Should Harper Remove Dechert From Caucus?
WWWTT replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I used Mick Jagger as an example of someone who uses their celebrity to their advantage. There are countless more examples in different fields such as politics but the one I used is pretty much acceptable and common knowledge(aswell as far as I know this matter is more of a sexual nature).Political example may be Clinton or Trudeau, but I rather stay away from these because of stirring controversy here. As far as your next comment goes,I was not aware there was a scandal involving the government(Peoples Republic of China or Canada). If there is please elaborate.Thnx. As far as the rest of your comment,if this conservative politician has given away anything confidential or done something against the law then he should be investigated.Anything resulting from the investigation should then be further persued. If he is clear of any wrong doing then whats the problem? Aswell you are making cross analogies that are too far seperated from what has actually occured here to have any relevance with me. However I believe we agree that politicians should not abuse the trust we put in them(or anyone in such positions). WWWTT -
Should Harper Remove Dechert From Caucus?

Did you think I did not read what you had written? It is not against the law to be aroused or intreagued by someone, regardless of race or gender(this is a fact and please do not read too much into this statement). Did you ever consider this possibility? The emails between them that I have heard between them do show he expressed in detail more affection for her than she for him. But if you understood Chinese culture you would know how sexually conservative Chinese people can be(P.R.C). Aswell you do not know either party, their spouces, friends or anybody remotely associated so what you are proposing is speculation and opinion! If this politician was using his position to get into bed with someone then I do not believe he/she is the first. Do you think Mick Jagger or Rod Stewart would have so many lovers if they worked at any other regular job? Is it any of mine or your business that an individual in politics chooses how to conduct their private life? What gets me is that the conservatives would use an issue like this to their advantage if it was a liberal or NDP politician involved. And as far as I am concerned this is another example of hippocrocy the conservative party is famous for! Actually the CBC generates revenue from the private sector through advertising and selling programs and services. Explain that one! WWWTT

Is your wife Chinese?Have you had many Chinese girlfriends? Something tells me the answer is no. But somehow you are now an expert in what a Chinese female looks for in a male companion/mate.Or any female for that matter! By the way my wife is Chinese! WWWTT -

Actually I would love to see the conservative party crumble under the same weight they try to lay on others! WWWTT -

Yep,right up there with Jack Layton getting a massage WWWTT -
I believe that this is an observation that I have made. I also believe it to be a somewhat acurate one aswell(Zachary Young has voiced where he stands). I have never claimed that the CBC was free of criticism nor are they immune from such. The comments I have bein making in this thread are related to this thread(time to defund the CBC) Are you suggesting that I am doing something wrong by not helping the discussion get "off topic"? WWWTT
-
Here is another summary of another observation I have from people making comments on this thread: Anti CBC=pro conservative Pro CBC=pro lib,NDP I guess it is possible there may be some who are pro conservative that are also pro CBC but if there is anyone here who disagrees with this assesment please clarify, thnx. Aswell there is a myth here that is being implied that the private sector broadcasters in Canada are 100% free or independant of/from government grants or tax shelters which equate to a tax payer hand out. Next time you watch a program that has some Canadian content(regardless of what station you are watching the program on) or that has bein filmed in Canada or has some connection to Canada(studios, producers,ACTRA)Watch the credits roll at the end and you may catch a glimpse of a grant provided from the government of Canada or a Canadian province. In light of this fact I have come to the conclusion that I have stated at the begining of my comment! WWWTT

Corporate tax cuts/breaks don't create jobs!
WWWTT replied to CPCFTW's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Wow!Your comparing the Tim Horton's parking lot with the 401! How many fully loaded transports drive at 110km/hr in -20 weather in January through the Tim Hortons parking lot over a 24hr period on the average weekday? WWWTT -
I've read many of the comments on this thread and here is a summary in my opinion(comments against CBC): The CBC is biased because-pro liberal and/or NDP and anti conservative. Because they are pro liberal and/or NDP and anti conservative they are not entitled to tax payers dollars! I have seen much criticism and hard questions directed to the NDP and liberals, but are they the government of Canada? So why should they have to receive an amount of hard line questioning reserved for the governing party? The CBC is doing what proper journalism dictates.Asking serious hard questions to those who are in power. But because the conservatives are in power this is now somehow being biased.Give me a freekin break! Its actually refreshing watching tv that doesn't bend its back over backwards to kiss the ass of the conservative party like Sun tv or CTV! Actually the CRTC should revoke the broadcasting license from Sun tv and CTV for being biased- too pro conservative! If the CBC was biased towards the NDP and liberals it actually would be justified since more people voted for them! WWWTT

