I thought the party that has a sitting president automaticlly sends him as their candidate,No? I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Obama. After all there has bein many republicans elected to the senate and congress in 2010 and they haven't bein able to turn the US economy round.There will be much blame to go around and I believe many American voters may still side with Obama after the TV debates. It seems pretty clear at this point Obama is going to be in till 2016. When you have bad candidate after bad candidate getting splattered all over the news time and time again it stains the party hard! Even if the republican party put forward someone half decent I think there is too much damage done to this point to easily wipe clean. And keep in mind Obama is now a political heavy weight. I sincerely doubt the republicans can put someone forward that can go head on with him!So why try? Not in 2012 anyways. WWWTT

This is a little harsh Wild! Actually you would be better off being an Isreali as opposed to a Palistinian if you wanted a better chance at living and quality of life. I actually agree with you! I would point out to the last G20 tape of Obama and the French prez. Netanyahu is somewhat being isolated as a radical. I also point out to the arab spring in many countries.A conflict with Iran can put many things into jepordy.Too many unknows. And then there is China and Russia and the surrounding islamic oil/mineral rich former states of USSR that actually border China. Way too many unknowns and risk. And for what?Isreal has a fear? Not entirely so. Peter McKay did come out and say that Canada supports Isreal and the PM has done so on a number of occasions. And so have other conservatives. This does imply that any further actions taken by Isreal would be backed by Canada. Aswell Canada was part of Afganistan and Libya(military actions) and it is pretty much accepted that if there was a conservative government in place(majority) in 2003 then Canada would have sent troops into Iraq aswell. No I do not believe that this is something dreamt up. It would be very safe to assume that if Isreal does initiate something and the US somehow helps,Canada will be asked to help aswell. Question is if Canada will? Maybe with the US now making it hader for Canada to do business in the US it is possible that Canada may retaliate and tell the US no thanks. I know if Harper does continuing to help while losing trade with the US it will become an election issue! WWWTT

This is a false statement. Partially Land that has already bein rezoned from agricultural to residential or commercial typiclly retails for around 300 000 to 400 000$ per acre app 43 000sq/ft After that land has bein upgraded with services(gas,hydro,water/sewer,phone,cable)roads installed and lots surveyed each lot can retail for over 100 000 each.And there is typically around 6-7 lots per acre after everything is divyed up(on say a 100 acre parcell rezoned from agr. to residential mix of detached,semi and town house). Yes actually this famine thing was caused by a misinformation about protecting crops. It was widely beieved at one time that many different species of birds fead on rice.This is partially true. There was a huge campaign to kill off the birds. This caused the insects that the birds also fead on to rapidly populate unchecked on in turn the insects wiped out the rice crops causing a massive famine. Chairman Mao was not aware that this would be the outcome! Aswell the same beliefs occured here with somewhat similar results. The only difference is that it is covered up here. Actually I recently asked my wife if they have a rememberance day in China. I was suprised by her answer! She told me that they have two! One for the military vets,and another for the victims of war. Which would you think would be more important? WWWTT
