  1. Of course you do realize that the "counter-protest" only helps bring awareness to the initial protest - right?
  2. Trump didn't draw a moral equivalency, not by any stretch - that's just more media crap. The only equivalency that Trump even alluded to was that both sides showed hate, intolerance and violence toward the other. The only thing Trump is saying is that the left weren't the peaceful do gooders that the press would have us believe. It's the media that spun that into a moral equivalency.
  3. Yes, it is a fact that someone was murdered, no one defends the POS that did that, however it doesn't change the other facts. It doesn't change the fact that the alt-left came down to squelch free speech, or that they came with obvious intent to brawl, it doesn't change anything about their behaviour since the inception of BLM and Antifa, that goes back before Trump was even a thought. What if there was no murder last weekend? Would you be on the side of free speech? No, you wouldn't, because fundamentally you believe in "the ends justify the means"...and that has never been acceptable the modern western society. This asshole driving his car was the best thing that has happened to alt-left movement. I said it before, The left will push and push and when something goes bad, they'l claim "victim status".
  4. He doesn't defend them. Saying they were not the only ones involved in violence is not defending the WN's. He might be trying to defend their 1st amendment rights, because they still do have rights. You guys are going ballistic because you want him to side with mob justice and he can't - and he shouldn't. Just because Obama jumped onto a side, doesn't make it right. He's condemned the violence, knows there's a problem and should work to fix it, he shouldn't be willfully fuelling the fire of vigilantism or of hate. That was the last president.
  5. So, you would clearly agree that if a larger group of people showed up and destroyed a monument to Malcolm X, MLK, or painted over a rainbow crosswalk, that would be justified based on the number of people involved?
  6. I'm curious what happens next time, are the WN's refused a permit because the city or town knows the Antifa and BLM folks will intervene and start a riot? What will happen at the next BLM rally? Will the WN's show up and spoil things as they had happen? Is this the beginning of the end for group assembly? If one group cannot rally without their counterpart showing up to beat people for their views, where is this going?
  7. I admit, I don't know much about Soros, so I keep away from that, however, one has to be suspicious of the fact that the politicians/cops allowed a brawl to happen. One would think that it was a calculated decision...and if it was, it worked out perfectly.
  8. The comparisons from the far left point of view is actually similar. The left wants Jackson taken off of their currency. As Trump said, where does it stop? Well, for the leftists, it doesn't.
  9. No one is saying that, not even Trump. The media is trying to make a false equivalency to label Trump a racist - it's quite tranparent. People are saying that the violence came equally from both sides. Just because one side has a philosophy that is less socially acceptable doesn't mean that the other side is without fault.
  10. I'm sure Trump had no idea that part of his presidency would require speaking against the rights of groups to assemble and demonstrate in public.
  11. Of course he's ruined. I just think that it doesn't really matter the charges because...well, like you said, he's ruined. The only reason to move to first degree is if they want to press for death penalty - otherwise, he's pretty much gone for life anyway. You want to argue for pre-meditation, but I've seen "Lock-up...." and most of these situations are 2nd degree murder. About Trump, he's gets asked the same question 50 times in the hopes that he may say the wrong thing or leave room for confusion - the media disregard his solid answers and quote his "not good enough" answers, try and find "dog whistles" - it's quite tiring. The bottom line is; Trump thinks Duke is a racist and clearly he has always thought that.
  12. First off, Trump disavowed Duke many times throughout the election. It was the media buzz for awhile, everyone tried trapping him on that one - I'm not surprised that his answers weren't good enough, when are they? As for the murder, it was committed in a moment of rage, a crime of 'passion" even. There is no evidence that it was pre-planned. I get why everyone on the left wants "terrorism", but the charge of 2nd degree is appropriate. He might have killed many more, but he's gonna get 30+ years, so what does it matter?
  13. Good grief, is this gonna be your new word? You're getting as one dimensional as hot enough or Omni.
  14. ...or in the resistance of right wing goals. You know that word "resist". The dog whistle that Obama, Clinton and the rest of the dems are using as they sit back and laugh their asses off at scene's like this.
  15. I dodn't say that the Nazi's had no weapons, Kimmy's post and my response was directed at that photo. Everybody had weapons. WhyTF do you think every leftist in the crowd was wearing a back pack? What do you suppose they had in there?
  16. I'm not defending anybody. I think when you learn to read, you'll see that. I don't like the snake and have no sympathy for the rat either. My issue is simply that I don't think that Antifa or BLM should be off the hook either - do you get that or should I say another way for the 10th time.
  17. For me, this brawl was the equivalent of Rosie O'Donnell, Al Sharpton and Alex Jones getting into a bitch slap. Everyone who was there knew there would be violence, they all punched their ticket and then they all got in the ring.
  18. Of course you know those are all defensive items. Don't see any weapons in that picture. As an edit - what you describe is actually 2nd degree murder.
  19. The problem isn't with Trump, the problem is that Antifa and BLM and the other leftist groups have aligned and become empowered by the media. These leftist groups have been getting consistantly more violent with every rally.
  20. The key word here is "counter-protest". You see, the White Nationalists and far right groups have been protesting for years - way before Trump. So, what makes this protest any different? what made this protest violent? The WN's got their permit and arranged the protest just like every other time. The problem is clearly the"counter protest", if they had not bothered to inject themselves, had they not cornered the WN's, had they not followed them making targeted attacks, then no violence would've happened. The WN's would've had their protest and no one outside Charlottesville would've even know it happened. The new problem is gonna be this; the media and many politicians have again let the far left protestors off the hook completely - based on nothing more than they don't like the message from the group they attacked. We're not judging right and wrong based on actions, we're judging based on who's point of view the media and local politicians agree with. "We hate Nazi's, so it must have been their fault". This is the way it was when Bernie people would show up at Trump rallies and start fights - the narrative was always "Violent Trump supporters". This spells really bad news for the next rally or speech from someone on the right. The media and politicians have given expressed permission for the left to act this way and it's gonna get way out of hand. I don't think I've seen even one incident with people on the right showing up to cause trouble at a leftist rally.
  21. The charter of rights and freedoms protect every one of us...even when it is uncomfortable - Some dude with great hair
  22. Yes, somebody was killed. Nobody here condones the action of that guy - those are facts! Other facts are thus; The Antifa group came looking to start trouble. The Antifa group, if you watched the live stream were the aggressors nearly every time there was an outburst. Every rally, speech or gathering of those who Antifa disagrees with, ends up in rioting. Sorry, I have no love for the White Nationalists, but they have their rights and should be left to demonstrate just as we accept the "Pride" groups and the "BLM" groups - among others. I'm sure I'm not the only one who sees the irony in the "anti-fascist" group travelling around beating up people at rallies that they don't support.
