  1. Ontario Auditor General's report is discussed in the link below, which confirms what I said above. This report is from 2016, so very timely. http://www.ontariohealthcoalition.ca/wp-content/uploads/backgrounder-on-hospital-bed-shortage.pdf "Not only has Ontario cut more hospital beds than any other province in Canada, we also now rank at the bottom of international data on hospital beds per population. Compared to 33 countries of the OECD, Ontario is third last in hospital beds per capita, followed only by Mexico and Turkey."
  2. I’ll take the cold in lieu of screwing up little kids lives, causing more suicides, overdoses and murders, and wiping out small businesses.
  3. Apparently this is all about freeing up space for a mere 1200-1500 beds, according to Moore. How pathetic that they could not provide resources to add them. I know for fact that the hospital in my area closed 400 beds in the past 20 years. That’s one hospital in small town.
  4. No, they haven’t said it and you’ve been listening correctly. Government apologists love to stammer out excuses and tell lies.
  5. It’s all we talk about, non-stop 24/7 for two years now. That way it diverts our attention from them and their failures. Yes the ruling classes love Covid-19.
  6. We realize you are generally slow and have difficulty keeping up with more than one variable.
  7. I would use the word “reducing” or minimizing, since it neither stops nor prevents it. Precise use of words not being the acumen of a BubberMiley.
  8. It’s because of Mr. Trudeau. For him this is an opportunity to reshape Canadian society. He loves Covid-19.
  9. It's become a thing of its own, complete with big-money backing and inertia.
  10. "The pandemic" didn't do it. WE did, through mismanagement. Did you know there was supposed to be an emergency plan developed after SARS-1 occurred almost 20 years ago? Just mentioning that in case you want to excuse the government by saying "nobody saw this coming".
  11. Interesting. Of course in 2018 we didn't have the testing and cataloguing system we've built now for Covid, so those numbers are not even directly comparable. Meanwhile we hear that in 2020, "There was NO FLU".
  12. A voice of reason in the wilderness. But we wish the booster would last six months. It's reportedly more like two. Meanwhile, on with the bullshit parade!
  13. Moreover, who is holding these people accountable for their positions? Answer- it is us. We Candians.
  14. The government did a crap job in funding and managing hospitals, and ruined Canada's health care system. The system was already on its knees before Covid. Now they hold our noses to it. No, they're not going to fix health care. You stay home.

I would know whether he  scammed Cerb or if she was lying? Why?

You don't remember what you were talking about?

I guess the cold weather has finally addled your pate.

No, it's just that your literacy is poor and you seem to have trouble expressing yourself with the written word. I was trying to find the insult but it didn't come across as one. Maybe try again or try saying I'm dumb for not understanding what you're trying to say. That might work.

  15. Good one. We already heard about these things a while ago when it came out that anyone who died in hospital WITH covid is listed as having died OF covid. Boges wasn’t listening back then either!
  16. Vaccine does not stop spread
  17. At this point we are ripe for a major catastrophe without being able to provide any effective recourse. Watch out for it.

There has been a considerable loss of skills in technical services and emergency support thanks to Covid. Or rather, thanks to how we HANDLE covid. A lot of senior workers have retired early. Not just in nursing, but in electrical and trades. We also hear about supply problems for spare parts. Production problems, stuff is simply not being made. For example I order parts for work and am told the deliver is 1.5 years. Estimated, not guaranteed. If those parts are mission-critical, we are done.

Imagine if we had an ice storm now like in Montreal in '98. It took them weeks to get power back on in the middle of winter. Hard to solve problems if you can't GET a transformer, let alone find someone qualified to do the work.

That's why. Ask not for whom the bell tolls, Billy.

You're one of those people who takes a dump in his living room and then complains about how dirty it is?

      No. I’m not your mom.

      ;)

  18. You are free to look things up if you have questions. The government is not going to be proud of this of course, and that means hiding information. They failed to support nurses during this crisis, when they are needed most. Whether it be due to mandates or otherwise, this is a failure of management and here now is the result.
  19. Quick, quick. Somebody tell the dunderheads. “People who have recovered from an infection with the new Omicron coronavirus variant may be able to fend off later infections from the Delta variant, according to a new laboratory study carried out by South African scientists.” https://www.nytimes.com/2021/12/28/health/covid-omicron-antibodies-delta.html
  20. A lot of parents just found out they can't go to work because the kids are forced to stay home again. I feel sorry for them.
  21. Certainly the thousands of health care workers who quit exacerbates the problem. It was one of the points raised today, although no one is connecting the dots here. Just too bad.
  22. Never had mine, that's for sure. I remember some members here who self-identify "Conservative" for whatever reason, gushing over Ford when he got "elected". The man is what he is- no prior experience in politics or leadership of any kind. Perfect fit for Ontario, under the federal leadership of another one who is exactly the same as him. So now, Candians shall own the political leadership class they foolishly elected, and even, re-elected. Reap the miserable harvest you have sown, and eat the bitter bread thereof.
  23. Thanks. I added some links to main scream sources. Feel free to peruse. The O My Crom variant is a gift- from Gawd...
