  1. Despite the millions Stephen Harper spent trying to do just that with his "good hair" messaging.
  2. Yes, but it is also condemning those that commit sexual sin. Basically he is saying that those who are unworthy (non-believer?) are worse than homosexuals. That would be like saying "a murderer is worse than a rapist". You are not saying that a rapist is good or acceptable, just that a murderer is worse. If I said "a murderer is worse than a florist" would it have the same meaning?
  3. Pick your poison: Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. - Matthew 10:15 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. - Leviticus 20:13 We also sent Lut : He said to his people : "Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you? For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds. - Qur'an 7:80-81
  4. Actually the only Quebec Prime Minister that had strong support within Quebec was Brian Mulroney. While Trudeau got the highest support of all parties in Quebec, it was still lower than the support he received in the rest of Canada.
  5. Yes, I saw that on the news last night. It does open up more questions. 1. Could he just be "casing the joint", making his plans and getting up his "courage" to do his despicable acts? - One report I heard was that he was asking around for the "gay club" just before the shooting. If he had been in there for months, why would he need to know that, unless he was just trying to set the stage for his "legacy". 2. His father said he became upset when he saw two men kissing in public a while back. How does that date relate to when he started visiting the club? - Could it be just prior to when he started visiting the club? - Could it be that he thought he would be recognized by the gays, and his lifestyle exposed to his father? 3. While he had been seen in the club on previous occasions, has anyone come forward saying he participated in a gay lifestyle. Does he have any boyfriends/lovers/one night stands? If so, did he kill all of them? Perhaps he made plans with them to meet them there that night, his phone records, email, and other electronic communications might provide some insight.
  6. Maybe the US should give Canada tens of billions in aid to buy your jets and prop up your military industrial complex, like you do for Israel.
  7. Yes Canadians take forever to make up their mind. Americans on the other hand order 3000, and then cut it back to 150 at a later date.
  8. A mass murder is a mass murder, the number of kills is secondary. They all set out to create as much damage as they can, this guy just happened to murder more. They are all equally low life scum.
  9. Great, we have a proposal. Could you share it with the rest of us?
  10. Which gets us back to putting the cart before the horse. We need to have a requirements definition, not a who has the shiny toy argument. Is the Silent Eagle a product yet, I thought it was just a concept. We also don't know what Boeing is pitching, lots of assuming going on in the peanut gallery (ref my earlier note that the meetings with the government that stirred up this latest batch of rhetoric could have been on any number of subjects).
  11. F-15 was eliminated due to it's high purchase price.
  12. Valid point, which gets back to what are the requirements and not who has the shiny toy. It is not up to the manufacturer to set the requirements, it is up to DND. I was just pointing out the |Boeing response to the F-35 would best be the SuperHornet. Is that because of best match, or availability of aircraft in theater?
  13. The F-15 is an air superiority vehicle, the Super Hornet like the F-35 is a ground attack aircraft.
  14. Baseball coaches regularly go out into the field, in most other sports the coaches stay at the bench unless there is an injury. Perhaps it is the football bench being exposed to the elements that causes some to forgo the suit&tie. Don't forget about track & field, aquatics, etc.
  15. Certainly a far cheaper solution to operate, but what about shoulder fired missiles like the Strela-3?
  16. All the meetings? You mean: February 16 - Cyrus Reporter, Senior Advisor PMO March 8 - Stephen Fuhr, MP, Chair Standing committee on National Defence April 6 - Cyrus Reporter, Senior Advisor PMO April 18 - Patrick Travers, Policy Advisor PMO - Christina Rettig, Senior Policy Advisor PMO Excuse me while I giggle at the absurdity of a sole source contract being negotiated by 3 underlings in the PMO and one MP over the course of 4 meetings for a multi-billion dollar project. I guess if all you ever sold was pencil erasers, then that might be in the world of plausibility for you but for the real world that just doesn't happen. I doubt the Super Hornet was much more than a sidebar, if it was even mentioned. More than likely the main topic of conversation was the upgrade to the CF-18s, you know the one that Harper promised but never delivered on. Perhaps they also talked about the C-17s that Harper sole sourced, and how they were working out.
  17. Exactly my point, all we have is rumours. It is you that seems to think that a rumour is fact when it fits your narrative. I am simply pointing out that it is a rumour - period!
  18. So you are perfectly fine with a right wing extremist being the governor of the second largest state?
  19. He did command the tarmac at Tuktoyaktuk airport with his ATV, dem Ruskies certainly weren't going to mess with him.
  20. Nobody elected Matthew Fisher, his article is full of complete falsehoods. 1. The only sole source was the announcement by Harper in 2010 (following on to his other sole source C-17 and C-103J contracts). All we have now is some rumours spread by Fisher and the National Post. 2. The F-35 is not stealthy, he doesn't have a clue. It can be seen on radar, and once you put more than a couple of bombs on it or a fuel tank to take it more than a few miles, it will light up on all displays. The SuperHornet can operate in the same parameters as the F-35 when you put the weapons in an undercarriage pod. 3. The F-35 is not a first strike aircraft, the F-22 is. There is a world of difference between these two aircrafts. The F-35 goes in after, to strike land targets.
  21. On September 22, 2000, Ronald Gay opened fire on Backstreet Cafe, a gay bar in Roanoke, Virginia, killing Danny Overstreet, 43, and severely injuring six others. Gay was angry that his last name could mean “homosexual” and said God had told him to kill gay people. He called himself a “Christian Soldier working for my Lord” and testified in court that he wished he could have “killed more fags.” If the Pulse nightclub is about Islam, then the Backstreet Cafe is about Christianity. They are both equally vile.
  22. At $2 million a pop it should have. Point taken however, it is the entire package and not just the plane itself that will determine outcome. Armament, intelligence, pilot, etc. all play a significant factor in a battle.
  23. With both the MiG-29 and Sukhoi Su-27 (Su-30 also, but it is essentially a derivative of the Su-27). The American F-22 is superior to them in air-air combat, but the F-35 is not.
  24. It appears that Microsoft will be buying LinkedIn. How are they going to use the data they acquire for competitive advantage? While the obvious access to a half a billion potential customer names is fine, it will also give them great insight into the organizational structure of their customers and competitors. While many sales professionals and organizations invest months and years getting to know each customer, Microsoft now will have intelligence on almost every major customer on the planet. Will this distort the playing field and give them and their partners a huge opportunity to capture business?
  25. Why? Because "fifth generation"? You have swallowed the marketing BS. The F-35 is not an interceptor aircraft, that has been proven time and time again. It is a ground attack aircraft.
