  1. If I am correct this 1.95$ per vote rebate(or whatever the amount is) was brought in hand in hand with other donation restrictions.I believe one of those restrictions is that unions are not allowed to make any donations whatsoever! Will Harper also be recinding the other restrictions that were brought in with this?I doubt it! WWWTT
  2. Wow Bob that was quite the reply to my thread! Actually I was trying to give the guy a compliment. But you seem to be more interested in lashing out at someone, anyone. It would be interesting if someone asked Ezra what he thinks of Rush L.I wouldn't be suprised if Ezra looks up to him.Ezra definetly emulates Rush in many ways, they are both right wing lose cannons and thats enough for me to make the simularity. If Ezra has bein ranting about ethical oil for a year now then good for him! Is it my fault I do not regulary listen to biased radical right wing juornalists?Lets just say there is a saying "you catch more flies with sugar instead of vinegar"! You mention I "love to hate" the right wing media that I never watch, listen to or read.Oh by the way you are making a contradictory statement, how can I start a thread about something I heard and watched on Ezras Sun TV show if I "never" listen to,watch or read the right wing media? How can I hate someone whom I do not know?I have never agreed with this person true but to actually hate him?Thats pretty strong and false! And then you say I write junk.Junk?Really?!?I sence much conflict within you! WWWTT
  3. I was watching Ezra last night on Sun TV(Ezra by the way is Canadas Rush Limbaugh)and his topic was about ethical oil. Ezra claims the EU is/has condemned oil sands oil for environmental reasons, but still uses Saudi oil with a clear conscious.Despite Saudi human rights violations(in summary). He also rants about Canadas role in Libya. I have never agreed with this man before.Ever! But in my opinion Ezra has somehow found a way to walk a fine line(tightrope)through this topic without insulting muslims or any other Canadians and come out looking like a champion for Canada! But once he starts talking about Canadians or immigrants supporting the King of Syria in a protest and/or sheria law(or religion in general) he stumbles off the tightrope and plumets into his typical anti-anybody not from Alberta rant that he is famous for! Has this guy finally turned the page? WWWTT
  4. Only time will tell? The NDP are in the middle of a new face lift,in other words they are trying to push a little more to the right or centre(actually Bob Rae started this over 20 yrs ago). And they may see this minority liberal government as an opportunity to solidify their commitment in fiscal restraint while still helping small/midsize employers and the working family. After all Ontario is the biggest single part of Canada and will still be desisive in Canadian politics well into the 21st century.Do well in Ontario and you will do well in Canada! WWWTT
  5. OK heres my take on last nights results. First off this was a real tight race and in my opinion we are in for a long stretch of tight races and/or minorities in Ontario. This election was a big comprimise for every party.Everyone is dissapointed but has some positive. To say Hudack was the biggest loser underestimates how unpopular premier Mike Harris really was throughout Ontario!(there's another conservative MPP by the name Mike Harris now so I make the distinction) Hudack had a freekin mountain to leap and it wasn't going to happen in one election(voters aren't that stupid!Thank God!) I attended Jagmeet Singh's federal rally with Sid Ryan(president OFL) and Bill Signal(BA for Local 46) where Jack made an appearance, aswell I had donated to Singhs federal campaign and I am proud to say that he is now one of the NDP's new shining, upcoming stars! He is a very hard working young brilliant man and I hope his success in the 905 is contagious! I am dissapointed the NDP didn't get their 20 seats as many predicted. But with all the tight ridings things may swing with 2 or 3 bi-elections that many won't be suprised to here off. McGuinty may still have his majority by this time next year? Actually there was one big loser, and that would be the greens.I am not sure if this election is the final nail in the coffin for them but this one will be very painfull! WWWTT
  6. Or maybe many US networks use Canadian writers. WWWTT
  7. Are you suggesting that the size of a country and its population can affect the human in how it deals with addiction(making the mind more or less prone to this disease)? Looking at how other countries deal with problems is a good thing, but when someone is successful then you must pay attention if you are serious in addressing this issue. WWWTT
  8. Are you sugesting that the politics in Canada and the US actually creates addicts? Or the environment(weather and climate)can somehow affect humans to be more susceptible to an addiction? WWWTT
  9. I believe the similarities far outway the differences. Aswell I believe it is fair to say that there are greater differences within Canada and between Canada and the U.S. you are not addressing. Just because many of us watch "Family Guy" on TV doesn't mean we have the same culture as the US. WWWTT
