Harper doing the shuffle again.

Harper doesn't like Peter Mackay but he's owes his job to him, he's not getting booted from cabinet. -
Rebuilding the Liberal Brand
Newfoundlander replied to cybercoma's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The Liberals in Newfoundland and Labrador have decided after a decade they are going to try and rebuild too. Starting this Spring two failed Liberal candidates and a wannabe leader will co-chair the Liberal Renewal Tour. http://nlliberals.ca/news-events/liberal-renewal-tour-2012/ -
Gerard Kennedy, Martin Cauchon, Denis Coderre were all cabinet ministers yet they are suppoedly "weak weak weak" compared to the NDP candiates? Dominic LeBlanc was also a parliamentary secretary who has more federal experience then anyone the NDP put forward. I'd rather any of them running the country then a union negotiater, a teacher, a pharmacist, or a student.

A union leader who has a bad electoral record and is as boring as hell.
-
And then elected the wannabe Conservative.

Seeing outmigration in Newfoundland and Labrador has stopped your point pretty much sucks.

David Bertschi is taking pledge donations. Marc Garneau said he'd run if a younger candidate didn't come forward. Mark Holland, Martin Cauchon and Gerard Kennedy said they were considering it. Denis Coderre said he's either running for the leadership or mayor of Montreal. Borys Wrzesnewskyj said he may run. David McGuinty decided not be house leader because he was considering running, though he's supposedly out now. And Dominic LeBlanc has been considered to be a likely candidate.

When was this seeing they've already had several people say they were considering running.

At a caucus meeting tomorrow, open to the media, Bob Rae will make a special announcement.

Here's a great article on Christy Clark that sums her up nicely I think. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/christy-clark-replete-with-smiles-not-substance/article2388813/ I don't what's going to happen in British Columbia with the Liberals and Conservatives. I believe the perfect thing with Gordon Campbell was he had no affiliation with a party at the federal level and therefore was successful at attracting both Liberals and Conservatives into the BC Liberal Party. Clark on the other hand is a federal Liberal, and no matter how much she tries to reach out to conservatives there are a number who aren't going to vote for her simply because she supports the federal Conservatives. Even though I think Kevin Falcon would have made a much better leader and the BC Conservatives likely wouldn't have grown under his leadership, there is however a chance the party could have lost the federal Liberal and even centrist voters because of him. They likely would have had their struggles with keeping the party united under any of the leadership candidates.

More bureaucracy is exactly what we need.

Most Popular Premiers
Newfoundlander replied to Newfoundlander's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Wouldn't provincial right-wing parties likely favour decentralization more so then left-wing parties? -
I still don't see much wrong with this budget. The major problem with the Conservative Party is their leader.

You're mocking a woman not being able to have a child because you have this idea that because she's a conservative she's religious. -

Well hopefully karma comes back to bite both of you in the ass, seeing neither you or the staffer sound like you would be fit to be parents. -

The PC Party seems to be self destructing, a staffer in the premier's office has now resigned after critisizing one of Danielle Smith's family policies because she didn't have children. Smith has released a statement revealing that her and her husband have been unable to conceive after several years of trying. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/alberta-election/government-staffers-tweet-makes-fertility-an-issue-in-alberta-election-campaign/article2388261/?utm_medium=Feeds%3A%20RSS%2FAtom&utm_source=Politics&utm_content=2388261 -
