  1. I think it's equally as awesome Though if Gilles loses his seat, that would be my favorite.
  2. Man Iggy might lose his riding... that's beyond awesome.
  3. lolol @ the Bloc
  4. Be careful, you might get a $25,000 bill!
  5. I had a unibroue don de dieu earlier with an orange slice
  6. I just cracked a molson
  7. Something is better than nothing, in that case... you're right that you probably wouldn't qualify in the US for insurance coverage even with newer laws passed.
  8. I went to Seattle for the first time this January for the AMS conference (I had been to Spokane in 2000 which is beautiful in its own right) I was simply astounded at how beautiful and amazing the place was. Gorgeous beyond words... and I saw the best sunset of my life from the space needle!
  9. You live in BC. I'm jealous that you live in such a beautiful place.
  10. That's not right. BC and YK don't close until 10 ET. CBC I know is just having their special start at 930 while blacking it out for BC and YK.
  11. Yup as they provided a means for those results to be posted. If twitter has Canadian offices, they could be charged. I think the only thing that is okay to do is announce that a party has lost a riding they weren't running in the first place (Bloc in NL, for example or the Barbara Streisand party in Nunavut) as a humour piece. The other thing that is okay to do that we saw last election is where a speaker is running unopposed. CBC announced the winner of his seat quite early
  12. Yup. An official result: the Bloc was shut out in Newfoundland
  13. I noticed that. It's entertaining how people are getting around that haha
  14. Biggest problem is filtering what may be true from crap.
  15. It's like when you are holding something cute... such as a baby chick, a baby duck, or even a small kitten or puppy in your hands... then it just pees or craps in it. Not nice.
  16. I *had* them rolling in, then the site I was using took a crap. I agree with your last sentence!
  17. CBC St John's Radio One just got blacked out. The following is acceptable to discuss: Before the blackout, they were reporting turnout and discussion with voters, and it seems the NDP is getting a good turnout in NL. Should be interesting.
  18. People who are negotiating their debt do not have much leg room to make decisions. Bombardier is actually a good company.
  19. Jailed for the day, that is, to prevent any further destruction. Then fined at least $25,000.
  20. At this point, you might should hope that Quebec spends itself into default. That would allow for a massive reorganization of debt and monies by the federal government.
  21. They should have been jailed.
  22. I think this will happen. I then think that, on the right, the sudden addition of more moderate/centre voters and politicians will drive the more right wing elements to make a second iteration of Social Credit or Reform. Such is the wondrous nature of Canadian Parliamentary politics
  23. Yeah because the Liberals propping up Harper would be all peaches and cream for them. The whole point of Iggy's and the Libs' campaign was for Canadians to vote for them to get Harper out. That's why they kept saying "don't vote for the NDP if you want Harper out", etc. So then, if they prop up Harper, all of the voters who voted for the Liberals to try to keep Harper out would be lost to the NDP... pretty much they would lose their iron hold on Ontario/Toronto.
  24. Remind me... didn't some polls in 2008 in BC take longer to close than 7 PM, and didn't CBC have to wait until they actually closed to transmit results? I could definitely see that happening this time if it didn't happen in 2008 due to the increased turnout.
