Why does it matter? Because you say do? So you’re against saving lives and saving health care resources and preventing chronic health conditions because they’re not transmissible?

The key point you're missing is that everyone is going to die of something. It'll be cancer or heart disease or a stroke or a virus. Or something else like catastrophic trauma.
Back before vaccines and chemo and cholesterol medication people didn't usually live past 70.
No matter how healthy you are, your end-of-life costs to the government are probably going to be high. An argument could be made that a fat person who doesn't make it to 65 costs the "system" much less than someone who makes it to 90 because they're healthy.
That doesn't mean we shouldn't promote healthy lifestyles and a good diet. But ironically its capitalism that's the biggest culprit. Whether it be making the unhealthy shelf stable food cheaper or not making healthy food available to the poor because it's not worth it for grocery stores.
I think you're the biggest advocate for a Soda Tax.
