  1. I don't think his past should be forgotten, especially now that he's playing the Man of God card. He wants people to think of him as a good guy. I hope someone has the guts to bring it up next week.
  2. And a lot of bad too. Again he could just sit at home and count his money, but he wants to be forgiven.
  3. Then why are you posting in this thread? The only reason people gave him money for "Cancer Awareness" (not research) is because he cheated at a few bicycle races. So I'm assuming you're fine with cheating as long as it ultimately goes to the right place. BTW why aren't you commenting on all the people's lives he tried to ruin because he wouldn't admit to the lies he was spouting.
  4. Here's what Wes Welker's wife has to say about Ray Lewis. http://www.torontosun.com/2013/01/21/wes-welkers-wife-aims-tirade-at-ray-lewis Maybe he didn't kill anyone be dude is not a role model. He was coming out with the Praise Jesus talk after that game. PAAAAALESE!!!!!
  5. When you only release one phone a year you kind of need it to be a huge success. Unlike Samsung that have a variety of phones to offer people.
  6. Robin Hood rationale! Again Livestrong doesn't fund Cancer Research, it's more of an organization that promotes health and wellness. There are Livestrong Treadmills you can buy at Canadian Tire.
  7. You can't really prove that he's saved lives. No one is questioning Livestrong is a decent organization, but its founder is a massive jerk. Again he could just go Barry Bonds and fall off the face of the Earth but he's talking to Opera, so he clearly wants to do something about his horrible public perception.
  8. OK so what about all the people Lance Armstrong sued. He tried to ruin people's lives for simply stating the truth. The man is an absolute scumbag. He could go away with all his money and no one would care, but he's doing this interview to try and get back into competition. He wants to do Triathlons but he can't because he's a known cheater that's been denying it aggressively.
  9. Pupatello and Wynne don't want one. In fact Saaaaandra doesn't even have a seat so she wouldn't bring the house back until she gets a bi-election. Windsor is a strong NDP area, so there's no guarantee she'd win a seat. The PCs want an election right away but I'm curious what would make NDPers happy to work with these people. If the house sits again, I'm hoping the opposition goes right back and pounds away at the Liberals on the scandal that is the Power Plant switcheroo.
  10. So it's the Harbowl. The story of brother head coaches facing eachother in the Super Bowl will allow the sports networks to ignore the fact that Ray Lewis killed some people. Go Niners . . . I guess. Randy Moss winning a Super Bowl will be kind of cool.
  11. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/theresa-spence-unsatisfied-with-meeting-between-harper-chiefs/article7562260/ She must really be upset that NO ONE! takes her seriously anymore. She had her shot and she blew it by not showing up to that meeting because the GG wasn't there. I hope the press ignores her now.
  12. I'd like to announce that it's COLD!

Not so cold...only -25 C in the shade.

  13. Actually Live strong is a cancer awareness organisation. And no one would have given any money if it wasn't for the stupid bicycle race.
  14. Mark Mcgwire has no hope of seeing the HofF either. For years there was an asterix next to Maris' record because he did it in 162 games.
  15. Ty Cobb is in the Hall of Fame and he was a textbook jerk. Pete Rose is only being snubbed because he bet on baseball and denied it. Perhaps he should get an interview with Oprah. Getting into the HOF is completely subjective, writers vote people in. There is not subjective standard to getting someone in. Their records are still on the books, so why don't they credit for what they did? There was no testing for those drugs then so technically they weren't breaking the rules. People used amphetamines in baseball all the time back in the day but they're banned now.
  16. I heard the guy on the radio say Adam Lanza is a plant. No one in Newtown knows who he is.
  17. You mean Michael Phelps? Since the Ben Johnson days, you have to question any great athlete if they did what they did clean. Anyone think Usain Bolt is clean? Two of the greatest baseball players in history didn't get into the Hall of Fame last week because they were suspected of using drugs.
  18. I think you mean Ralph Klein. Unless, of course, you're being ironic.
  19. The province offers excellent job finding services. If you can prove you've been looking for work you can even apply to have the province foot the bill for your education. One of the changes to EI is that they'll send you e-mails of job openings in your field.
  20. He admitted to doping before cancer.
  21. So welfare is meant to subsidize small town businesses and to keep people that can't find work there, staying there? Sounds like a way to keep generations stuck on the public dole.
  22. I don't really mind that he doped. You pretty much had to be a doper to be successful in that sport back then. What bugs me is that he sued people and trashed anyone who knew the truth. Now that his life has come crashing down, he comes clean. Will he give money back to the people and organizations that he sued? I saw some of the interview last night and he seemed contrite. But he sort of had to be. People are going to be coming after him now.
  23. But that's minimum wage in Ontario every job offers that. Maybe living in the GTA spoils me but I see Now Hiring signs all the time. Now those are service sector jobs but that's gotta pay more than welfare.
