    Maybe there will be a Media Scrum that she'll have to deal with after the meeting, I don't know. OR perhaps she got pressured into withdrawing from the meeting by other FN leaders because the meeting will be more about her and this audit than the issues the leaders want to discuss. I can't prove that, but it wouldn't surprise me considering how this woman has made this national movement all about her. I'm pretty sure she's not pulling out because the GG won't be there though. And if she is, she's more vain that I originally thought.

    It's a divide and conquer tactic. It'll separate the people who really believe this contract infringes on their rights and those who are just afraid of Union. This could get very dirty, especially if pro-teachers or pro-Bill 115 delegates clash at the Liberal leadership convention later this month. As someone who's very Anti Ontario Liberals, I LOVE IT!

    Today Dalton is going to the Labour Relations Board to get the "protest" called illegal. Then, I suppose, they can impose these fines. Apparently the Unions can get fined upwards of $25,000 too. If the Unions can fine teachers $500 for not participating in job action (which they were threatening), I don't see why the Province can't charge teacher's for walking off the job.

    Well unless she gets escorted by armed guards to the meeting, she'll probably have reporters hounding her the minute she leaves her Teepee. Last week she embraced that treatment, Not so much now.

    No they expect them to wait until their case us heard in court. I just heard the province might try to fine anyone that walks off the job $2000.

    Are people on Welfare expected to pay rent? I wouldn't know where to find a place anywhere in Ontario for less than $600/month. I know of people that have tenants in their basement and have had rent cheques from the government. A single person can easily live in $600/month if rent is taken care of.

    That's hilarious!!! She does know the PM appoints the GG? The GG doesn't make policy regarding FN issues. Either she's a complete moron, which is possible if not likely, or she's embarrassed now that the mismanagement on her reserve has been made public. What would be even more hilarious is if she continued her laughable fake hunger strike.

    A week after a 2-week break and 2 or 3 weeks before the break they were doing rotating strikes. That's 2 days lost due to strike action in 2 or 3 weeks of actual class time. The strikes before Christmas were legal, these ones aren't.

    Long weekend the first week out of Christmas Break Way to win the support of parents teachers!!! If Laurel Broten doesn't do anything she'll lose all credibility. Wait she doesn't have any.

    So because they were completely reckless by not even saying who got the money, they can say there is no proof of any corruption. I'd say this is brilliant. I'm going to do stuff like this on my next income tax return, I'm sure the CRA will be cool with it right?

    No mention yet of the Global News team that was kicked off the reserve yesterday? Less than a week after being the media's darling, Chief Spence has gone into Operation Shutdown. She knows there'll likely be some sort of scrum on Friday and the media will likely be asking her about the audit, especially now that she refuses to talk about it.

    Just before he threw that second Touchdown everyone who was watching that game knew he was hurt. Even if he said he was fine, he clearly wasn't. Apparently Doctor James Andrews who is on staff for the Skins (He's also the doctor everyone in North American pro sports goes to see with orthopedic problems) and was on the sidelines had said he never got to examine him. Lot's of fingers will be pointed at lots of people. It's a good thing they drafted Kirk Cousins, everyone thought that was idiotic when they did it after traded multiple first round picks to trade up to get RG3 but hindsight makes that move look genius.

    Football is doing a better job at hockey trying to reduce stuff like head injuries actually. Automatic 15 yard penalty if you touch another player's helmet with yours. Quarterbacks are also treated with kid gloves.

    Interestingly in the Toronto area, Hockey and Basketball tickets are absurdly high while Baseball tickets are OK. (if the Jays become serious contenders that could change) Then going across the Niagara River to see a Buffalo Bills game is very cheap. Maybe that's just because we pay more for everything in big cities. I'm sure in markets like Dallas and Columbus they're giving tickets away. But I'm sure seeing Ohio State or the Dallas Cowboys football is very expensive.

    Most Canadians live in cities and have met very few FN people let alone been on a reserve. I think the only exposure most people have to reserves is when they go there to get duty-free tobacco.

    What type of demands? More tax revenue should be taken from Canadians to fix these problems? A special First Nations Sales Tax?

    I'm not an expert on FN issues. I don't pretend to be. But the whole circus around the Hunger Strikes makes a good portion of this Idle No More thing about this one lady, who's obviously not on a hunger strike. She shouldn't be an inspiration to anyone. I do think this sideshow has given people the motivation to do some digging and find things like damning audits and practices that show an obvious lack of accountability on the part of the band.

    No I think a Hunger Strike, especially a fake one, is actually a very immature response to whatever ails the FN community. She's making it all about her and not the important issues at hand.
