  1. The election of the 3 Green MLAs and the NDP in BC was one of the worst things that portion of the voters did to BC. The majority of people in BC support the Kinder Morgan pipeline but we will all pay the price for the disastrous decisions of the Green - NDP coalition.
  2. The U.S. legal system allows illegals to cross the border and remain in the U.S. I believe it was allowed by the previous administrations because of international conventions, possibly connected with the U.N. on rights of refugees. Europe has had the same problems. To change that would probably cause a backlash from the UN and other countries. I am not sure why the U.S. does not do what Australia does. Perhaps the legal system in the U.S. would make it more difficult.
  3. The idea was to build a high wall with very sharp razors along the top to discourage and make it next to impossible to climb over. But they need to change the law to make it possible to deal with illegal border migrants right at the wall, question them, and immediately ship them back to Mexico. The trouble is the UN has taken over nation's sovereignty and made if very difficult to stop illegal migrants. There are countries in the UN who want to tear down borders and enable the billions of people to move wherever they wish.
  4. The reason why a physical border wall is necessary is because if one illegal migrant steps across the border, the U.S. is obligated to let the person stay while their application goes through the process and hearing which could take a long time. In the meantime, they may just disappear somewhere in the country and refuse to report to any hearings, knowing they will be ordered deported. The only way to stop a person from setting foot on American soil is a wall. The National Guard or border police cannot stop a person from stepping across the border and claiming refugee status. That is the way the laws are written apparently and cannot be changed possibly because of U.N. conventions which were signed onto by previous administrations.
  5. Better to believe the Holy Scripture. Read Luke ch17 vs 19-31. King James Bible. Jesus gave this account of a rich man in hell and Lazarus. It doesn't say it was a parable. It must be taken as fact.
  6. The thing to remember the Bible says all are sinners and worthy of damnation. Sure there are different kinds of sinners. Some hedonists, some adulterers, some crooked in their dealings with others, and some crooked politicians who will say anything to get elected. No use going through the list of possible sins. The fact is someone who not as bad a sinner as others still doesn't get into heaven according to the Bible unless he is born again. So non-believers in Christ will be in the company of all kinds of different sinners from the world's worst tyrants, the sexual sinners, the crime gangs, and all the down to the kid on the block whose sins might seem insignificant. It is foolish to compare one's self with somebody like Trump and think that will get one into heaven. It won't. Maybe one hasn't committed the same class of sins but that doesn't absolve one from all the other sins that people commit daily. That's why God sent his son into the world to save lost sinners, including someone like Trump. Who knows what he believes? It is foolish to judge. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 The worst mistake someone can make is to think he is not as bad as some other guy and think that this will be enough to get him into heaven.
  7. I think Trudeau killed the Northern Gateway Pipeline project because he believed it would offend the Spirit Bear in the Great Bear Rainforest. The pipeline would have gone through a small part of the so-called Great Bear Rainforest to reach Kitimat. But he killed it and said the Great Bear Rainforest was no place for a pipeline. Don't offend the Kermode Bear.
  8. Don't know if you ever watch those channels that show border security agents running around the U.S.-Mexican border trying to catch illegal migrants coming but it is a steady struggle. Also watch the cocaine manufacturing and underworld in Columbia and other places and how they ship it into America. Billions of dollars worth. The Americans use helicopters, ATVs, trucks, police on foot constantly struggling. One the illegals come in all they can do is arrest them and process them and let them go. They are supposed to appear in a future hearing. It is a hopeless situation because previous administrations laws allow border crossers to stay once they set foot on American soil. Similar to Canada. A wall might do a lot by making it physically impossible to get in. Without the wall there is no hope of stopping them from continuing to pour in. Also, a lot of these migrants are coming from central America and Africa, bad places. Lots of crime and bad dudes. Many of the ones who get into America head for Canada because they know our system is generous and possibly they will have a better chance of staying in Canada. If rejected by the refugee board at some distant time, they might just disappear into the woodwork and work under the table.
  9. I already explained why I thought Trump's base voted for him. The alternative was worse in their minds. Fro all we know Trump may have repented for his past sins and been forgiven. I don't know his personal beliefs. You can concentrate on those kinds of things if it will ease your conscience but I think his alleged past has nothing much to do with governing the country and the promises he made to build a wall and take action to make America great again. Saving unborn babies is like saving the Jews being sent to the holocaust. If you don't think that is important there isn't much I can say. If you think Trump's alleged groping is a more important consideration than saving America, we can't possibly agree on much. Hillary would not stop the illegal immigration and in fact probably bring in many more and not deport criminals. America is in a mess with drugs and crime and a lot from undocumented illegals. Obama was hurting the energy industry, blocking Keystone XL, and planning to spend billions on climate change. Hillary was no saint, neither was her husband. She wasn't kind to Clinton's women victims who came forward either. For that matter, nobody is perfect. The Bible says all are sinners and need to be born again. Politics is not made of saints; it has people of all types and kinds. Christians must support their country as well as anyone else and make what they see is the best choice from what there is available.
