Sorry but I don't know what you're going on about here? Nor was I commenting on something you had said. But you do want to debate or you wouldn't have responded to my comment. I was commenting about the Crimean vote and the alleged democratic votes in western nations. Russia, after seeing the violence in a neighbouring former partner state has an obligation to it's defence, therefore acting accordingly. Nothing unusual happened there and all the parties can at least try to move on. As far as those other countries go, I can give you an example of how Portugal (or at least many of it's citizens) regret wasting their time with Angola/Mozambique! Those colonies were a big waste of time/money/resources/human life! All that effort would have been better spent in developing infrastructure within Portugals borders! WWWTT

Yes on one hand, I would hate to believe that there are people out there that can just randomly take over a plane that I may be on and kill everyone on board. That would mean that all the safety and security measure put in place have failed! On the other hand, it is not reassuring that any random plane can go missing and the authorities say, hey sorry but we can't find it. But hey, maybe the pilot had committed suicide with everyone on board! That's even freekin worse!!! And then there is the possibility that everything completely failed, all the back up systems and tracking devices that are designed/tested and proven If the government of some country commandeered the plane like suggested earlier, that would actually be the most reassuring scenario! Then there is the possibility that all the people aboard are alive! But I guess a happy ending is a way out there/hard to believe conspiracy theory for some people?!?!?!??! WWWTT

Ya the Iranian terror plot was way too out there to have any credibility! I wouldn't look too much into it because it was shot down as soon as it came out, with the reports of the mother in Frankfurt very worried her son wasn't there yet. Ya I thought it was real odd that some people actually gave an Iranian terrorist conspiracy theory any attention at all! I still find it very troubling that a huge plane like this can just freekin vanish without a trace! You are misrepresenting the facts here. You are implying troop involvement=government support, and that is not the case. I don't think that there is any major conflict anywhere in the world where Canadians or Americans are not involved in! And on BOTH sides of any conflict! There were Canadian soldiers in Vietnam. There were US soldiers/pilots in both WWI and WWII among the Canadian ranks well before official US declarations of war! It's well documented there was Canadians/Americans in both sides of the Afghan conflict. In fact, the 3rd largest (arguably the 2nd) conflict Canada has been involved in (but before the BNA act) was the US civil war! WWWTT
