  1. I think it's more realistic to see a white western woman fall for a muslim man.
  2. Wow, you've mentioned the Nat Geo article 3 times already, it clearly had a major impact on you.
  3. You don't think getting $6B in revenue is reason to keep the oil companies working? You don't think that RN and these oil companies worked out a deal that benefits both of them? They bump up the costs, she gets her money and the oil companies keep on keeping on, the taxpayer pays all the costs (mostly middle class - of course), and the NDPer's all applaud her shrewd moves to environmentalism. She'll likely give a lot of the money right back to the oil companies. The oil companies are all applauding the move - what does that tell you?
  4. What exactly are you disagreeing with?
  5. The NDP has gotten in bed with the oil companies. The oil companies aren't paying a dime for this - the taxpayers are. She wants that $6B of tax revenue and as long as the oil companies are around, she'll be able to collect it. The oil companies own her now.
  6. It has nothing to do with "getting over it". Of course I voted Harper, But I'll take Trudeau over Mulcair any day. The liberals were in shambles, they needed a name and an image. Trudeau's name gave them both, thats how a party goes from last place to a majority. Simple as that. It's laughable to think that without the name, the Liberals would be anywhere but last place. That might be a good thing, without Trudeau's name, we might well have an NDP gov't. right now
  7. It's not a curse. He would've been in last place if not for his name. The guy has no experience - nada! He would't even have been made leader of the party if not for his name. The old school press have been waiting for him for years, most of them even said so on election night - c'mon. People are actually comparing him, his name and entity to the Kennedys. Of course it's all about his name. Get real!
  8. Dialamah asked for an example and I gave her one. It's my opinion. As I said, we'll see.
  9. Look, the NDP played the whole "Stop Harper" campaign and the media clearly stumped for Trudeau. Add in the name recognition...and voila! Trudeau never did a thing...and still hasn't.
  10. He's not only grinning the whole time, but it's clearly a rehearsed comment. Whatever, you'll not see it - why would you. He's been all over the world patting his own back and greeting fans. He actually thinks he earned this all on his own.
  11. Are there any credible sources that detail the police involvement?
  12. This, to me is pretty arrogant; Asked by BBC television’s NewsNight program about his famous family name, Trudeau didn’t deny that having had his father Pierre Trudeau lead the country for almost 16 years opened some doors. “I think the way I was raised was that I have to work two or three times as hard as anyone else to walk through that door now that it’s open,” he said. Trudeau then delivered a sharp retort that could be seen as a direct shot at Harper and other Conservative partisans. “There’s an awful lot of people who sort of shrugged and said he has nothing but a name to go on and found themselves slightly bewildered as I left them in the dust,” said the prime minister.
  13. The point is, leaders of other countries are not making policy based on Canada having a dashing young Prime Minister. These aren't teenage girls, they're world leaders.
  14. On page one, we were all in agreeance that the abortion dude was inflicting terrorism, but that wasn't good enough, was it? You just want to pick a fight.
  15. Yeah, I thought I should skip the word in the middle of that phrase.
  16. Remember all that cooperation that was gonna happen with the US and the rest of the world when Obama got elected?
  17. That's kinda random. What in the world posses you people to post these things?
  18. There are two options for India; they don't take our money and continue to do as they very well please...or, they do take our money and continue to do as they very well please.
  19. You and Justin are adorable when you're this naive!
  20. Sorry Kimmy, I'm generally on the right and I have no issue calling it terrorism either. It is a crazy lone wolf type, sort of like the Ottawa thing. But if this dude wanted to terrify people from going to that clinic - then yes, terrorism.
  21. This is my favourite line in the article: Trudeau also said Friday at the Commonwealth that Canada will contribute $2.65 billion over the next five years to help developing countries reduce their emissions and adapt to climate change. India is a country that could qualify for some of that funding.
  22. I'm pretty sure Dialamah is a woman.
