  1. He isn't fixing anything. He's making it worse. While Trump is tariffing everything. He's not here to fix anything. He's here to finish Canada off.
  2. And ☝️ that's ☝️ why we have so much of 👇 this 👇.
  3. Canada has a hidden asylum-policy problem - The Globe and Mail The IRB developed a policy called “File Review,” which allowed asylum claims to be rapidly accepted in large numbers from a list of countries on the basis of the untested written application and documents in each file, and without refugees being questioned at a hearing. The policy appears to have been implemented unilaterally, without the approval of ministers or cabinet. For example, between January, 2019, and February, 2023, 24,599 asylum claimants were accepted without being asked a single question. More broadly, the IRB’s recognition rate for asylum claims has climbed to 80 per cent of claims decided on their merits, excluding files summarily closed where the claim was withdrawn or abandoned. In comparison, in 2024 Ireland accepted 30 per cent of claims on the merits, Sweden 40 per cent, and Germany 59 per cent. Research suggests that acceptance rates are a significant factor in asylum seekers’ choice of a destination country. it is worth noting that the number of new asylum claims in Canada has increased since the IRB began rapidly accepting claims. A backlog of 17,000 claims in 2016 has grown to nearly 300,000 in 2025. Policies such as File Review, intended to reduce the backlog, have not only failed to do so, but may have reinforced perceptions of speed, success, and reduced scrutiny, signaling to the world that Canada’s asylum system is easy.
  4. Oh. That must be why our resource sectors are all BOOMING and Canadians are so wealthy. 🙄
  5. I know. 😢 I saw this today, it's full of facts I've already verified: Mark Carney isn’t “diversifying” Canada’s trade to save the country from Trump’s tariffs—he’s architecting a giant new economic playground where his old Wall Street empire, Brookfield Asset Management, gets first dibs on the spoils. This EU-CPTPP “bridge” he’s hawking? It’s sold as a noble 1.5-billion-person rules-based bloc standing up to American bullying. Bullshit. It’s a supply-chain rerouting scheme that funnels critical minerals, green infrastructure, modular housing, renewables, and critical battery/EV-adjacent plays straight into the laps of the exact sectors Brookfield has been loading up on for years—while Carney sat in the chairman’s seat raking in performance fees and deferred millions. He parked most of his Brookfield holdings in a so-called “blind trust” when he became PM? Cute. That screen conveniently excludes 95% of Brookfield’s 2,000+ subsidiaries and affiliates. The same Brookfield that already pocketed wins on Westinghouse nuclear deals, green-energy grids, carbon-credit systems, and infrastructure funds that magically align with every Liberal priority Carney now rams through cabinet. Coincidence? Please. The timing is naked: Davos speech → immediate exploratory talks → Canada “championing” the linkage while food inflation hits 7.3%, restaurant prices spike 12%, and ordinary Canadians get crushed under the cost-of-living hammer he helped build. Meanwhile, he jets to China for “strategic partnerships,” opens doors to Chinese EVs, joins EU defense slush funds, and quietly sets up Brookfield-friendly procurement rules—all while lecturing the world about “great power rivalry” and “economic coercion.” This isn’t leadership. It’s a cash-out. A Davos-finance-bro-turned-PM using the highest office in the land as a launchpad to supercharge his carried-interest billions (estimates run $250M–$1B+ from green-transition plays alone) and lock in global supply chains that benefit his network far more than they ever will the average trucker in Regina or nurse in Halifax. Canadians aren’t getting a middle-power alliance. They’re getting sold out—again—by a guy who’s spent his career turning public policy into private windfalls. The “rules-based order” he preaches only applies until it hits his portfolio. If it walks like manipulation for profit, talks like manipulation for profit, and smells like manipulation for profit… it’s exactly what it looks like. Wake the hell up, Canada. This isn’t diversification. It’s divestment—of your sovereignty, your wallet, and your future—straight into Mark Carney’s Cayman-adjacent retirement fund.
  6. Announced today: The Carney government is opening up a new immigration pathway - they're going to fast-track "foreign military applicants". Some would say that disarming citizens while building a foreign military of people who won't think twice about firing on unarmed civilians, might turn out to be....problematic. Historians would point out that a foreign mercenary army is generally the last stage of empire. I wonder what the US will think when 150,000 Chinese come to bolster the Canadian military? (It does explain the recent sightings of Chinese with automatic weapons in northern Alberta.....)
  7. Well, well. Liberals are going to change their tactics again and pretend they AGREE with Alberta. https://x.com/junonewscom/status/2024201500348776850?s=20
  8. They didn't disavow their past direction. I found their platform very vague. "Energy superpower". What did that even mean? NOW we know that means they're going to continue shoveling money into batteries, in spite of the tens of billions we've lost from their last investments that all went belly-up. I wasn't a person who was pooping my pants because the Liberals kept saying the Americans were going to invade us. They didn't discuss immigration, that I heard. So I knew they weren't going to do anything about that. When asked about the drug crisis, Carney said there was no drug crisis in Canada. So I knew they weren't going to do anything about that, either. They expressly said all government jobs were safe, that if Conservatives got in, those jobs would be cut, but THEY would keep those jobs safe. So, no changes to our ballooning expensive bureaucracy. Their election campaign mostly was just firing up fear of Trump.
  9. I don't understand what you're saying here, sorry. You're saying Canadians will keep this Liberal government in even LONGER than they kept Trudeau? That's very disheartening. We don't have the time to diddle around with this bunch of id10ts anymore, just hoping that they eventually "get it".
