Dion and his Palace Guard in trouble

Interview with NDP Leader, Jack Layton
Canuck E Stan replied to Greg's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
What business did Jack have living there in the first place? Especially if money was not an issue? His selfishness prevented the next worthy family on the list from having a decent place to live. All the while, Jack could easily have purchased a place or afforded to pay rent outside of the subsidized housing project and still have maintained a residence within the area. That is the "ethical wrongdoing" that people question. -
ALL CANNABIS CANADIANS VOTE GREEN
Canuck E Stan replied to shavluk's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Canadian ferry crews warned against smoking pot Harper doesn't smoke, nor does he need to. And he's totally right in his statement, "Invariably, Mr. Harper said, drug addiction must lead to tragedy" and as Hann said "Public Safety trumps human rights." And about voting Green?..... with representative of the party like Slavluk, not likely. -

Proulx out as Dion's Quebec lieutenant; 2 MPs refuse job,Tuesday, October 16, 2007 Doesn't anybody want to work with Dion? -
finally found it. For those interested: Polls During the 1993 Campaign Seems back then, the PC's and the Liberals played the same game in the poll as they are now, almost evenly split. In a matter of 5 weeks the PC's lost 19 points in the polls, the Reform party gained 9 points, while the Liberals only gained 5 points from the almost even split when the election was called. Without the Reform party being in the picture, would the PC's have won?

That's interesting coming from a staunch Liberal.I was thinking the same thing about Trudeau in Quebec getting a thrashing and not getting in. -

Why would the bending of truth by any Liberal leader surprise you? Liberals are the masters of saying one thing and doing another,it's been proven over and over again.Even when with a total majority. Chretien,Martin,Dion...being the leader in power is the most important issue. It's the Liberal way.

Harper gaining in Manitoba Worth a couple of more seats from Manitoba for the Conservatives.

Same issue with me,although I do like the new MLW Masthead. Having it will make it real easy to check out the whole site more often. Can it be added to the old version?

Conservatives keeping list of Jews
Canuck E Stan replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
If that is truly your objective with this thread, you would have titled your thread - "Conservatives keep lists without people's consent" That, Dobbin, was not your purpose when you started this tread. -
A Fall 2007 Federal Election?
Canuck E Stan replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
What Dion fears most if the fall election doesn't occur, is what will happen in the spring. The Conservatives will present a major tax break in their spring budget, maybe the biggest one taxpayer have seen in decades. With that in the game plan,Dion will do worse after the spring budget, far worse than anything he would encounter this fall. At the same time if the throne speech is defeated,Harper will make these tax cuts sooner than later. I too believe Harper will get a better standing minority or even a slight majority with an election win this fall. Either way Harper and the Conservatives will win,and the Liberals will lose, the election, and maybe even Dion. Tories announce $13.8B surplus, hint at tax cuts -
The move has begun....for the Conservatives in one direction, and for the Liberals in the other.

Conservatives keeping list of Jews
Canuck E Stan replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You've really found a good one today Dobbin, and I don't care for your choice of words in the title of the thread. I can see your concern for retaining personal privacy But being the hardcore Liberal you are, make sure you exploit it to the limits, it'll make you happy,...and it sure will increase your posting numbers today. Lets hope it leads to greater diversified membership for the Liberals as the numbers are dying. Happy Thansgiving Day.....oh,......sorry, if I offended you. -
And who will the public see as the cause of keeping the government from doing it's job?
