  1. I am just seeking clarification. You choose not to hold NRA lobbyists accountable even though they get paid millions upon millions contributions from gun manufacturers and even a percentage of sales. This is why the NRA needs to be held accountable. They have an agenda that is hidden from millions of parents.
  2. Just as I thought. Let’s leave responsibility to keep kids safe With the schools instead of holding NRA lobbyists accountable. Is that what you are saying?
  3. A post clearly lacking of facts. Until you can provide facts, your post is not worth addressing. Can you please provide stats/facts etc and let’s bring this forum back up a notch or two.
  4. Let’s hear your suggestions to improve gun violence and lifelong psychological and physical injuries from weapons made for warfare. Especially if they took place in the Fraser valley where your children may have attended. Btw 138 school children gunned down since 2014. Let’s tell these parents how Hal will improve these stats
  5. What if they want to go to law school or teachers college or med school. Is that ok?
  6. Yes, women are so stupid as to dress like a bimbo to have men be attracted to them. Are you still living in the 50's ffs. Some of the men on here need to leave the 50's behind.
  7. Who cares. Why do you insist on your heavy handed approach to Canadians commenting on everything American.
  8. I would choose neither unless of course the man wanted the vasectomy. What I would suggest is addressing poverty in those countries which are overpopulated, improve the literacy, provide free contraception, free access to abortion, eliminate early marriage. Change the culture of many of these countries. In India, men are considered the bread winners, so children are produced until a male child is born. Provide equal rights to women. This is a good article that addresses overpopulation in India. It can probably be applied to most over populated countries as well.
  9. Obviously it isn’t but is more violence the answer? Why would you tolerate more of it?

  11. More importantly. More violence is the answer?
  12. He most likely wouldn't be elected today. Times are changing.
  13. Your link is just to an opinion piece. Here are some stats: http://www.drugpolicy.org/sites/default/files/Marijuana_Legalization_Status_Report_101316.pdf
  14. Indeed, just ask the teenagers that Moore preyed upon.
  15. Do you really think Amazon is not good for society. It seems their wages and benefits are better than you make them out to be. https://www.digitalcommerce360.com/2017/08/08/amazon-benefits-recruiting-warehouse-jobs/
  16. What puzzles me is that a lot of the arguments I read here assume that these women in Canada are being forced to wear these garments by their spouses. The fact is that the majority of these women choose to wear them of their own free will. The only thing this bill does is prevent women from riding the bus. But thank goodness. They could be carrying a butter knife.
  17. I'll add some other accomplishments from Trump: Reversing on-campus sexual assault guidelines - the reversal of a directive that forced universities to quickly investigate on-campus sexual assault. Rolling back birth control access - reproductive choices are vital for women's autonomy. Trump mentions "unreasonable limits and restrictions block [girls'] paths to achievement and self-fulfillment." Limiting access to birth control is just that kind of hurdle. Disbanding the White House Council on Women and Girls - Seems kind of hard to shape policy that will help women and girls when you quietly suspend the White House advisory group doing just that. Trump's also put the Department of Labor's Women's Bureau on the chopping block as part of his proposed 2018 budget. Separately, after he took office, the White House website was scrubbed of several pages. While this was a big deal in the climate community since it wiped away mentions of human-caused global warming, women-related pages were also deleted. A fact sheet on the Violence Against Women Act was removed along with a civil rights page. Blocking Planned Parenthood funding Global Gag Rule - makes non-governmental organizations receiving U.S. funds for global health issues prove they don't use their other funding to provide abortions or talk about the option with patients. Halting efforts to track the gender pay gap - Trump stopped an Obama-crafted rule from going into effect that would make companies track payment data based on race and gender. The data was meant to help close the gender pay gap. Women earn about 80 cents to their male peer's dollar. How's that for empowerment. Pulling back federal protections for trans students - Trump pulled back federal protections that let transgender students use the bathroom of their choice. Going further, Trump's Department of Justice, led by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, declared this month that the Civil Rights Act, which prevents employer discrimination, doesn't protect transgender employees. Preventing sexual assault victims from getting their day in court - federal contractors no longer need to make their paychecks transparent (remember the wage gap) and women who complain of sexual harassment or discrimination can be forced into arbitration. That means they can't take their complaints to a public forum, like the courts. Violence against women - Trump has proposed cuts in Justice Department something that could affect ‘Violence Against Women Act’ (a body that serves survivors of intimate partner and domestic violence and supports the efforts to reduce sexual assault). In January, ‘The Hill’ reported that Trump is planning to eliminate the Office on ‘Violence Against Women ‘altogether.
  18. It doesn’t matter. You should NEVER victim blame regardless of age. And don’t bother trying to spin your response.
  19. Its not just the dems who support more gun control https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2017/10/02/politics/bipartisan-gun-control-policies-majorities/index.html
