State Of The Union & Obama's Credibility
Shady replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Actually, it's quite simple. If one doesn't want to be criticized as unpatriotic, don't act like it. They've earned their 'blame America first' status themselves, through hard, tough, wreckless anti-Americanism. You reap what you sow. -
Troll alert.

Wow, this thread is lousy with Palin Derangement Syndrome. I'll throw out a few more quotes to the anti-religion Palin haters. "Faith, is what propels me to do what I do and when I am down it’s what lifts me up.” "God is with us and He wants us to do the right thing,” "When people work together, there is nothing that can stop us because that’s God’s intention." "I cast about after college to see how I could participate in building God’s kingdom." "Through that interaction with the church I accepted Jesus Christ in my life." “Pray that I can be an instrument of God,” All quotes from President-elect, Barack Obama. Obvious religious kook!

The Death Of American Socialism.
Shady replied to Oleg Bach's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
God I hope you're right. The UAW has absolutely destroyed the auto industry, which has basically been turned into health care and retirement providers who happen to build cars on the side. Their operating costs are much higher than Toyota, Honda, etc thanks to demands which have led to General Motors being the largest buyer of Viagra in America. Looks like their chickens are coming home to roost. -
Obama + Bernanke = Inflation
Shady replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Exactly. Short-term pain, for long-term gain. -
After Obama's long and successful doom and gloom Presidential campaign, where he was nice enough to describe to everyone, the litany of what's wrong with America, how will he tackle his upcoming SOTU speech to congress? How will he profess that the state of the union is strong? Will he be able to keep a straight face? And will those watching and listening believe him? After watching the 30 minute Obama infomercial, which can only be described as 'soup-line America', I'm very interested as to how he's going to pivot so quickly, while still holding on to his credibility.

Obama + Bernanke = Inflation
Shady replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
True, but Obama's insistance of another stimiulus package will only contribute to even higher inflation. -
The "typical" McCain voter?
Shady replied to JerrySeinfeld's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
That was truely disgusting, but not suprising. Afterall, these are the same type of people who printed up c*nt t-shirts after Sarah Palin was picked as McCain's VP. Change you can believe in, and a new kind of politics my ass. -
Next President: Barack Obama
Shady replied to Mortui's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Come on, we all know it's the most merciful, Lord Barack Obama, the Messiah, who walks on water. And I don't think Sarah Palin will be the next President. Possibly the next Vice President, on an actual conservative ticket. But more likely, Alaska's governor for the next several years, or their next senator. -
Next President: Barack Obama
Shady replied to Mortui's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Exactly. And we shouldn't underestimate the power of white guilt either. Ol' Barry had many things working in his favour. -
Next President: Barack Obama
Shady replied to Mortui's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Really? What "race card factor" did you hear out of the McCain camp? I know I heard Obama telling us how he doesn't "look like all the other President's on the dollar bills" an awful lot. -
This is what Senator Teleprompter sounds like free-stylin. Correction, President-elect Teleprompter. It's not a pretty sight!

U.S. Stocks Post Biggest Post-Election Drop
Shady replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Exactly. According to some of the polls, Obama was up as much as 15 points. And once again, Republican support was underestimated by the mainstream pollsters. -
No candidate mentioned God more than Barack Obama. Now all of sudden his supporters in this forum have the vapors over something mentioned in church by Sarah Palin. Your pseudo-outrage is unbecoming.

Yeah, he's (Oleg) the one that's bitter. Drea, God bless you. You're always a great source of humour and hypocrisy!

Emanuel Was Director Of Freddie Mac During Scandal
Shady replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Exactly. It's gonna be a fun few years. I can't wait for January 20th, when I can start asking, where's Bin Laden? -
Emanuel Was Director Of Freddie Mac During Scandal
Shady replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Stop hijacking the thread. It's not about Dick Cheney. It's about Rahm Emanuel and Freddie Mac, and of course Barack Obama. -
Nope. The best place for her to stay is Governor of Alaska. It's the best situation to build up political experience. For the most part, Governor's are elected President. Or, she could always run for senate. She'd destroy any Democrat foolish to run against her in Alaska. Then we could all say Senator Sarah Palin. That has a nice ring to it too. However, I like Governor better.
-
Please tell me that's satire. If not, you need some serious help.
-
Not true. Read your history. Anyways, think John Edwards, who was picked as VP by Kerry, but lost. He didn't go away, he spent the next several years preparing for his own Presidential run. That's the position Sarah Palin is in, except that she's 1000 times more popular and 1000 times more qualified than an ambulance chasing trial lawyer. You Palin haters may hope she goes away, but she ain't.
-
I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I was simply stating that Reagan and Nixon lost their initial runs for President. Even Joe Biden ran for President 20 years ago, and ran again, and is now the VP-elect. Please post sober. Thanks.

Emanuel Was Director Of Freddie Mac During Scandal President-elect Barack Obama's newly appointed chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, served on the board of directors of the federal mortgage firm Freddie Mac at a time when scandal was brewing at the troubled agency and the board failed to spot "red flags," according to government reports reviewed by ABCNews.com. ABC News And so begins the Obama decline, much sooner than I thought. The bloom will be off the rose before he's sworn in.

History says otherwise. See Reagan, Nixon, etc. Anyways guys, the election is over. Save your Palin hate for another few years.

I see, so by several months, you actually meant one month.
