  1. As been said before, Trudeau didn't want the details coming out in court. When he says he had "no choice", he was right - in a way, just not in the way that you liberals believe. he was faced with exposing Chretien, Martin and his new poster boy Khadr for what they are. Fact is; Khadr had Trudeau over a barrel, not legally, but politically.
  2. Wow, a somewhat thought out point from eyeball.
  3. Personally, I like the lack of moderation.
  4. Why would you assume that these "war game" scenarios have anything to do with Palastinians?
  5. Yeah, it does sound like fun!
  6. Because I've listed to your arguments, I have to believe that Bissonette in not a terrorist, just a solider of some unnamed group. If we look hard enough, we may even find some victim status for him.
  7. It's all just splitting hairs, Khadr is no different than the scumbags from the Bataclan, Grande concert or any of the other radical islamic attacks of the last 20 years- simple as that!
  8. I think spell check changed "goof" to "good", after that it all makes science.
  9. There's a great irony here: Those who believe that Khadr was mistreated, you would think would be the ones wanting government and security malfeasance exposed at a trial. But we're not demanding heads on spikes. Those who believe Khadr was an unrepentant 'terrorist' seem to be the ones demanding a trial ... that would only expose government and security malfeasance. IE, they'd get the wrong heads on their spikes. Lol I doubt that ANY government, party or security establishment really wants Khadr's settlement to be fought further in court. Just a lot of empty sabre rattling now, and words of the disgruntled who don't really understand the implications. I've never been fond of sweeping things under the rug when it comes to political issues. I think a trial would've have provided some answers to issues that we will certainly face in the future. As it is, the gov't is told "don't do it again" and everything will be fine, but what about next time we deal with a homegrown terrorist?
  10. Probably just a coincidence. You know, like the 50 or so people who had dirt on the Clintons and ended committing suicide or dying in a botched robbery.
  11. We clearly need a point by point list of facts, otherwise Omni is just gonna keep his head in the sand - probably would anyway...but!
  12. We're gonna run into more and more domestic Islamic terrorism. I think this case should alert us that we need to update some laws in order to deal with this. I think we now see the "loopholes" in our legal system. We could start by updating our treason law.
  13. Which question would that be?
  14. I agree, and it should be fairly easy considering that Trudeau is telling us he just saved $40mil. by settling the Khadr case..
  15. You know, I like to pop a Viagra when sitting in the ER waiting room.  You tell the nurses you've been erect for 4 hours and they have to check out your junk.

  16. Jacee has a crush on Omar!
  17. Well, i never said take away medical from inmates, but that's what you read. I'm not using this case, i'm clearly saying - going forward - but you didn't understand that either. Nobody has tried punishing the son for crimes of the father - you invented that! I never said anything about compensation -I think Arar, Milgaard and the rest deserved it, but that post never brought any of that into question. Nice work!
  18. I didn't say he will be, I said he should be. What a difference one small word makes to sentence. No, I think he closer to getting the "Order of Canada" than he is getting charges levied.
  19. 3 actually have evidence, and even at that, most of the evidence has come from DNC information. No one from any intelligence service has inspected the DNC servers, so.... Not saying they didn't hack the DNC, but the evidence is not quite as concrete as the media would lead us to believe.
  20. So, he wasn't in any army, but he was a solider? If he was a solider, and it wasn't for Canada or any other organized nation, then it was for a terrorist group - which makes him an "unlawful combatant". And even if he was a solider, being Canadian, he should face treason charges. "Under s46 of the Criminal Code, a person commits "high treason" who a) kills, attempts to kill, wounds, imprisons, or restrains the sovereign, wages war against Canada or does any act preparatory thereto, or c) assists an enemy at war with Canada or any armed force against whom Canadian forces are engaged in hostilities, even if no state of war exists. The punishment for high treason is life imprisonment, without parole eligibility for 25 years. A person commits "treason" who a) uses force or violence for the purpose of overthrowing the government of Canada or a province, discloses, without lawful authority, military or scientific material to agents of a foreign state, if he or she knows or should know that the material may be used to impair Canada's safety or defence, or c) engages in certain listed conspiracies or attempted offences. The punishment for treason is life imprisonment; normal parole rules apply. Canadian citizens and persons owing allegiance to Her Majesty in right of Canada who commit acts of high treason or treason are punishable under Canadian criminal law even if the acts were performed outside Canada."
  21. There has to be a point in which your Canadian rights are taken away or severely diminished. There obviously isn't one now, but in this day and age, we can't (like europe) get into a position where we have obvious "unlawful combatants" coming home from fighting ...us and getting a job, going on pogey or using our medical system to recover. It's insanity. Once it's known that someone has travelled off and fought against us or our allies - brown people...and yes, whites too, they should have their passport revoked and put on the next plane back, in the case that that is not possible, there should be treason charges levied upon arrival. I think the idea of; "Don't go away and fight against us, but if you do, we'll give you medical and a big fat cheque", may not be effective.
  22. Clearly he was an "unlawful combatant". All we can hope is that the Americans and Canadians toughen up a bit and leave no survivors -- regardless of age.
  23. If you tell me what it was about that post that you didn't understand, I'll gladly apologize. The problem is; you misrepresent every single post. I used to think maybe it was intentional in order to make a point, but you don't ever make a point. You have 4000 posts and the only point you've ever made is that you hate Trump and you agree with the courts decision on Khadr. I like to have grown up discussions, and that mostly causes for disagreement - that's a good thing, but dude, you've not doing it intentionally - are you? I don't know your diagnosis, but I can guess as where the issue lies, so please, if you don't understand something, seriously slow down and read it again. Go ahead and disagree and put forth a point, it would be apprieciated more than this "silly bastard" routine. I know that I'm not the only one getting exasperated with this.
  24. Look, if he cant understand a post, that's on him. It's infuriating having to spell out or hope that somebody like OMni can properly read and understand what is written.
  25. You're a dummy!
