  1. Do you really think the apologists would have gone along with Muslim children being taken away from Muslim parents? Chretien probably didn't want to be labelled a racist and an Islamophobe at the time. This is why the ones who screech about Islamophobia are the ones who are truly helping terrorists.
  2. Not at all. I'm saying THEY chose to not use our rules. None of them should be shielded from the consequences of that choice.
  3. Omar made his choice, as well. He did not come running out out of the compound saying, "Help Me! I'm a Canadian citizen being forced to do this and I want to go home!" He did not surrender when given multiple opportunities. As a terrorist, charged with making and planting IEDs to fight Western culture, he chose to make and plant them. Imagine if he had told the Americans "I was supposed to make and plant IEDs, but I just pretended to do it and made sure they were all inoperable." He didn't do that. To this day, he fully supports his family and the choices they made together.
  4. Having trouble with reading comprehension today, I see....let me help you: Have you read ANY of this entire thread? They used Canadian citizenship, Canadian healthcare and Canadian law ONLY when it benefits them and their terrorist agenda. That is pretty obvious. It certainly is obvious to most Canadians.
  5. It's not my crazy scenario. It's their's. And look at the mess. My point - was that THEY did not want anything to do with Canadian culture. THEY, as a family, decided that following jihadi Muslim death culture was what THEY wanted and prefered. THEY made the choice to spit on everything Canadian. But then THEY are caught red-handed, Oh my! Poor little jihadis!! NOW, of course, they want to follow Western culture. How freakin' convenient. NOW that they have used Canadian citizenship, Canadian healthcare and Canadian law against us, AND have never renounced their Al Quaeda allegiance and have 10 million dollars to invest in their favourite hobby of terrorism.......which culture and religion do you think THEY will think benefits them the most now? HINT: Not our's.
  6. According to his religion and his culture, which is the religion and culture that his entire family was following and is still following, he was NOT a child soldier. Their choice was to spit on and fight against Western culture, which yes, would have viewed him as a child soldier. But much the way they used Canadian citizenship and Canadian healthcare, they now want to claim "child soldier" status for him. It is a convenience to them. They waffle back and forth between the two opposing cultures, using one when it is to their benefit and using the other when they think that it will benefit them more. THIS. This is what infuriates Canadians.
  7. At least you finally admit that he is an enemy.
  8. He was a Canadian caught in a firefight in Afghanistan, fighting WITH Al Quaeda AGAINST Western forces. What do you think he was doing over there? Teaching the locals how to make daisy chains?
  9. This whole thing stinks like Karla Homolka's "Deal with the Devil".
  10. I found this article that sort of lays out some of the legalities that were struggled with in Khadr's case. http://www.macleans.ca/news/canada/the-secret-khadr-file/ This was Welner's testimony:
  11. Khadr, being a good little terrorist, was following the Al Quaeda Handbook: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2005/may/31/20050531-121655-7932r/ Notice that Khadr, upon capture, didn't immediately say, "Help me! I'm a Canadian citizen who was forced by my father to fight here and I want to go home!" No, he followed the manual.
  12. Seems pretty gleeful and excited to be part of the Al Quaeda team in the videos.

"Rights" should not be absolute. Especially when you piss on those very rights you demand. A citizen's "rights" should not include pissing on the values that give you those rights.

niqabs and burkas are portable female prisons forced on them by a domineering ultra-conservative male-ruled society where females have few rights.

"the law was designed to ensure "public safety, equality between men and women and a certain concept of living together in a society."....At least Belgium recognizes the burka's purpose for what it really is.  Not like bleeding hearts here who still think it's nothing but a "fashion statement" and  "choice".

  14. You would support the Canadian government revoking a Muslim family's citizenship? Sorry, but I really believe you'd be screaming Islamophobia and opining about how we had to keep them, just in case their children could be rehabilitated and how they have the religious right to raise their children any way they want. Well, that's what we did and look at the mess.
  15. It's been a clusterf*&^K from the beginning. I think no one knew how to handle a "Canadian" family turned terrorist, and going abroad to fight against Canada and its allies. If they had revoked their Canadian citizenship 20 years ago (when the family renounced it), you'd be arguing how unfair it was of them to do that and screaming Islamophobia.
  16. Because her husband was murdered by someone who was supposed to be their ally. Her husband signed up to fight terrorists, not be killed by a Canadian citizen on foreign soil.
  17. Common sense over emotions.
  18. It's not about "liking" Khadr. It's about Khadr pissing all over the rights he is now demanding.

  20. Potato/Potahto Canadian "citizens" who gleefully join the Taliban and fight for them as terrorists against Canadians and their allies, should not be considered Canadian citizens. My point is that Malala made a choice and so did Khadr. He choose poorly and should not be rewarded or shielded from the consequences of his choice.
  21. Doesn't anyone find it ironic/twisted that the world praises 15 year old Malala for her stand against the Taliban, but 15 year old Khadr JOINS them gleefully and Canada pays him 10 million dollars?
  22. I've read quite a few times now that this particular firefight was over 4 hours long and they were given multiple opportunities to surrender. Omar chose not to. Even after his father was killed. He still chose to lob a grenade rather than surrender.
  23. http://nationalpost.com/news/canada/the-khadr-family-a-timeline/wcm/d6ae9160-1cd4-41c2-8632-58bc24ff8e59 Seriously, is this the timeline of the average Canadian citizen? Or the average Mulsim extremist?
  24. This is the government's fault for not revoking their citizenship 20 years earlier. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/khadr/family/canada.html
  25. I think the problem is that we all DO understand the legalities of the situation. In this case, our laws were used against us. It's what Muslim extremists do. I'm pretty sure it's why the Khadrs are always smirking.
