This thread is really stretching to find a way to use the NDP support in Quebec against the NDP. I do not believe NDP supporters outside of Quebec have a hatred for Quebec as conservative supporters do. After all it was only the reform party and then the conservatives that routinely demonized Quebec politicians.Not the NDP! WWWTT

Its funny that this "Quebec over-representation" seems to be geting alot of attention since the last election. When I last checked eastern Canada has the best representation in Canada. Oh but the conservatives won the majority of seats there,so why no controversy? WWWTT

That depends on the definition of "widespread". Aswell the majority win by the CPC(or any party) with only 5 seats in Quebec is a first in Canadian history. Can it be accomplished again? I believe it depends more on the overall percentage of seats Quebec holds among all seats across Canada. In other words if Quebec seat percentage drops(and will) then the greater the chance of winning a majority without a significant Quebec percentage. So therefore the conservative demonization of the seperasts makes sence in trying to canvas support outside Quebec. And how will Lebel play in all of this now,and what will the Canadian public think of a hypocrit being the prime minister!Will there be a backlash? WWWTT

Actually I read over it all again and he was not criticizing me in any way(but I did make an error). However he did not carry on as he claimed that he would not let me interfere. So by saying that he "zinged" me,when in fact he was only stating that he would not let me stop him from continuing his comments,indicates that you do not like the comments I post here very much. There are a couple people engaged in this thread who believe that this individual acted alone. After the 9/11 incident the American government determined that the action was conducted by a group,then took action by invading the home base of this group(going after others responsible). If then it is determined that the violent actions in Norway were that of a group and not an individual(hence there are some responsible still at large) will the Norwegian government crack down and start arresting right wing groups that they feel have contributed to this action? I believe that this is the case. After all it is the job of the police and justice system in Norway(or anywhere in the world) to protect the public.This crime has happened once and can happen again. What will the definition of a right wing radical now be?How broad will it be?How many people/groups/parties will now fit under this umbrella? Will new laws be written in Europe that specifically target right wing extremist such as was done to target Islamic terrorism? WWWTT

I have seen the replay of his press conference and there is a big change in his voice.It is much weaker and frail now.He has also lost some weight too. It could also be that we are use to seeing an energitic and fiery Jack and his health now is in sharp contrast,amplifieng our fears. I met him at a rally in Bramalea around the end of April.I shook his hand and shared a few words with him.He seemed in good health to me but that was just a brief encounter and I am not a medical professional. On a positive note he has youth,strong support and natural strength. He'll be back!

I do not believe that there is nothing wrong with having some pride with your heritage. My parents are Portuguese and I have some pride in that. But I do not feel(or ever in my life) that anothers persons right to exist somehow threatens me or threatens the well being of my descendants. This thread has turned into a freekin joke! People evolve,mutate and change.Life evolves,mutates and changes! Genetic diversity makes future generations stronger in fighting disease,healthier and more inteligent. In fact one of the biggest threats to endagered animal species around the world is the lack of genetic diversity!And conservationists or researchers go to great lengths to make sure that breeding populations are diverse to avoid inbreeding. If some people hear want to keep living in the past,fine.When future generations become to competitive and difficult for you to compete with then you can go on welfare!
