I tend to agree. But they're sticking to their guns with this staged opening. Can't face a political penalty by "listening" to the doctors. You can if you open early and face another wave. 

Assuming JT opens the borders on the 21st. Things will quickly get back to normal. 

True.  But that strategy will lead to more business closings, more mental health issues, etc.  When it’s all unnecessary.  Ontario is at 40% fully vaccinated.  25% was the goal for stage 3.  And stage 3 isn’t even fully opening.  It’s full of continued restrictions.  This policy is based on fear and not science.

It's totally based on science. Infection and Hospitalization is a lag indicator. You need to give it time to see if Vaccination and public safety measures are working. 

I fully expect them to work, but these 2 weeks are buying time for more people to get vaccinated.