  10. What I don't understand about the floor-crossers is that the platform of the Conservatives is diametrically opposite to the platform of the Liberals. Liberals want high taxes, high inflation, unsustainable immigration that strains housing, jobs and the economy, high crime because they believe in letting the most violent criminals go free, borrowing & borrowing & borrowing money, creating expensive bureaucracies so they can funnel taxpayer money into their own personal businesses, etc. Conservatives campaigned on the opposite of all of that. Those Conservatives elected who switch to the Liberal platform are a huge betrayal to their constituents. The platforms couldn't be more different. It's the whole reason why Carney had to lie and say he supported some "center" views.
  11. One problem with Liberal voters is they think Carney SAYING something, is the same thing as DOING it.
  12. Yes, it is true. He is just like the old Liberals - you just don't get it. THEY. DO. NOT. WANT. INDUSTRY. IN. CANADA. Like, NONE. He created a bunch of bureaucracies and hired his corporate cronies to run them at yearly salaries of almost $1 million. He just closed 7 agricultural research centers that farmers depend on. There are 72 projects, with investors still stuck in limbo. The Sisson project that was supposed to start in 2018......they just announced that it now won't start until 2029. "Speeds never before seen." 🙄 If the Conservatives ever get into power, I hope they remember how they defended it because I will put up with NO whining about it then.
  13. He lied. After getting elected he went right back to all the vapid stupidity. Carbon credits, carbon taxes, EV mandates, hired all his cronies at $600-700,000 per year, started a bunch of new bureaucracies that have accomplished nothing so far (there's still 72 real projects, with real investors, stuck in limbo), continued giving away billions of dollars to other countries, same old, same old. The center voters will soon realize they were duped. They thought they were getting Conservative platform with Liberal fancy socks. Hahahhaa, id10ts.
  14. Ya, that's what I thought. You have no reasons for why Alberta should continue to be part of this sh!tshow.
  15. It's not just our oil & gas and minerals sectors. Liberals want ZERO industry in Canada. Carney has just closed 7 agricultural research centers that deliver leading innovations to farmers. 650 jobs lost in agricultural research. But he's giving $19 Billion to his consultant cronies. $8 million for gender-sensitive rice in Viet Nam. $22 million for to empower women bean farmers in the Congo. Farmers are pi$$ed. This is a huge blow to the agricultural sector.
  16. Could be. But I think Jeneroux knew BEFORE he crossed the floor that it came with a new made-up special position that involved world travel for him and his family, unlimited expense account and ability to funnel taxpayer money into his personal businesses with no questions asked.
  17. Well, it doesn't matter to Liberal supporters what the platform is. Then, pretty much anything the government says is OK. Expect nothing and you're happy with crumbs.
  18. I've actually awoken quite a while ago to how Liberal voters vote. I suspected it had nothing to do with policy or platform, but I had no idea how much appearance has to do with it. It's so much easier when you don't care about platform or follow what's happening in actual committee meetings. then when the CBC says "The economy is great! We're doing better than we have before!" VOILA! there's both your talking point AND your proof - because the CBC is THE BIBLE. If you just ignore committee meeting, you miss out on things like Patty Hadju saying, "Ummmmm, what is Bill C-15 again, can someone remind me?" and Marc Miller saying "We don't NEED the power to exempt our friends from laws in Canada, we just think it would be a great thing to HAVE." or Sean Fraser being offended "We would NEVER use this power to lock up people for mean tweets." or Melanie Joly "This would not be for specific people." "But the legislation specifically says it would apply to 'individuals'". "Well it wouldn't." "But that's what it SAYS."
  19. This convo has been the most informative one yet as a glimpse into the Liberal mind and how they vote.
  20. Well, I know some things more than they do. Remember during the Liberal party leadership debate when none of them could answer what a cart of groceries costs? That was so hilarious. And remember when Carney said he doesn't know what strawberries cost because he doesn't buy his own groceries? I'm guessing your next argument will be that it's not important for them to know what things cost.
  21. Except nothing has been done about those things. And anyways, as you said - platform doesn't mean a thing. We should vote by APPEARANCE. I'm just unclear on what that's about...... It's socks, isn't it? I mean that's how we kept Trudeau for so long. The socks. And that worked out beautifully for Canada.
  22. You're right. We should just trust our overlords to know what's best for us. I mean, we're just peons who don't know anything and are so utterly stupid that we need handouts from the government just to be able to eat. What the hell do we know, amiright? It's always important to let the rich people decide what's best for us.
  23. Boy, all those stupid voters in Edmonton-Riverbend. They thought they were voting for the Conservative PLATFORM. I bet they never even looked at Jeneroux's socks or paid much attention to his haircut. That's what the real criteria is.
  24. Amazing. So, basically - policies and platforms mean nothing. If I like one guy's socks and don't like the dress the other lady wears, that's how I should be voting? Because I'm supposed to be voting for the PERSON and NOT the platform or the party. If I vote for the candidate who says "We need to bring down immigration. We need to stop government waste. " and they get voted in, they can just say to the constituents, "Bwaahhhahhaaha, fooled you all! I'm actually FOR all those things!" Honestly, I never, ever knew this. So, if candidates can just lie to voters about what their platform is and switch over after they're elected, again......what is the point of voting? I'm glad you're so knowledgeable about all this. Maybe you can help me out: since party platform doesn't mean anything, Which do you think it's better to vote for - a candidate's socks or a candidate's hairdo?
