  1. Do you have any idea how inadequate you make women feel when for one reason or another if she can't breast feed? Do you know the pressure you breast feeding fanatics put on new mothers? Do you know that a big source of post partum depression is mothers feeling guilty and inadequate because they can't breast feed and hence properly bond with their child because of BF fanatics telling them so. No!
  2. Do you remember saying this; If we were to allow men to take early parental leave instead of the mother, then this would have a direct impact on the baby's health if breast milk had to be sacrificed for this to happen.
  3. My question is; why did she take the first punch?
  4. This is the first time i wholeheartedly agree with you!....maybe i'm wrong.
  5. And with all this reasoning it still comes down to about 84% women and 8% men taking full custody with the remainder being shared. And, there is no bias? Where else would we ever see numbers like this and completely disregard any idea of bias?
  6. So, who is the primary caregiver when both parents work?
  7. So Cybercoma, you agree with statement then! Custody goes to the woman by default. The man must prove (and they never can) that the woman is unfit (which never happens). I'm glad we agree, because WCR and OGFT had a big hairy shit fit when I posted it the first time.
  8. It will be interesting. We have a white female, racist, drunken aggressor who takes a punch at a black guy. The question is; does being a drunken aggressive racist (who punched a black guy) get cancelled out because she's a female? If so, should blacks be angry, should men, is this white privilege or female privilege?
  9. That girl clearly had too much to drink. I will say, she can a punch though. The big winner will be Red Bull.
  10. So, in short, if you are a man who works to earn a good living for your family while you wife stays home, you're screwed.
  11. This article is from 2005, so the numbers are a little outdated. The top 10% is now about $70k and top 5% are now at about $90k. The percent of revenue paid to the federal government is pretty much the same though. See link at bottom. Top 5% of income earners pay 39% of taxes The top 5% of income earners pay almost 40% of the money Ottawa collects in personal income taxes, according to new information from Statistics Canada. BY NATIONAL POST APRIL 27, 2005 STORY PHOTOS ( 1 ) The top 5% of income earners pay almost 40% of the money Ottawa collects in personal income taxes, according to new information from Statistics Canada. The federal statistics agency recently released a study showing the upper 10% of income earners in 2002 -- those who were paid more $64,500 -- provided 52.6% of the federal government's revenue from personal incomes taxes, up from 46% in 1990. Further data provided to the National Post shows the proportion of income tax paid is skewed even more for the top half of that 10%. People who earned more than $82,700 in 2002 -- the top 5% -- put 39.1% of the personal income-tax revenues in federal coffers. In 1990, that 5% paid 32.2% of total income taxes. That group also had the highest effective tax rate -- 17.69% in 2002, compared with an average rate of 11.18% for all those who paid income taxes. Craig Alexander, senior economist with TD Bank Financial Group, said the numbers are not surprising. "I would expect that if you were to cut the data even finer, and go from the top 5% to the top 1%, I think you'd find the trend is there -- that the proportional tax system creates a system where higher-income Canadians will pay a far greater percentage of the total government tax revenues." Mr. Alexander said it was "striking" that the study identifies the top 10% of earners as those who were paid more than $64,500 in 2002. "That is an eye-opening observation," he said, noting it raises the question of "whether or not the tax system is sufficiently discriminating if the top tax bracket is kicking in at such a low level." The Statistics Canada study noted people in the top 10% bracket saw the smallest drop in their effective tax rate between 1990 and 2002, while the share of federal taxes paid by people in the bottom 50% of income earners dropped substantially. The lower half of Canadian taxpayers accounted for 6.7% of federal taxes in 1990 and 4.4% in 2002. John Williamson, president of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, said the rise in the tax burden on high-income earners is a result of "all the talk in Parliament about only reducing taxes for low- and middle-income Canadians." "No one is calling for relief for those people who really do fund the bulk of government programs and services," he said. "We have to get those top marginal rates down across the board, but that should mean we do not exclude the top earners." http://www41.statcan.gc.ca/2008/3868/ceb3868_002-eng.htm
  12. Two different sentences! I never said anything was the woman's fault and I never said that they are all junkie whores, simply that IF a woman was a junkie whore, she'd still almost certainly get custody. At least be honest - or maybe you just can't comprehend.
  13. Now, that's the spirit!
  14. I Didn't say that!
  15. I'm in that 10% and i'm not obscenely wealthy. In fact, the top 10% contribute nearly 60% of the government federal revenue.
  16. Custody goes to the woman by default. The man must prove (and they never can) that the woman is unfit (which never happens). she could be a junkie whore and she'll be given benefit of the doubt.
  17. So, you really don't get the fact that it's the female ridding herself of the guy more often (way more often) than the guy running out eh?
  18. Not as many as you might expect...or have been told. How many do you suspect actually want to be a part of the kids life, even marry the girl? How many are told to hit the road without even a chance? As I said, people tend to do what works for them.
  19. I don't blame them, I blame a society that has made it easy (almost adventageous) for women to ditch their relationship. A society that say's "we don't need men/fathers".
  20. All i'm stating is that 67% of divorces are initiated by the female - that's not only common sense, it's a fact), add in young couples that don't even get to marriage, and the women that don't ever even want a male partner and one can easily see that being a single mother is almost always by choice. I'm not blaming women, i'm saying that men don't really get a fair chance at being a father - and believe me, most of them really try.
  21. 2/3 of divorces are initiated by women, and the number for unmarried or short term relationships is even higher - what exactly do you need proof of? And why is it "redneck"?
  22. I'm pretty sure she was being facetious.
  23. Well , something that gets lost in the whole "deadbeat dad" hysteria, is that more often than not, we have a man who is all willing to stick it out for the kids sake and try to make the relationship work. Mostly, its the woman leaving the guy (or kicking him out)...and why not, she really doesn't lose anything, and in many cases she gains.
  24. I'm glad you asked because...NO, I don't. Also, they might try to work out their relationships before grabbing a pencil and seeing if it's more lucrative to leave their man. And, this whole mantra of "I want baby, but don't want or need a man/father" should be discouraged.
  25. As Dr. Phil would say; People tend to do what works for them...and that includes single mothers.
