Yeah..... No time did I blame the global recession on the Ontario Liberals. I am not gonna claim our growth is because of them. I think it is likely in spite of them
-
So you feel that when unemployment is up and businesses are running away it is a good time to raise taxes and raise the cost of doing business? What happened to the 600,000 jobs the HST created http://www.thestar.com/news/ontario/2009/11/16/hst_will_create_jobs_not_kill_them_mcguinty_says.html You don't think this government would not be jumping up and down screaming "Look at us, We did something right!!!!!!!!"
-
Fair enough
-
I could not agree more. Yes by the law of averages the Liberals were bound to do something right eventually and were long over due. Paying for secondary education is tax dollars well spent. Damn sight better than the "Green Energy Act" and will help a lot more people.
-
Even if I were to take that at face value. Which I don't because your lack of proof. Who has raised the highest dept combined with raising taxes at the same rate as the Government of Ontario?
-
Don't remember any other governments raising taxes at the rate the Ontario Liberals did.
-
It has not been a good ride for the Liberals

blahahahhahahahahaha You made a funny. Every party knows that selling Hydro one is a bad call. Even a Conservative like me knows it is a bad call JUST LIKE SELLING THE 407 ( I can admit when my guy's screw up) That money will be used to artificially kill the debt (Just like the 407 did) while Wynne can campaign on balancing the budget. This cap and trade is about a tax grab and not the environment.
-
It goes with the trend for the Ontario Liberals. Run an election and say thy will not raise taxes. http://www.torontosun.com/2015/04/18/kathleen-wynne-keeps-a-promise Wynne also promised to be more open and transparent, but just last week announced a cap-and-trade carbon pricing system for Ontario that will, according to what the Liberals told the Globe and Mail, cost the public up to $2 billion annually, which she never mentioned during the campaign. Indeed, Wynne denied right after her election that she was planning a carbon tax. Her logic in defending her decision last week was that cap-and-trade isn’t a tax, a distinction without a difference since both raise the cost of living, cap-and-trade through higher prices, a carbon tax through higher taxes. I thought Ontario would never do worse than Bob Rae. I was wrong. Congratulations Queen Wynne may your reign end quickly

Never thought it would be. But I have little doubt it will be made even more difficult by government bureaucracy all for the sake of "social responsibility" Right now I do not think anybody here would have any problem going out and buying pot. Dealers are not picky about the age or where it is sold. I am sure nobody is happier than the local drug dealers that this will take years if ever pot is to be legalized.

Let the era of excuses begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Following in McGuinty's foot steps of "It is not my fault" If I am not mistaken JT has many of the Ontario Liberal staffers working for him now

Protest against the LCBO -- Liquor Control Board of Ontario
Ash74 replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Weed will not be the cash windfall that some expect. It will have to be cheaper and better compared to what is sold on the street. No easy task when you combine government bureaucracy into the mix -
Your right. I was wrong. Didn't think that average was right. I thought it was higher than it is.
-
Your numbers are off. I do not know where you got this chart but it is wrong http://www.ontario-hydro.com/index.php?page=current_rates

I personally think with the information so far, that these ladies are the ones guilty of setting back the initiatives for battered women to come forward.
-
No it does not. But it is also the alleged assault. He has not been found guilty.

After watching this i was disgusted with the prosecution in this case. Brenden should not only have a retrial plus the confessions should be thrown out and His first lawyer should be disbarred. I am a hang high kinda guy but was just sick for that poor young man. Even if guilty I do not believe he knew what he was doing. Stephen's case just screamed cover up. "The Key" found by the very police that had him convicted wrongly 20 years earlier. Where was the blood? Where was the evidence she was killed in the garage? I was shocked how badly this was done. I understand we are seeing the one side of the story and of course it was very much shown in a favorable light towards the Avery family but damn that was a mess

Charges finally laid in the Ontario Gas Plant Scandal
Ash74 replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
You did notice that he was elected to be an MP? I do not know how long Harper will stick around or really care. He is after all a politician and as you pointed out he does not need the money. As far as Wynne being so upstanding http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/opp-seizes-ex-mcguinty-staffers-email-records-after-executing-search-warrant-at-ontario-government-it-office You know she is the one who stated it was politics that closed down the plants right before the election to save some seats. The opposition parties were not the ones that put the plants there. McGuinty stated he found out about them after the building had started. So he is either lying (He is famous for it) or incompetent (also famous for being guilty of that). Take your pick and feel free to post any excuses you wish http://www.thestar.com/news/insight/2015/11/21/dalton-mcguinty-says-moving-gas-plants-was-the-right-thing-to-do.html -

I ask the same. http://www.ottawacitizen.com/news/dalton+mcguinty+where/8506033/story.html What is the difference? Where is your rage and venom that you show for Harper? -

Ash74 replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Gonna have to call pot/kettle here. We all saw you jump on the Duffy trial and like a fat kid on a smartie you had long decided Harper was guilty. Your defense of the gas plant cancellation is very clear even with the present Premier admitting it was pure politics involved. But what does she know. http://www.thestar.com/news/queenspark/2013/02/28/wynne_admits_scrapping_gas_plants_was_political_decision.html -
Charges finally laid in the Ontario Gas Plant Scandal
Ash74 replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
No it would not. I have little respect for politicians but I have no respect for those politicians that fall under the Liberal banner. Combined with my complete contempt for the governments that have ran this province under McGuinty and Wynne and the contempt that they have shown to the people of this province you are correct. It does nothing to increase that contempt. -
Charges finally laid in the Ontario Gas Plant Scandal
Ash74 replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
I do not think the canceling of the gas plant was a crime. That was pure pandering for seats. Abuse of power for sure but not a crime. The erasing of files for a change in government is business as usual. What I would like to know is how often does the government bring in another person to quietly erase all emails and data hard drives even after a standard delete is done to ensure these files can never be reviewed. -
Charges finally laid in the Ontario Gas Plant Scandal
Ash74 replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Because for some it is a much bigger crime for a Conservative to cover up a miss use an expense account and try to pay it back than it is for a Liberal to waste hundreds of millions of dollars and try to erase emails that could expose the fact it was for buying votes.
