  1. Trump too.
  2. I don't think that happened in Ontario. You saw that in Alberta where they expanded capacity. The main way of doing that is cancelling surgeries and focusing more of the Healthcare system with handling COVID-19 instead of other healthcare concerns. Which is why there are secondary problems with a jurisdiction-wide outbreak. "Rationing of care" or "Triage Protocol" become buzzwords.
  3. Well regardless. If you believe hospitalization figures, the hospitals were becoming overwhelmed. And in the communities with younger populations that usually live in congregate settings. Where young people, in frontline work, often live with older people. The biggest error in handling COVID earlier in the year IMHO, was prioritizing older populations who could stay home instead of people who couldn't stay home, even if there was a lockdown.
  4. It's actually tough to find those stats. You can find age breakdowns of infected, but I've had trouble finding demographic breakdowns of those Hospitalized. We do know that the 3rd Wave in Ontario was driven largely by frontline workers in Urban areas. Old people were still staying home. https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/coronavirus/pandemic-s-third-wave-hits-people-in-their-20s-30s-with-more-illness-and-blame-1.5370188 They tried to localize lockdowns only to the urban areas but it didn't work. By April the numbers were spreading across the province, so the long 2 month lockdown happened.
  5. When people point this out, I always wonder what practical solutions they would propose. A Soda Tax? Scrapping subsidies for Corn? Implementing Subsidies for Fresh fruits and vegetables? Or just free Gym memberships? One excellent way to tackle obesity is to make the food supply scarce again.
  6. Just to be fair. That's the same rhetoric the likes of Shady use to imply that COVID is only dangerous to people over 60. A vast majority of the deaths happened early in the pandemic from people in LTC homes. Since them we've had waves were young people have been the majority of people infected and Hospitals still have been overwhelmed. See Ontario in the Spring and Alberta and Saskatchewan recently.

  9. In the first wave, sure. But, I think you can concede almost all older people are vaccinated. In March and April, they were very high. From Easter to mid-June Ontario was essentially in Lockdown. The Ratio of infected for vaxxed increases as the total number drops. And hospitalizations also drop. Those 15 guys got a mild case, likely due to the vaccine. The passport does mitigate spread, but doesn't prevent it. Well Ontario isn't dropping them . . . Likely not until the winter is over. When each restriction is lifted, time is given to see how it affects cases and hospitalizations. This week Ontario removed all capacity limits in places with the vaccine passport implemented. When North 3/4 of the population having some immunity and the the majority that don't are children, we're getting close to the effective end of the pandemic. I'm hoping once Saskatchewan and Alberta get their shit together, the Feds may lift the PCR test requirement for vaccinated people. It's noted here. https://globalnews.ca/news/8289227/ontario-covid-coronavirus-modelling-october-22/ https://globalnews.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/ontario-covid-modelling-nordic-countries-slide.jpg?w=2048
  10. Actually no we didn't. Even with only about 10% eligible of the population unvaccinated, more or less 2/3 of the daily cases are still amongst unvaccinated. And closer to 80% of the hospitalized are unvaccinated. It was to keep unvaccinated people out of the Hospital. One of these men did die, tragically, but he was vulnerable. The other 15, also vulnerable, recovered with mild symptoms. Had the entire group been unvaccinated, I suspect the figures would be much different, for the worst. And Alberta withdrew all public safety measures and their hospitals were overwhelmed. Ditto with Saskatchewan. We actually see Nordic countries seeing a dramatic spike in cases by removing public health precautions. Ontario has said that vaccine passport mandates will be removed in January and mask mandates will be removed in March. Plenty of time to guard against "waves".
  11. Do you have a single reference from Canada to back that claim up? Do you know how many Canadians have experienced myocarditis?
  12. Actually it wasn't being ignored. The narrative was to protect vulnerable people. Which is why family gatherings were discouraged. During the 3rd Wave, more young people were being hospitalized and died. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/ontario-covid-third-wave-younger-patients-1.5955838
  13. All the people in this league were 50+. The man who died was 75. As you age your immune system goes down regardless. So even the vaccine is less effective. From your linked article. All presumably in vulnerable groups as well. Numbers continue to drop in Ontario. Even as the weather cools down and people move activities indoors.
  14. Yet Remdesivir and Monoclonial Antibodies have been used for most of the pandemic as a treatment.
  15. See the numbers in Ontario lately? No one is taking Ivermectin here AFIK.
  16. Because it's not approved for use in Canada! Because no one who promotes it has applied for authorization. There are drugs and treatments for COVID that have been approved.
  17. No, Stupid people do stupid things.
  18. Wow you Anti-Vaxxers really all play from the same talking points eh. This is why I'd be against it. https://healthycanadians.gc.ca/recall-alert-rappel-avis/hc-sc/2021/76365a-eng.php If it's this miracle drug, why hasn't anyone submitted an application to have it approved for use against COVID? There are proven treatments for COVID, but none are miracle drugs. Will you all jump on Prozac next? https://www.cnn.com/2021/10/28/health/fluvoxamine-covid-risk-study/index.html
  19. I'm sure you haven't paid much attention, but there's a labour shortage. Most businesses are hiring. You mean there's a disconnect between rich and poor? NOWAI. Better not visit the United States anytime soon.
  20. Your Delhi stats are merely correlation of time-periods. And revolve around case counts and not severity of cases. Which is what Ivermectin would guard against. . . if it actually worked. https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMc2114907
  21. Who gets 12? People on the dole? If you can't get a job in this job climate you have major problems.
  22. Who's they? It's the employer's right to ensure a safe workplace. I think you're the one who needs help, being so enraged by some limited restrictions during a global pandemic.
  23. I doubt that. It's an anti-parasite medication. Not proven to be effective against COVID.
  24. Awww muffin. I think you overestimate the vaxxed restrictions on anyone who's not a front-line worker that deals with public health. Where are the camps?
  25. 2 year olds? Why are people checking the IQ of a 2-year-old? Only in the early few months of the pandemic where parks and social gatherings outdoors banned. For the past year, there's been ample opportunity for children to be socialized.