  10. You are mixing political decisions by government with what Jesus taught to individuals. Government has a responsibility to protect it's country and citizens. Protecting borders and controlling immigration is necessary to protect a nation. All countries do this in some way or another. Jesus did not go into politics of nations. He said his kingdom is not of this world. Communists and liberals love to take verses and try to use them to back up their Communist or liberal ideology of state control or immigration policy. But Jesus was no Communist and did not advocate how the Roman Empire should be run. Jesus said nothing about a border wall. A wall is a legitimate tool to keep illegal aliens and criminals out.
  11. "15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever." 1 John 2:15-17 King James Bible
  12. That's your own definition of things which is not correct. Everyone should be treated with respect regardless of what they do. Unfortunately Trudeau doesn't do that when he puts his own spin on who get funding for student summer jobs and stuffs his personal immigration views down everyone's throat. He goes on twitter and says any and all are welcome to come in to Canada and thousands answered his call to come in illegally, including many with criminal records or security risk who we can't get rid of now because their home countries won't take them back. But many in the left believe in open borders and that the world should be invited in. Pointless to get into the abortion debate now.
  13. Yes. Much like globalists and leftists vote to impose their ideology on everyone in the country.
  14. I think many people who like to use Trump to throw dirt at Christians fail to understand Trump's base's point of view. I think the reason why many evangelicals reportedly supported Trump is quite simple. Obviously they don't support the immoral things he may have said and done in his past. But they heard his promises and saw some merit in that. There were only two choices with any chance of winning, Clinton and Trump. Hillary being a vocal supporter of pro choice or pro abortion rights would automatically disqualify her there in the minds of those who believe in the sanctity of life of the unborn particularly. There have been millions of abortions in the U.S. in the last number of decades. Trump said in the campaign he would oppose abortion rights. Evangelicals also see Democrats and liberals as supporting an thinly veiled bigotry against Christianity in the U.S. Examples are the ACLU taking schools or government institutions to court for having prayer in public schools and or Bible readings. They also see pushing same-sex marriage and LGBT rights as a further assault on traditional family values. Trump opposes trans people in the Armed Forces. Democrats push all this stuff. Trump's promise to build a wall is a winning one because many right of centre voters see the large scale illegal immigration as a threat and want something done about it. The Democrats want to keep open borders and would not deport illegal aliens involved in crime. In fact they create sanctuary cities. Stopping the flow of middle eastern and African who might be a security risk or hostile to American culture is another issue the appeals to Trump's base. The fact is we live in a system where there is not much choice of who to vote for. So it is often a matter of choosing the least of evils. Many saw Trump as the least of evils. His promises and policies are what would make a difference, not his personal life in the past. Democrats want to focus on that because it diverts from the real issues and hides their own dark agenda. Trump seems to be making an effort to fulfil his promises, although he is hampered or slowed down by some of the elite establishment people.
  15. The drug problem is out of control. Liberals are incapable of dealing with it. It's not in their thinking to eliminate.
  16. ..I don't think you as a liberal have any idea of the problem or how to solve it. But the left/liberals are the same. This country is sunk on this issue along with many other issues.
  17. One concern about providing free heroine to addicts is the question about how long will this be done and how much will it cost? Will it $50, $100 or $200 a day and how much a year? Society could end up supporting thousands of addicts at a cost hundreds of millions of dollars (or billions?) for their lifetime. This could break the public health care system if it was excessive. There are many pressures on the health care system for various kinds of treatments.
  18. What provincial governments do is add increases for permits for all kinds of things in order to hide the taxes. Also, the provincial government has done things that have driven up the cost of electricity to one of the highest in north America. This is not called a tax either but is still the result of provincial government actions. They may also add carbon taxes, increasing the cost of gasoline and other things. If auto insurance is run by the province, they may also increase the cost of auto insurance. This is also not called a tax but ends up as an additional increasing cost. They also charge high monthly charges for people in old folks or care homes than Manitoba for example. They want to seem like they are charging the least amount of actual income taxes, but they can increase the cost of other services which amounts to a form of taxation. The idea is to fool the voter into thinking they are paying less taxes by disguising the taxes in costs for other services. If voters are too dumb to realize that on election day, what can one say? They get what they vote for. Politics is such a dishonest business.
  19. It wouldn't be the first time the Canadian government has acted as anti-Semites. They turned back a ship of Jewish refugees around 1939 that resulted in hundreds more Jews being exterminated in the death camps. The so-called two-state solution or Palestinian cause is a non-solution. These people are at this moment on their massive protests in the west bank. They will never be satisfied and hate Jews. Thinking that Palestinians will be placated and accept Israel is a very naïve way of thinking.
  20. Must have accidently hit some key. Oh I see the button on the bottom right I must have hit (insert other media).
  21. I have re-thought this one and am willing to give it a try. Someone said the drugs are not that expensive, which is good news. Only concern is that this might discourage some from quitting altogether. I hope they can find a way to use this system to also get people into treatment to quit completely. That's the best solution but might not work for everyone. It seems like society is plagued by one big problem after another. Insert other media.url
