Reps is short for an employee representative. If any employee has a complaint or concern they can approach their shop stewart or rep confidentialy. The union is independant from management and can conduct its own investigation without any interference from management(theoretically). This is an important level of protection required for employees in an high stress work environment. This harassment case is as widespread as a result of the lack of any union representation(in my opinion). WWWTT

This story seems to be getting bigger every day! More and more woman are now coming forward with allegations of sexual harassment. I wonder if the RCMP were allowed to unionize or had an organized union at the time to protect the rights of workers if this disgusting conduct would have bein so widespread? I know for a fact the union reps would have dealt with this matter swiftly(when notified).It sounds like management at the RCMP did not take the allegations very serious.Shame on them! WWWTT

Ok looks like there seems to be a common theme here about lack of public support for the OCCUPY movement.And now that a few Canadian cities are successfully dispersing OCCUPY some may believe that this is finaly over? Obviously time will tell. After all these people(OCCUPY) have other matters to attend to.And the coming weather/season is not friendly for public protest in Canada so this was predicted. The question remains still about spring 2012?(Canada OCCUPY) Will there be so much abundant good economic news that OCCUPY Canada won't see the light of spring 2012? This topic deserves its own thread but I will say a few things. What was in question was NASAs claim to have astronauts land on the moon and return to Earth. Sending a projectile to the moon or mars was never in question. Those pictures on the link you provided remind me of the one the pentagon released of the plane hitting on 911. Inconclusive! Oh and by the way did you notice on the JAXA picture there is no shadows on the lunar surface? Guitar,bass and vocals here. Giged alot in the 90's and the fender jazz/peavy amp are long gone now.(too many pot smokers and boozers for my liking) Still got the fender acoustic tuned up in the corner,from time to time I may work on the vox but its hard to keep the vox in good shape(control and range) without regular practice. I agree! However the crown never acts independant or in contradiction or God forbid do something remotely controversial! The crown is so intertwined into our establishment,attempting to remove it would cause a massive deficit in Canada. Actually it can be argued that getting rid of the monarchy(throughout the entire commonwealth) can actually cause a worldwide recession! And if that is the case then you have to wonder that maybe the crown does hold some important value. WWWTT

Do you know what "Independant scientific verification" means? When someone makes a scientific claim,that claim is generaly not accepted until another capable body/agency can verify the results/findings independantly. Good example that was rejected was cold fusion.I am aware of a university(US) that made this claim sometime in the 80's.And after independantly testing the results their claim to cold fusion was rejected. Another good example for this method(and ironic) would be the claim of discovering planets in other solar systems.During the 90's a swiss team made the claim to have discovered planets in a solar system other than our own.Ironicly NASA disputed this claim and asked to independantly verify their claim and methods used.After the Swiss agreed and NASA made its own investigation NASA supported their findings.And since many planets have bein discovered. I believe that no other agency or group has bein able to independantly scientifically verify NASA's claim of the lunar landing! Your welcome to prove me wrong. WWWTT

I believe the point bjre is making is that why should everyone have to recognize daylight savings time because only a few may benefit from it. WWWTT

Heres my opinion and beliefs on this subject. First of all multiculturalism(man thats a hard word to spell) is unique to the so called "new world". Thanks to the fact that the European(Portuguese,Spanish,French and British) destroyed or tryied to erase the current(at the time) native cultures and replace them with their respective cultures. In other words to accept multiculturalism is to accept the fact that people of other than a specific culture actualy exist in Canada. Keep in mind culture is protected in the Charter of rights! The flip side would be that people that are against multiculturalism are against other cultures right to exist in Canada. Now I know thats a strong statement! I believe that the intent of multiculturalism was to take the benifits of all cultures present or focus on the positive contributions,and leave the negative and undesirable attributes behind. WWWTT

I personaly hate it when the hour changes! In China daylight savings is not practiced. My wife tells me that around 20 yrs ago the country tried it but dropped the idea because the problems it created were greater than the benefit! Actually the entire country of China is under one time zone! WWWTT

Let me ask you something,would you consider an election sweep from an opposition party a "overthrow" of the government? Would this result involve the use of violence as in Libya. Did you know that the lunar landings have never bein "independantly scientifically verified" by any other body/space/country agency? In the science world independant verification means everything but I guess for measuring the intelligence of the participants of OCCUPY this is somehow relevant? If they are trying to "overthrow" the government then they would be going about it a completely wrong way. What you are saying does not make sence and when something doesen't add up its false. Can you provide an extensive link about the opinions of many OCCUPY participants,aswell as the peolpe commenting on mapleleafweb that believe this is part of a plot to replace the government. The reason why I ask is because a coup is a very serious offence! And making the accusation should not be done lightly! WWWTT
