  1. It's a natural progression of a party system with a sensationalist main stream media that blows everything out of proportion. Appearing like you can't control your MP's looks disorganized as a party. Who wants a disorganized party ruling the country? Whipped party voting shouldn't be allowed. All votes should be open for the MP to represent the interests of their riding, as that is what the riding really wants. What I would really like to see is more importance at the riding level with zero party affiliation. Vote for a local representative based on their ideas/merits/track record. The PM could then be elected by the representatives we send to parliament from elected MP's. MP's would always be allowed to vote freely. People could speak for or against any legislation rather than just have the opposition always opposed and the ruling party always for.
  2. Nope. Again, grew up with nothing but love for the whole country. Until I heard the vitriol coming out of the West.
  3. Ah yes, assumptions on ones person. I used to think that Canadians were united. Until I detected the general trend of hate flowing from West to East. I kept hearing the disdain westerners had for easterners. Even for simple things like how Ontario gets more lottery winners... They couldn't figure out that Ontario would get a good number of winners because that is where the the largest number of Canadians live. I read them in commentaries, editorials, forums.
  4. I'm just trying to keep the equation balanced.
  5. This post brought to you by Corporate Conservative Alliance of Canada. Thanks for the BS propaganda Higher cost of living. Infrastructure that hasn't been updated. Jobs that destroy your life. No thanks.
  6. Who needs to turn on Fox News for hilarious and irrational right wing drivel? They are scared and it REALLY shows in how they conduct themselves.
  7. Apparently you don't like living in a jungle of penises. That's ok. Party on! "The most male cities are in the West; Calgary, and then Edmonton. "
  8. Absolutely, and what we do on this planet affects how it handles the output of the sun.
  9. You've already said that you are not trying to say that he is a bad financial manager.(The only point this thread could be making was then nulled) Your line of discussion was over several pages ago and yet you continue. That was the appropriate time to exit the discussion, having admitted that you are not accusing Mulcair of being a poor manager of money. Especially since explanations have already been discussed.
  10. Ontario is begging for another option. The other parties just need to provide it... (Mostly PC because NDP is less likely to form provincial government) I don't know anyone who voted Liberal, who wasn't looking for an alternative they could believe in. If PC's marketed themselves better, they'd have won.
  11. Of course all climate is driven by the sun. But if you cut down trees and change how energy is trapped. The sun's affect on the planet changes. Just saying.
  12. Absolutely. I'd rather be able to support my family than enjoy the work I do. Still, the jobs suck.
  13. And not suitable for a good work-life balance either. Try having a family when you are away from them in the oil sands for 3-6 months at a time.
  14. BTW, if they aren't licensed, they aren't legal
  15. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/economy/economy-lab/frances-woolley/to-find-a-man-go-west-young-woman/article2446547/ I find it funny, they try to spin it as if women need to go find men. Yet, the reality is that young men go to where the young women are. That is why clubs give free cover to women. All of this "Go West" (Meaning go to Alberta) propaganda in the MSM is entirely bunk, and getting annoying. I read this morning that young families are moving west (with positive spin of course). Yet the article talked about how the infrastructure hasn't been updated (likely won't be under their supposedly conservative government) to support them. Yes, "Go West" young families so that you can suffer through infrastructure that hasn't been updated to support you. --- As an aside, I do know a girl who moved west. She had an STD with no cure, only treatment. GO GET 'ER Western Men! lol.
  16. Stop making excessive noise having an illegal party of large proportions then? (Sorry, I couldn't help myself from making the typical conservative response of "If you don't have anything to hide, you have nothing to fear")
  17. Again. Can't conservatives follow their mantra and *gasp* get real jobs? Maybe they should stop attacking EI when their own people can't even find work without it being handed to them.
  18. My driver's license should be free too! and fishing... and boating... Ahhh, to live in a libertarian paradise without any regulation.
  19. You do know that when interest rates are high, investors demand higher interest rates right? Saying that investments would stay around today's low interest rate levels when lending rates are huge is laughable. When were you born? Do you know anything about finances? A first year finance course would teach you that, a first year accounting would likely teach you that again... Needless to say, I'm starting to question your expertise on this subject. Are you an economics major? Political Science?(LOLLOLOLOL)
  20. We'll see. It's good to see historical change. At least people are thinking about the issues and being exposed enough to see how our government is holding hands with corporate interests and spitting on the interests of the average canadian at this point in time. There is a lot of money in corporate lobbying to help sway opinions through mainstream media. The conservatives have that money on their side. That is why they are attacking the only power the average Canadian has, labour rights.
  21. True on the non-story for most of Canadian politics. I'd say that the current conservative government's policies are pretty big stories that need to be discussed and well known though.
  22. If the high number of conservatives who need to be found government jobs because they don't actually have real work to do says anything, there are a high number of conservatives without any real skills and need to be given public sector jobs or risk being unemployed after a failed election attempt. Unemployed people have a lot of time to make sure they vote.
  23. *yawn* Let me know if we find out he blew it on a get rich quick scheme or hookers. Until then, arguments are just a bunch of hot air.
  24. Ok. So he isn't a poor money manger. End of thread. Thanks for coming out
