Well, a Dr can prescribe medication for you, which is patented by a drug manufacturer (so that is the only company that you can get it from), and then receive "perks" from the company that makes that medication for selling it to you, and they don't have to tell you. Did you really need medication at all? Was there a better form of treatment available for you, but the Dr didn't recommend it because he doesn't receive any benefits from prescribing it? Is the medication basically useless? Are there some side-effects of that medication that basically outweigh the benefits? It doesn't matter. None of it matters. Once the Big-Pharma-controlled FDA approves or even recommends that form of treatment, lawsuits are 100% impossible. Oh, and there's more. People who sit on the board of the FDA ( and senators and congressmen alike) can invest in medications that are up for FDA approval, and it's not considered "insider trading", or any type of confict of interest.