  10. Wrong Answer! Posting comments on Mapleleafweb is a privelage, not a right! Ask MDancer how his constitutional rights protected him to continue posting comments on this site. WWWTT
  11. This is an ugly thing to write! What makes you so good as to say who deserves help or not? What gives you the right to write such a thing? WWWTT
  12. I believe the unemployment rate in Japan is still much lower than the U.S. WWWTT
  13. Oh OK. And having double digit economic growth and near zilch unemployment has absolutely nothing to do with having a very low crime rate? WWWTT
  14. I don't believe you understand addiction. There are elements in society that leads to addiction, aswell as problems originating from ones childhood, schools or home that can leed to addiction. Lack of self control is only part of the problem. This can be a complicated issue. Also addiction can be many things, weed, cocaine, herion, alcohol, cofee, food, sex, certain types of behaviour, etc etc. Each of which can be harmfull to ones health if it becomes abusive. And harmful to inocent people close to the addict! Case point is the comedian John Candy. He died young because he couldn't eat healthy or put the fork down for a while. WWWTT
  15. You do make one good comment. Case point is China. China has a lower crime rate than the U.S. However China has double digit economic growth for over 30 yrs. Aswell they have per capita 10-20% investment into their judicial system compared to the U.S.(please do not ask me for site,do the research yourself if you question the authentacy, just a ballpark figure I'm quoting) In summary China has a much lower crime rate than the U.S. with a lower investment into their judicial system(expecialy the number of police) combined with very severe penalties. WWWTT
  16. I stand corrected, thanx for the correction WWWTT
  17. I think you meant to say "The unelected educated, experienced and informed overruling the uneducated knee jerk reactionary elected" WWWTT
  18. Ya I checked out those sites again and I can still not find a time frame duration for those costs. Is those costs per year, two years, five or ten? Aswell is the cost of keeping an entire judicial system afloat calculated as an expence of crime? Adding the cost for security, security systems and so on is a liberal addition to the cost of crime.Do you have any evidence that these measures have reduced crime? WWWTT
  19. Ya I checked out a couple of links and there is a wide difference between surveys which leads me to believe that this cost calculation is open to a liberal interpretation. Aswell it appears that many people are dependant on crime to support their livelyhood! If the crime rate was to drastically drop then there would be many high paid civil servants collecting EI. WWWTT
  20. Heres a no-brainer el predicto. After Harpers new justice bills pass, there will be people charged in relation to them. Many of those people are going to stand in court in front of a judge and enter a plea of not guilty. And thats when Harpers new justice laws are going to start costing tax payers big bucks! And thats because in Canada we have this thing called the Canadian constitution, maybe you heard about it. Every judge in Canada must uphold the constitution in every trial(if asked by the defendant). If people are found not guilty(many will be many will not)then judges will then be telling the government to amend or recind the laws. Just like marihuana laws must be reformed in Canada aswell. The longer Harper preaches to us about what is evil in society(smoking weed and prostitution)the more he wastes tax payer dollars! What I don`t like is that the conservatives very well know this, but somehow they think they are doing everybody a favour by wasting tax payer dollars by congesting the justice system with some kind of witch hunt. I wish I could say that this is only my opinion, but if the conservatives do not know how our system works then we are in for some real trouble! WWWTT
  21. Are you saying repeat offenders cost Canada taxpayers 47 billion dollars?I find that hard to believe! Please clarify and add a site to help verify what you are saying. WWWTT
  22. I agree with your fundamentals on this one but Greece has problems for different reasons. WWWTT
  23. Welcome to Harpers' Canada! WWWTT
  24. Every freekin day I must get at least 3-4 pre recorded phone calls from either the liberals or conservatives canvassing votes.None yet from the NDP. Is it me or is this election the freekin worst ever for phone adds?!?! And will this trend continue into the next elections?! I don't like phone adds, even worse are political ones. Maybe I won't even answer the phone until election day! WWWTT
  25. This is a good story! Harper was the one who started this whole thing in the first place so ultimately you have to go back to him and ask why would Harper start this. In my opinion I believe he wants to back track on military spending in light of our now humungous deficit(by the way thanks Harper!) I believe he wants to start demonizing milatry spending to soften public perception towards military cutbacks. WWWTT