What did you do on 9/11, 2001?
WWWTT replied to scouterjim's topic in Canada / United States Relations
I was roughing in the plumbing for a new house in Mississauga just west of Pearson int. Chester(colluege) came into the house with his Dewalt job site boom box and turned it on.After listening to what happened he said "We're going to war!" WWWTT -
Actually this thread's entertainment value has faded away(kind of sad really). But feel free to have the last word. The more crazy and absurd the better! Tell you what,if you make up a comment that is so flippin whacked out and spun I'll keep debating in this thread,if your comments fail to produce the usual creative-head scratchin-where did that come from responce from me then I've moved on. WWWTT

Please tell me you will go away now WWWTT

I guess the Oklahoma bombing is not signifigant? WWWTT

I do not believe you are properly reading what I am writing or you are putting words in my mouth! Is "Air India" a Canadian airline?I know "Air Canada" is,along with several others. Now I believe what I have written earlier does not imply any opinion on Air India or Bali(I have not refreshed my knowledge enough to make a strong stance on either topic). However I prefer to remain indifferent on these two other related topics so that I may change or remain nuetral in my opinion. As far as your "Harper walking on eggshells" comment goes I can see you won't be an ambassador any time soon! WWWTT
-
I am sorry but you are making an assumption without checking.Do your homework and you will find your answer! Yes someone a few pages back did make this implication and I was commenting on it.But for some reason the only responces I get back just keep getting more and more rediculous. If you can not provide a logical explanation than please save yourself the embarassment and do not make a comment that tries to make me look dumb.Just move on! WWWTT

Get ready to pay billions for hydro pensions
WWWTT replied to PIK's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I believe PIK means CEO pawns.Or regular joes who for some reason feel some kind of urge to defend someone who gives a ratts ass about them! Its actually a valid statement PIK makes! WWWTT -
Hey now just hold on a second here!I had never claimed that Air india(1984)was not an intended Canadian target or Bali.Nor did I intend to claim that Canada was never a target for terrorism. I do not like it when people in Canada automatically assume that when the US or Britain go to war that somehow Canada must go along into "their" war. Was it Canadas' foriegn policy that helped contribute to the attacks of 9/11? However since Harper has bein in power he has bein lets say "inviting criticism from Islamic extremists" with his comments and stance towards /directed to the Arab nations. Canada use to be more balanced and unbiased and yes that has changed for the worse thanks to Harper and the conservatives. If you sincerely believe that Canada is in danger from any threat originating from an Arab/muslim nation-Thank Harper! WWWTT

Man that freekin comment you made cracked me up so much I can barely write this response! I had asked what can someone possibly carry in their shoes that can cause a plane to collide into a tall structure and you tell me "I don't get out much" Thats your freekin answer? Man thats freekin hallarious! What do you do for a living buddy? WWWTT
-
Since these attacks did not occur in Canada, and the targets did not belong to Canada it would be safe to say that Canada(ians) were not the intended target.Unless you have hard evidence then your opinion is only that-your opinion! WWWTT
-
And how many "intended" Canadian targets where in the pentagon? WWWTT
-
Were the Canadian citizens the intended target for the attack in 9/11? You have me at a disadvantage as far as Marc Lepine goes. Please elaborate. WWWTT

Oh I am sorry Mike. No I am not a Muslim,my parents are both Catholic. I should have not assumed your religion.Maybe I should have refrased my comment/reply to yours differently. Actualy I don't like to discuss religion very much because it is more of a personal belief, and it is none of my business to dictate to anyone of their personal beliefs of faith. However there is a conflict because the Islamic religion has become very political intwined/entangled,or at least groups/sects or extremists. This has dragged the entire religion into the spotlight. It is debatable whom on which side is responsible for this. I do not blame the entire religion because of a few bad apples, but does everyone in the west feel as I do? The conflict in me continues still because in Islamic countries that practise with strict Islamic law, many human right violations openly occur.Example would be punishment for theft I believe is the amputation of two middle fingers(Pakistan). And there are many more examples(much more severe). Actually maybe I will stay away from this topic because of religous undertones. WWWTT

What can anyone possibly have concealed within their shoes that would cause an aircraft to veer of course and collide with a tall structure? WWWTT

Thats because your faith is not Islamic WWWTT
