  1. The National Post sent a reporter to Ford's house in the evening?
  2. http://www.torontosun.com/2012/05/09/maclean-stirs-9-11-controversy Yes it is crazy to compare the two things, so why did he do it? I bet if this was Don Cherry the usual crowd would call him a senile dinosaur that should be fired by the CBC.
  3. That was my sentiment from the beginning. I never thought what Dale and the Star did was illegal, I just thought it was in poor taste.
  4. Can't really defend him if he claimed there was video evidence of Dale peering into backyard and the police say there isn't. Now it's interesting that people will believe the Police now but when they said Ford never berated a 911 operator following the Marg incident there was a sentiment that the police were lying. Ford does have a history of this kind of thing so I can't say it's a surprise.
  5. If you google it there's supposed to be a video talking about them working in Croatia for Kings Landing and Qarth. There were scenes that I thought were from Qarth were actually from King's Landing. I do believe the scenes north of the wall are in Iceland.
  6. This wasn't caused by extreme weather per say. It was cool conditions that followed warm conditions. Currently the weather is very seasonal in the areas affected.
  7. That's a rather convenient explanation. The temperature is warming. Unless it cold then it's just extreme conditions due to the warming.
  8. Then how does all that explain last winter being really cold and the colder than normal April?
  9. You two need a room?
  10. I checked. Farmer's Market Empire Apples. Grown in Ontario. Purchased at a No Frills. Those aren't the ones you buy by the pound. You buy a bag of smaller apples at a flat rate. Probably the runts of the litter, but it is spring.
  11. They say grown in Ontario on them. From what I gather you can put apples in a climate controlled, low oxygen rooms for the winter and they stay reasonably fresh.
  12. This really sucks! http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/early-thaw-and-late-freeze-lay-waste-to-ontarios-orchards/article2427150/ I had a feeling when I saw trees blooming in mid-march that something was wrong. But the really crappy April was the problem. There's no real evidence that climate change is the culprit here. Growing stuff is a gamblers game. Just really bad luck this year. How can you blame a warm March and a cold April at the same time? But this hits everyone. I eat an apple a day at lunch because I can buy a bag of them for usually less than $4. I'm not going to continue that healthy behaviour if the price of an apple becomes prohibitively expensive. Looks like we might have to enjoy stuff that's not locally grown this coming year.
  13. The OLG makes all big winners name get published in the paper. If I was him I would have probably moved.
  14. Lots of stuff kids wear could be seen as offensive. Still to suspend the kid for wearing the T-Shirt is a very heavy-handed. Then again we find out that the kid did more than just wear a T-shirt to get suspended.
  15. The witnesses not good enough for you? You saying Menzoid just wrote a column making something up and wrote a column about it just cuz? It's possible, but there's no evidence to support it. According to the column Menzies just informed the lady he had a right to shoot anywhere he wanted. You make it sound like he just started shooting her to spite her. Again no evidence to support that he did that. All we have is his testimony from a column he wrote. And the only reason we're talking about this is to highlight that he's a hypocrite. From what I've heard of his appearance on Ford's radio show, he neither condoned nor disapproved of Ford's handling of the situation. He just opined that The Star likely sent a reporter to snoop hoping that Ford would lose his temper and assault Dale. No one is really talking about that though. The big fall-out of the radio appearance is the Smitherman remarks. Remarks that the Fords have since distanced themselves from.
  16. If the Mayor had a traditional weekend at the cottage during Caribana would people call him racist.
  17. The Menzoid is a known Bleep Disturber. That's his MO. He once went at camped out at Toronto's former Tent City so he could report the type of people that were stay there.
  18. Well when Ford was on the campaign trail someone did just that. A doctor asked if it's a good idea for someone that's 300+ lbs to run for mayor because they could die of a Heart Attack or something.
  19. Sure, no surprise people are like that. I wouldn't expect to go back to my normal life after winning that much money. But who bitches about it? Who here wouldn't switch their lot in life for this guy's?
  20. http://www.thestar.com/news/article/1174512--lottery-winner-craig-henshaw-paid-a-big-price-for-his-millions?bn=1 Cry me a freakin' river! Everyone knows the potential pitfalls of winning the lottery. If he didn't think that would happen why did he buy the ticket? This guy also had to quit his job. The question is what kind of person thinks they can go back to work and expect people to treat them normally? Who wouldn't love to have the problems this guy has?
  21. The column cites witnesses. Of course if you think he's lying about the incident you'd believe he's lying about having witnesses too. Menzies was highlighting the obvious double standard that exists with the way the police treat people. Same as he was highlighting the double standard of people questioning Ford's ability to be mayor because of his weight but it's taboo to question George Smitherman's ability to be mayor because of his history of drug use.
  22. You can see the irony in that statement when people here seem to think Rob Ford had no right to tell Daniel Dale to stop taking photos of his house.
  23. So the woman punching him in the face was justifiable? He was in Dundas Square for Jebus' sake!
  24. From the clip I heard of the radio show, Menzies didn't say that Dale should have been punched. He said that, he thought the Star sent their wimpiest reporter to Ford's house, hoping he would get punched. Had Ford decked Dale, that would have made the Star's day.
  25. Based on that column, had Ford punched Dale, he shouldn't have been charged.
