  1. Unless the 25 million acres is all your bong weed stuff, what does one pot plant or a billion plants for that matter have to do with this thread. If you have habits and issues with marijuana drivel, why not start a new thread or carry on with an old one, and not highjack this thread. Your smoking habits and marijauna have nothing to do with the 25 million acres.Focus your thoughts for once.
  2. Canada's Next Great Prime Minister competition?.......haven't seen the list, but I bet any one of them have a better chance of becoming PM,yet alone the greatest PM, than Stephane Dion. Dion wouldn't have a chance since he doesn't even have a policy to debate.
  3. What's disappointing is that this thread, being about a huge conservation area, had to be highjacked into a global warming topic that doesn't have anything to do with the topic being discussed.Maybe a new thread about the topic you are relating to should be started. The good news, and there is only good news in this story,is that the national park would fulfil and expand an initiative first proposed in 1970 when Liberal Pierre Trudeau was prime minister. Some 37 years later, after so many governments, especially Liberal governments who have claimed to be environmental and green had an opportunity to do something but only sat on their hands and did nothing. One stroke of a pen and Harper made it what it should be, a sanctuary.
  4. I bet when you lost it at the finish line..... it was by mere inches.
  5. Dancer, I think I found one. Can Viagra be considered recreational drug? -CES
  6. A couple of points. First, your national pride is showing through when you're concerned about the cost of paying metal winners. I guess you assume they will win lots of metals to be worried about the cost. What if they don't win any? What's the cost then? Second point, teams like the men's hockey teams made up of professional players are always in the metals. You know the guys who are paid millions. Should they be denied the winnings? Maybe they could give their metal money to their favourite charities. The earning of metals at the Olympics by an athletes is not a given, and to earn $20,000 for a win is an added reward,I say good. This win has taken the athletes at least four years to prepare for this event and $20,000 amounts to pittance.
  7. The title of Weston's article is misleading, Mulroney did not say "Silliest thing I have ever done" The article makes references to the former PM's official spokesman, Luc Lavoie who in an interview was asked the question "Is Brian Mulroney happy that he did what he did by accepting cash from this guy?" Lavoie answered with "The answer is, no. He would say, 'It's the silliest thing I have ever done in my life.' But ...it's not illegal." He "would say".....but didn't These were Lavoie's words not Mulroney's. The editor who wrote the headline should get his knuckles rapped.
  8. Some have too much time on their hands, others are actually compensated financially by writing opinions. Others who have so much to say and time to do so, write blogs to express their opinions.
  9. Once again the arrogance comes through, you can guess what you want but don't start telling the folks here about what you plan for this forum, or when you won't be seeing people,.... and it's not about the threads, it's the " I plan to do" crap that you present to everyone here. Do you run this forum? You should remember that you are just j.dobbin.....no one different than the rest of us, stop trying to be above those who participate here. Planning for year end for the this forum........give me a break.
  10. Who cares what you may do.Others may not want it. Like a true arrogant Liberal, you seem to think that what you plan means something. Guess what? Your big end of year plans for this forum means little because of one thing......this isn't J.Dobbin's forum. The topics posted will be by the forum community and it will happen at the year's end by the forum community. It won't be based on Dobbin's future plans for forum topics.
  11. Schreiber says he paid cash to avoid paper trail A man who deals only in cash is suing Mulroney and Mulroney's only crime will be that in Schreiber's view he didn't help him with his business dealings. And I believe they will.
  12. Flaws of logic in Schreiber Affidavit hint to possible Mulroney defence strategy Mulroney is sure he's going to win......if he does, get ready to see another even bigger payout to the ex-PM by the taxpayers and I would say a law suit will follow against the CBC and the Fifth Estate with even more taxpayer dollars for that one.
  13. Probe finds 'phantom' jobs created for ex-political staffers The old laundry is being pulled from the Liberal hamper and it doesn't smell any better than the old laundry that Dion claims the Conservatives have. Looks like a game of who's got the dirtiest laundry......maybe Chretien's and Martin's will find their way on top of the pile next.
  14. Enough dirt to go around in campaign finance allegation Seems everyone did it and isn't any kind of revelation.
  15. ....none in Canada, though.
  16. I'm all for an investigation to the Chretien's property deal that was written on a napkin, also I would like to see a Paul Martin investigation into where he got the money to pay for Canada Steamship Lines. There is much to be properly looked at.
  17. Harper's popularity soars With time, it only gets better.
  18. The Olympics may the reason the CBC is bending over to the Chinese. The CBC may be fearing some sort of backlash from the Chinese when Olympic time comes....one of the CBC's big viewer draws.
  19. Don't see that question being asked by the public being polled.
  20. CBC holds back Falun Gong film The CBC seems more concerned about offending the Chinese and ready to bend than PM Harper when it comes to issues with the Chinese. Yet showing domestic political issues on the Fifth Estate doesn't seem to worry the CBC. What gives?
  21. Is the Green Party aware of your views that "someday soon" Canadians will be forced into slave labour in China?
  22. Yes,the last two.....the two that gives Dion's popularity in comparison to Harper, and the Liberal's standings compared to the Conservative's.
  23. I must have blinked and missed it,....what was that percent again?
  24. NDP wants referendum on Senate Looks like Senate reform is coming much sooner than later.
  25. ....and will for many more. If the Americans become economically introverted with their buying, not only will Canada be in trouble so will most countries who sell more than they buy from the U.S.
