Totally. Plus, Barack Obama is against gay marriage. The strawman BS espoused by the left to some how equate a Muslim zealot with "right winger" is a poor effort at logic. The reason right wingers like to talk about gay marriage and women's rights in the context of a debate about Islam's assimilaion with the west is because it exposes a glaring contradiction: How can a left wing mutli-culti apologist be in favor of "tolerating" backward Muslim views toward women and gays on one hand, yet still say they favour Gay "rights" and women's rights on the other. It's a joyfully hilarious contradiction which, rather than participate in, we right wingers are content to watch with amusement on the sidelines.

Iran has provided both Hamas and Hezbollah (terrorist groups) with the most advanced weapons it possibly can for over 30 years with impunity, shipping those weapons through syria to the ultimate destination. hese groups are essentially proxies for Iran and have used every weapon that has been made available to them. Iran hates Israel and has a stated goal of eliminating Israel from existence and it's proxies both Hezbollah and Hamas have consistently an publically shown a penchant for continued violence even in the form of suicidal attacks on innocent jewish civilians. WIth this history, I find it laughable that someone would question the validity of fearing a nuclear Iran. Given both Hezbollah's Hamas' and Iran's well documented history of "walking the walk" when it comes to using every weapon at it's disposal, not just talking the talk, the question isn't "what makes you think Iran would use nukes on Israel", but rather, either directly or by giving nuks to it's proxies: "what makes you think they wouldn't?"

I think Mark Steyn once summed up this kind of ironic situation best (I believe before this actual real life situation took place) when he said (paraphrased): "For all those apologists who extoll the virtues of the "downtrodden" Islamists, if you ever did show up at their cave, they'd saw your head off before you had a chance to say "but I'm on your side"" Perfect.

Again, this isn't a debate about socialism or capitalism. It's about the biases on campuses. Obviously you have no clue. Take a moment and think about it, then address the topic at hand. There are other (countless) thread on which to debate the merits of political or economic philosophies. This is a thread dealing with the behaviors and tyrannies (or lack thereof) of those who espouse certain philosphies. Do you have the ability to distiguish the difference? This thread is getting warped toward yet again a discussion about socialism versus capitalism, and thanks to the recent recession all the dead and buried marxists are all coming back out of the wordwork for one last hurrah. It's not a difficult puzzle to piece together guys. Most muslims hate jews. There are ever more increasing numbers of Muslims in europe, also becoming ever more aggressive and confident, making the day to day lives for jews in europe ever more hostile. Now substitute the words "gays" and "women" for "jews" in the above statement and you've got a pretty clear picture of the future of europe. I've been posting about this stuff on this website for years. It's good to see that others are finally catching up. Just think, in about 10 years (by the time it's too late), some lefties might actually catch on - that is, if their not doing their very best "Obama" impersonation, running around apologizing to and praising Islam.

Your reply may have ben relevant a few decades ago. But in the wake of Obama's victory (thanks in large part to universities), we're looking at $10 trillion in unprecedented government programs to fund education health care etc. plus the nationalizaton of many key industries, I think you'd be rethinking your reply. Obama is Canada's trudeau and they'll be paying for it for generations. Taxes are going up, so is government funding for myriad of programs. Your response, again, is dated by the unprecedented actions of a President elected largel;y by on-campus participation. Watch the movie.

I have spent many years on campus earning my own degrees and have also spent many years in the "real world" with business people and income earners. Has anyone seen this exceptional documentary "Indoctrinate U"? I suggest for anyone interested in politics that you have a look. This young filmmaker films his documentary in "Michael Moore" style (for lack of a better description), but, refreshingly, instead of Moore's predictable "tyranny of the right" schtick, the filmmaker in this doc does a really god job of portraying the "tyranny of the left" on campuses around the country. This is an interesting study because of (a) the simple reality and exposure of what's going on on campus these days and ( because the right wing has, until now, had a very tough time exposing the VERY REAL tyranny of the left that exists in man venues throughout today's western world. I find this left wing fetish involving islamism quite an interesting study in psychology. The pathology goes something like this. See, liberals are supposed hate "violence" or "war". But in many instances, they seem to find it acceptable if committed by islamists. Examples include many academics' assertion that the US "brought 9-11 onto herself". Other examples include any rocket firing by Palestinians. Of course I could go on. Now how does a pacifist lefty reconcile favouring the kind of violence committed by Islamists? Easy. Because it's "understandable". How is it "understandable"? Because there is one thing lefties hate even worse than violent conflict: AMERICA. Just the very idea of it makes them set fire to things in the streets. So in reality, left wingers and Islamists have a kinship: the hatred of AMERICA. In fact, I know many left wing academic types who have actrually converted to Islam. And when you think about it, it makes perfect sense, because Islam is the "new" USSR. It's the new "anti america" symbol to which all AMERICA haters can gravitate. It's a very intriguing pathology, and makes itself quite evident on a thread like this one.

Obama. $3.5 TRILLION dollars. That's 3 times more than the Iraq war....over 6 YEARS! And he's only been on the job 5 weeks. I think I speak for every free-born active participant of the free world's economy when I say: Oh My God. The entrepreneurial wealth creating bastion US just became Trudeaupian Canada overnight.
