  1. You are saying Mulcair is a poor money manager with no proof of poor money management. Or you can educate yourself and understand something other than the corporatist party propaganda http://business.financialpost.com/2012/05/28/maybe-mulcair-had-it-right/
  2. Are you libellously saying that Mulclair is a poor money manager even though the National Post argues it's fully feasible? Odd.
  3. You have to change your wording to be a question/suggestive opinion instead of a statement (like the conservatives/fox news do in all of their BS propaganda) and you are good. Take some examples from the Conbots on this forum, they are pretty good at avoiding libel while heavily suggesting that something entirely false is true.
  4. I'll indulge in this conspiracy theory for a moment. The only pro-oil candidate for PM had all of the editorials supporting him, save a few. Odd. The Koch brothers who like to rape and pillage the land and hate environmental regulations, labour rights or any government interference/anything good for regular people, fund right wing think tanks and non-profit lobby groups in the US and Canada. Koch Brothers: Harper is Right: Foreign Radicals are After the Oils Sands Conservatives attack our ability to regulate environmental destruction without warrant. Conservatives start putting downward pressure on wages. Conservatives start attacking labour rights. Strange. No average Canadian would advocate for such things... so where are these initiatives coming from? In general, right wing nuts who pull this "powerful union" crap need to realize that corporations have more money and more power than any union and there are those who abuse it 24/7 for 365 days a year. The wealthiest of people do not give a rats ass about your well being other than the profit they make off of your hard work.
  5. Trying to minimize the real negative effects of a major factor because "other factors exist" is way different than discussing the other factors. Just saying Because purposefully being obtuse does not mean that the dutch disease effect has not made our situation worse for everyone not living in Alberta. I have a job for you, working at a cigarette company 20-30 years ago. "There are many other factors that lead to cancer, not just smoking tobacco products".
  6. Such a troll. Doesn't even undestand what he's talking about. Even the National Post has an article saying that it could have been legitimately good debt. They aren't typically favourable to left wing (as seen how they always have a picture of lefties that makes them look retarded). Anyone who actually knows something about business knows that you need money to make money, and he could have mortgaged several times to campaign and further his career. Using debt for investments in ones self is not bad. Feltch needs a reality check, and to stop suckling desperate propaganda.
  7. Why are people so quick to minimize something because there are other reasons? It is still a major factor, no matter how you try to minimize it.
  8. The Dutch bomb is actually 30% of the reason that we've lost jobs. It's by no means a small contributor to job losses in Ontario.
  9. I hope that people are realizing that the Harper Government are really a corporatist government and not for the people. Why would we elect a government that wants everyone except the 1% to be paid less? Why would we elect a government that hates the right to bargain for a fair wage? Why would we elect a government that only invests in corporations and not small business? Why would we elect a government that hates the majority of voters and wants to destroy the historic economic hub of Canada?
  10. You can search the various threads on Toew's. I said it was also inappropriate, FYI
  11. Well, to be fair, in Corporate Conservatopia that is exactly what they want you to fear so you don't fight back.
  12. You bring the question of competence... But don't seem demonstrate competence in understanding what being a competent financial manager means. Has he paid his debts? Did he default on a loan? Has he committed fraud (like so many conservatives) to pay his loans? Why don't we just look at his credit score and be done with it? The banks were willing to do this. That means that he is competent in managing his debt. It shouldn't matter how many times one has mortgaged an abode. It really shouldn't, accessing equity is legitimate. Financial competence is primarily in being able to pay back the money you owe in a timely fashion satisfactory to the terms. That is what our credit score represents. Seeing that the banks went through, he is obviously competent enough to pay back the money he's owed. This is nothing more than a thinly veiled, pathetic flail from a heavily tarnished group of conservative politicians. The desperation shows greatly in how far they had to dig for a minute issue.
  13. I'm still wondering how this is relevant to anything other than the Vikileaks. Hypocrites.
  14. The corrupt and unethical love to hide their affairs from the sight of the good and just. Just saying. We need a government that invests in grass roots business, one that does not prop up big corporate business who fears new innovative competitors. That is my form of Robin Hood. Absolutely, assist those who are willing to take risks and generate innovation. If the government wants to get tough on EI, how about they get tough on government subsidies(direct or indirect) for healthy multimillion dollar corporations.
  15. Then that's their fault for not paying the workers enough during the work season to stay around for it
  16. I disagree with forcing everyone to take a lower paying job in a different field, their changes at least somewhat address that concern. I think it makes sense to limit those with purposeful and systematic unemployment from able to collect.
  17. THIS IS DISGUSTING! The Conservatives are already saying they might put back to work legislation through... Huge bonuses for CEO's? No problem. Raises for the average worker to cover the ever rising cost of living? ABSOLUTELY NOT. How can anyone support this corporate cronyism? http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/ottawa-considering-back-to-work-bill-in-cp-strike/article2440706/comments/
  18. There is only downward pressure on wages. It might not be as clear until you factor inflation in. We are headed for this utopia, I guess we should just start getting ready for it. The corporate party of Canada now wants people to be able to fake a hiring process to get to the "HIRE IMMIGRANT WORKERS for 15% OFF!" coupon. Hey... I have an idea... Let's kick the economic powerhouse (ONtario still is) in the shins with slanderous comments from our finance minister... and then claim that the new guy is trying to divide the country for wanting to properly enforce regulation and factor the real cost (including environmental clean up) into the business.
  19. Oh I see. The "It's not 100% of the cause" so it doesn't matter argument.
  20. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/harper-government-funded-study-arguing-canada-suffers-from-dutch-disease/article2437617/ Silly Conservatives...
  21. The crap is really going to hit the fan when these people can't find jobs. We should let the protests continue... because they are going to become a lot more commonplace in the near future... Our entire society is a pyramid scheme for the baby boomers. Yet, everyone else is an entitled brat.
  22. Yep. My mother-in-law was dragged through meetings for months as parents demanded that she'd be punished for sending her child out in -10 weather without a winter coat as punishment. Problem was that it never happened and the little jerk was just lying after receiving some poor evaluations. No one corroborated the child's story but the parents kept pushing it. (I think they wanted a lawsuit lottery or something, to be honest). What really sucks is when students lie to corroborate the story... Then a teacher can be removed and we teach these asses of children with horrible parents that you win with false accusations. This isn't to say that we shouldn't persecute teachers who actually do dumb things. Just that parents need to scrutinize their child's claims a little more. Children will and do lie all the time. Teenagers will argue and weave a web of lies forever, if you let them.
  23. Well, Abortion and Gay Rights turned out to be spectres for their real agenda. - Enable mass environmental destruction and poisoning by removing protections and regulations. - Put downward pressure on middle class wages with their new "Pay immigrant workers 15% less than North Americans" policy. They are trying to get the average people to make less while, allowing corporations to make more with less concern about the clean up (which will inevitably be born by the less wealthy than they would have been non-wealthy classes)
  24. There was never a day that grammar and spelling were perfectly used by most people. That concept is based on myth, rather than reality. If it is legible enough to read and understand on an internet forum, who cares? It's not like I'm writing an official speech to the people...
