that in various cities in Canada because Canada is an open western democracy. See how far the west would get if we went to China and put on shows like that about how great the west is. You think the CCP would allow that to happen? Not a chance.
  16. Empty homes or condos in Vancouver BC is a sign of foreign investment bought them just for investment. There are lots of empty condos in Vancouver owned by investors in China. Our governments have allowed foreigners to buy them up for decades and did nothing to stop it. Now Vancouver is the highest priced real estate in North America and one of the three highest in the world. Many liberals have close ties to China and a special affection for that place. We are going to be further propagandized by Shun Yen this spring, an extravant entertainment show about China before the Communist revolution. They say it is China "before the Communist revolution" but still the whole thing is to sell China as a place we should be connected to. We are not all that dumbed down. They can propagandize on a large scale like that in various cities in Canada because Canada is an open western democracy. 17. Common Michael, are you serious? Oil and gas are what drive the world and make life on earth possible for billions of people and the demand is increasing. There is nothing on earth that stands a chance of replacing oil and gas. Canada contributes a total of about 0.18 parts per million of human-produced CO2 to the atmosphere. The total CO2 in the atmosphere is 400 PPM, which is a miniscule atmospheric gas. Out of that nature provides 97% of the CO2 and mankind contributes 3%. Out of the 3% man contributes, Canada contributes 1.5% of human emissions. So tell me again why this is a climate emergency that mankind is causing? But I know you don't accept facts and will stick to your liberal dogmas.
  18. No, I think in B.C. it is crown land or some of it might be under a timber licence but much of it close to towns is not being used for anything. Just bushes while there is a huge shortage of homes for people. But the government is ignoring the people and making it impossible for the towns and cities to expand as the population grows. What does wanting the land to be available to the people as towns grow have to do with Communism. Now you're being nonsensical. Government interventionist policies is what is Marxism and there is plenty of it in Canada. That's what makes housing so unaffordable. That is why houses are 50% to double the prices of houses in the U.S. Government control is a form of Marxism. Another reason real estate prices are so high, particularly in Vancouver, BC, is because of foreign investment in real estate in Vancouver. Rich people in China particularly like Vancouver as a place to safely invest their money where it is out of reach of the government. There are even condos in Vancouver that are largely unoccupied because they are being used strictly as an investment to hold wealthy people's money. All this while Vancouver is the most expensive real estate market in North America and third in the world.
  19. I also think one of the big problems in Canada causing the housing shortage is the excessive amount of red tape and government intervention in the land around towns and cities. The land is either completely unavailable or it is exorbitantly expensive and in the control of land developers or logging companies. Can anyone explain why an acre or two out of town should be priced at hundreds of thousands of dollars when no development or money has been spent on it yet?
  20. It sounds like the court is taken over and controlled by the woke, cancel culture, cultural Marxist people. Tragic.
  21. Gradually growing Socialism is a monster that exists in Canada if you would open your eyes. There are many examples, but just a couple. A public health care system that is stretched to the brink with people needing heart or cancer surgery being put on hold and then they die waiting. Long waiting lists, long waiting periods to get an appointment. Not enough money being put into the system. Now in spite of hundreds of billions of dollars in debt, the liberals brought in ten dollar a day childcare. This support is only for women who go out and work and put their children in child care. Nothing equivalent for mothers who stay at home to raise their children in the traditional way. Liberals/Socialists don't believe in the traditional family and have little use for it. In effect, this is a Communist ideology where the Communists believe the state is better at raising people's children than the mother (or father). It allows the state to further their ideology of the state running everything and making everyone totally dependent on the state. Then you have the demand for Pharmacare for everyone, another Socialist scheme that would cost tens of billions of dollars. Don't forget about the Socialist-Communist legalizing the killing of people with medically-assisted dying, and giving it to people with mental conditions who are not fit to make any kind of rational decision. Doesn't this sound like Communism where they found a way to reduce population of mentally ill, handicapped people, and others and save the Socialist system money. Not to mention abortion of around 100,000 per year in Canada, which further reduces the costs of child care and social assistance for single women and married working women. Oh, we can't forget the public school curriculum of teaching children sexual orientation and gender identity. There are not just two genders; there are allegedly many and a child can choose his/her own preference. An eight or ten year old boy can be a girl or vice versa and the state has to provide drugs and later surgery to enable this madness. Of course we have the latest new law that outlaws a consenting LGBTQ person from even receiving counseling to change or leave the LGBTQ lifestyle. The state knows better than you or any individual. Is this your wished for vision coming true? It's not mine.
  22. Trudeau's perverse love for China may have cost Canadians billions for all we know. Trudeau tried to make a deal with China (Communist China if you can believe it) to provide Canadians with Covid vaccine and the deal fell through, which cost Canadians $250,000. Everything Trudeau does costs Canadians a fortune because he is the one who has the top control of the cheque book for taxpayer's money. To have a guy who has no concept of money in control of the purse strings is bizarre.
  23. There is actually so much more about what you said. A book could be written on why Trudeau is bad for Canada. Just one reason comes to mind: his love for all things progressive or radical social justice. When BLM marched in Canada (during the early stages of the pandemic when masking and social distancing should have been universal) Trudeau went out there and took a knee with them. BLM is known as a Marxist, anarchist organization and is a group that a PM should never have had anything to do with. But he seems to crave opportunities to support identity politics and cancel culture.
