  1. It's refreshing to know that Wage Stagnation, Perpetual Deficit Spending, and Unsustainable Real Estate values only began in 2015. ?
  2. Well you can just continue to yell at clouds.
  3. And providing someone a 10 minute medical procedure may actually improve his family planning decisions without having to worry about other, more expensive forms of birth control. Like say, abortions.
  4. Why should the taxpayer pay for some old dude's new knee? Why should the taxpayer pay for a woman to have a fourth kid? Why should the taxpayer pay for a smoker's Lung Cancer treatment? You really want to go down this road?
  5. Good thing you don't decide what gets covered by our Healthcare system.
  6. But a vasectomy? As I said to Herbie OP bait. If you're going to make the Pill free, but not a myriad of other medications people have to pay for if they don't have bennies at work (and even then you have to pay some). Might as well make Condoms free. At least you can confirm it worked right after the "act" vs the Pill or an IUD>
  7. Great! What a good dad you are. My parents helped me too. White Privilege, I suppose. A lot of Millennials aren't so fortunate, so they've decided they won't even consider parenthood. Is covered by OHIP (or whatever provincial insurance plan you use) better? My Vasectomy was "Free". As "Free" as the birth of both my children were. Semantics much?
  8. NO! They should be taught that their pre-marital sex comes with consequences!
  9. Before industrialization children were an asset because many didn't live to adulthood and they could help on a farm. Without them helping on a farm they turn from an asset to a financial liability. The countries with the fastest birth rate are those with that pre-industrialization mindset. Keep having kids because you'll need em. Also with the increase in a standard of living you want less children. Poorer families have no problem making 4 kids share a bedroom. I, myself, would prefer my kids to have their own room.
  10. So I have two young children in my 40's. After my second, I couldn't get a vasectomy fast enough. I don't want to be in my 70's with a teenager. And some 20-year-olds don't have the financial ability to care for kids. BTW don't complain about families not having kids unless you don't completely embrace work-from-home culture. I couldn't imagine having to take a train back from the city to pick up a child from daycare or school because they have a cough. This is Boomers fault. Wages have not risen with the cost of living. It's near impossible to raise a family on a single income. And you have to live out in the Burbs, with a lengthy commute to boot.
  11. Considering how expensive a kid is. . . yeah. I'm sure you don't want the taxpayer-funding fetus killing.
  12. Why did his personal lawyer do time?
  13. You get a lot of that money back with a Rebate. And Oil companies and Car companies get subsidized all the time. Subsidizing big corporations for setting up shop in your town/jurisdiction is a cottage industry.
  14. So this is a bait thread? LOL I'll bite. If they really wanted to be fair, Condoms should also be free. It's probably more effective and mutual assuring than the Pill. Who's to know if a woman is taking the pill properly. Needing a prescription for Plan B is weird. It's hard enough to get a doctors appointment, you need to get one in a 24-hour period to get the Morning After Pill. I needed it once, it's like $30. On Twitter, I saw Rachel Notely, in Alberta, politicians complaining that these forms of contraception still cost money but vasectomies are covered. Even though Apples to Apples would be a Tubal Ligation. Getting your Tubes ties is a far more involved surgery, but men didn't invent our reproductive systems.
  15. No, but China has also invested more in Green Energy than most other places. Their EV adoption blows the West out of the water. China has the unenviable task of trying to a country of a billion people out of poverty without the natural resources to do it like a Western Nation.
  16. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Most provinces have already banned Coal.
  17. I think Hydrogen tech is important. But like with Lithium it makes a lot of energy to produce. So ultimately the key here is to make more energy green. So either storing existing Green Energy (more battery type tech) or expanding it. EV's don't become mainstream if we don't also continue to invest in a greener grid. Most of the developed world have pushed coal out, I don't see Natural Gas reliance ending anytime soon, it's how most of us heat our homes.
  18. This is the thing right? JT just bumped Gas Prices again over the weekend. Nothing that'll bankrupt anyone but there doesn't seem to be a political movement to scrap Carbon pricing. No one should feel the need to sell their newish ICE vehicle to jump on the bandwagon today. But if you're in the market, and I was in 2020, if it makes sense for you, it's a good investment on cost savings going forward. If you're buying a new car, you're likely already committing to a $30k plus sticker price. We've gone over ones that are cheaper, but they're not the best cars. So why not make the investment in reducing some of the ongoing costs of keeping a car on the road? This also assumes you have a garage to charge and another ICE car would help (not essential though). And the cool thing about the EV is that its usage will reduce the wear and tear on your older ICE vehicle, as you'll likely be using your EV for most daily tasks.
  19. I think you've missed the spelling mistake. BTW do you agree with the GOP establishment that him being charged is similar treatment to Mao and Stalin considering he's innocent until proven guilty?
  20. Trump's been indicated!!!! ? But Biden is the one with an addled brain? https://twitter.com/jeanneenabottle/status/1641574762047479811/photo/1
  21. Other than Healthcare, The US has two pretty unique national problems. Guns and Incarceration. The solution to those on the right is more guns and more prisoners.
  22. The comparisons to autocratic regimes are hilarious. If this was Mao or even Putin! Trump would already be in a Gulag awaiting a show trial. In the US he gets to negotiate the terms of his surrender. Is the base stupid enough to believe this tripe?
  23. The Good Guy with a Gun argument is becoming more irksome the more I hear it. This shooter rolled up with 3 weapons and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. Does every school need an armed guard? Even a Christian Middle School? In Uvalde there were officers that were supposed to protect the school. They waited outside and let kids get murdered because they were outgunned. A pistol won't do shit when someone decides, for whatever reason, they want to murder people on their way out. So is America really going down the path where security needs weapons of war, because weapons of war are so easy to get? Seems more like a 3rd world country than the richest country to ever exist.
  24. Lots of people have Mental Health issues in lots of countries. In no other country can people with Mental Health Issues buy weapons of war and hundreds of rounds, no questions asked.
  25. And because they probably like a lot of what's in the Old Testament, which is fundamentally a Jewish document.
