  1. Once their belief system forces itself into influencing public policy and demands to be taught and mislabelled "science" in our schools, then it does cost us a lot. We have freedom of religion, but keep the faith out of the public square or it will be debated and exposed for the foolishness that it is. I don't go into anybody's Church, Temple, Synagogue, or Mosque and demand to be heard; keep the fairy tales where they belong.
  2. This scum bag was dismissed from his job at the Martin Correctional Institute in 2006, the official reason is "administrative termination (not involving misconduct).". He was also dismissed from the academy at Indian River State College in May 2007. He twice applied to become a law enforcement officer, passed the aptitude tests, but failed to get a position. We previously heard about his problems while working for G4S security as well. Even ignoring all the other signs we have heard about, is anyone concerned about the law enforcement and security industry that allowed him to get a special firearms permit not sharing any data that might have helped flag someone in a position of authority in this industry. G4S needs to be held accountable, as do the others. ** addition Just saw that gun store alerted police 4-5 weeks ago when he bought body armour and was speaking a foreign language. While nothing illegal there, it is just another red flag. Also let's not forget about the 2 FBI investigations. While I can understand any individual one being written off, this is beginning to appear to be gross incompetence on the part of law enforcement. Why are we spending billions and billions on homeland security?
  3. "leaner" means more muscle, less fat. Overall size could be smaller, the same, or even larger (depending on what "meaner" means).
  4. Go there and read what I wrote. I was not a jackass. I was polite and pointed out a different view. I was attacked, called many names that my mother would wash my mouth out with soap for, and the absolute worst I did was point out on about 3 occasions that I do not respond to people that make those sort of attacks, and never twice to the same person. After less than 2 weeks I was kicked out, and never bothered to return.
  5. There was not a lot of love for Netflix in Canada in recent weeks. I am also somewhat surprised by the SRG results, perhaps it has something to do with the demographic they interview Perhaps their on-line panel demographic is representative of people that are very on-line active (what percentage of that panel has been participating in the same panel for 10 years? If SRG is compensating them then it could be significant) and not the population in general. I think these semi-professional panels do have some relevance, but in some areas that cater directly to their demographic it may be very skewed.
  6. That is something that should be tested in court. Of course, at the same time we will have to charge everyone who prints and publishes the Bible. Leviticus 20:13 - If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.
  7. We should try. We do charge people for certain crimes the commit outside the country like having sex with someone underage, but not all crimes under the Criminal Code of Canada. If we can't today, it is at least worth changing the Criminal Code to allow us in the future. Someone should also be checking into his speeches inside of Canada.
  8. That is $70 per quarter. Smallc had the math right on this one. GST is 5% of $5600 or $280 which is equal to 4 quarters at $70.
  9. The problem with using a term like radical Islam is that what you really mean is radical but 30% of the population hears only Islam. Lets deal with the radicals. b.t.w. The Sydney Post just published a detailed article on the scum bag murderer.
  10. One interesting development is what did his employer (G4S security) know and when. One of their former employees (Daniel Gilroy) has been having many media interviews saying he had run-ins with the murderer* when he worked there and brought them to the attention of the company but they failed to act. Gilroy is claiming he quit because of the murderer. *Note, I try to not use the name of the murderer as I have no interest in contributing to his infamy. He is just a no-name scum bug.
  11. Do those agreements specify that we must have F-35's? In general terms I believe the NORAD agreement is about defence of North American airspace, and NATO commitments seem to boil down to spending these days (we used to talk about NATO commitment in relation to our forces deployed in Europe).
  12. Massive thread drift, saying "getting older teaches people" does not bring it back to the youth vote. I suggest you start a PC fascists thread so you can rant.
  13. Last time I checked the Ontario building code, the focus was on safety. They want proper clearances, carbon monoxide detector, etc. Newer homes required heat recovery ventilators and fresh air intake. There are municipal regulations that focus on emissions & efficiency, but that is generally only the larger municipalities. Insurance companies want WETT certification, but again that is mostly safety oriented.
  14. Military intervention in the middle east. If we (including US, Britain, etc.) did that, then there would never have been a problem to begin with.
  15. What an empowering message to counter the apathy Canadian youth have had about our electoral system.
  16. Yes, the common factor is hate. That is root of all these acts. Hate for religion, hate for something different, hate for the west, hate for different lifestyles, but most of all hate for ones lot in life.
  17. Where did you get that $400 million figure from? The "better man" who "pressed reset" and then completely failed to do anything?
  18. Apparently there was a week of "gay days" at Disney World at the time he was casing it. I don't know what that means, it's not like they can change the rides. It is probably more of a safe zone where others are more accepting, although as we see it may not be as much a subtle message for homophobes to stay away but can also attract homicidal maniacs. The point is however casing Disney World at the time was not out of character for homophobia. ... I agree with your last assessment, way too many factors to make a snap judgement. All the factors had some influence.
  19. Yes, Ezra Levant, the champion of free speech. Go to the comments section at the Rebel, and if you are not a salivating redneck with a foul mouth then you will be removed very quickly. In Ezra's world, free speech does not include asking questions in a respectful manner. For Ezra, you must follow his script and use language that your mother would not approve of.
  20. Lots more details out today on the murders lifestyle over the past several years. He certainly appears to have frequented gay bars and on-line chat rooms for a long time. Nobody has stepped up to say they were in a homosexual relationship with him, but that could be because they don't want that attention or he ensured they were among the victims. Due to the number of years involved, I think this was more than just scoping out his massacre. It certainly doesn't look like his father would ever be accepting of his sexual orientation, I don't know if his current statements are because he was unaware or because he wants to hide his knowledge. It sounds like his (current) wife had some level of knowledge of his plans. While she has yet to be charged, I suspect the police are trying to collect more evidence and she will be one the next few weeks.
  21. Time to bring back the landlords and robber barons, it appears we have lots of volunteers; the serfs await your command.
  22. So forgo any evaluation and just let others dictate what we buy?
  23. So you want to steal food from children and limited income pensioners who built this country that you benefit from?
  24. Before I went out for an evening of protesting, I first asked where being crass, vulgar and obtuse would fit in.
  25. So you are essentially saying the the ancient scriptures are open to interpretation.... except of course the Qu'ran.
