Provincial legislatures also closed for the summer. Who is he going to deal with? Why the rush for a trade deal?

He’s going to deal with the United States. The same way the UK, EU, Japan, etc have. Rush? He’s gone past his own deadlines twice now. The longer it takes, the longer Canadian businesses are subjected to higher tariffs than countries we’re competing with. Didn’t he say this was an existential threat? Or was that just more talk to get elected?

So what? No deal is better than a bad deal Canadian businesses would be saddled with for years.
